Hello Everyone, I hope you are stress free and looking forward to this Festive Season.
I'm on track, gifts all wrapped, finished that off today and made sure I cut the paper to fit this time. Just a little food shopping to go and that's it.
This is my last post till the New Year, having a wee break from crafting and blogging, but I wanted to thank you all for your continued support in visiting and commenting, I really do appreciate it, And for the lovely cards that I've received from some of you, such kindness.
It's such a busy time, and happy time for most of us, but for many Christmas is a sad time, for lots of many reasons, many of my former clients just dreaded this time of the year. We just have to look at the news to see how difficult it is for some folks, and it's getting worse. I count my blessings that I have my health, family and friends around me. It's a time to remember those who are not so fortunate.
I have a little advice from a Snowman to help you keep calm and carry on,
Wishing each and everyone of you a Peaceful and Joyful Christmas and a New Year filled with Health and Happiness.
Take care of yourselves and see you in 2019

All I Want for Christmas.....!
Hello Everyone, are you nearly there with your preparations?? Hope you are remaining calm and not getting too stressed. I'm pretty lucky in that I now don't really have much to do, so much so that I just wonder how I did it all whist I was still working.
I was getting my knickers in a twist whilst wrapping up Damian, Moreen and the pet's gifts today, every piece of paper I cut was far too short. I should have just left it but I wanted to get it all done. I've been awfully tired, so that didn't help, got it all wrapped eventually, then took myself for a walk to clear my head.
Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my last card, I appreciate each and every comment.
I've had a go at making a card using the Black Ice technique, now it's not really all that difficult, having said that it took me five attempts and burnt out my heat gun in the process, however, determined as I am, I got one I was fairly happy with, what do you think?
I've used an Inkylicious stamp, two pine trees and a John Lockwood sentiment. Silver foil card and dark grey glitter card and of course black card. I didn't think it required .any other embellishments. It was difficult to photograph.
It's Alistair's Christmas card and I'm happy to say he loves it. I think I need more practise, as it seems to EP seems to bubble on the foil, but maybe it just does. If anyone knows different let me know.
The Choral society have been invited to sing a carol concert on Friday at the UHI, University of the Highlands and Islands, Campus which is just down the road from where I live. The university will donate money to our chosen charity that we did the Carolthon for. It will be into the New Year before we know how much we raised for that. That will be the last sing for this year, but I do like Christmas carols.
I hope you are all well, but I know there are a few Blogging Friends who are going through difficult times just now, so sending out healing thoughts to you that you find a measure of comfort and peace.
That's me for tonight, time for a cuppa and a mince pie...of the Christmas type, take care and see you soon,

Christmas Lantern!
Hello Everyone, hoping you are well and ready to begin another weekend. No doubt there will be a business to it as it is ever coming closer to the Big Day.
I was out early to catch the supermarket this morning as I wanted to buy some bits and pieces and the car parks were incredibly full, so it can only get worse as the days go on. Are you all ready yourselves?? We are really, thankfully we have not much to do anyway, as it's gift cards for our younger family members, makes life easier. I do have some wrapping up to do, and no doubt Damian will be over with Moreen's gift for me to wrap up too.
Anyway, I have a little Card-io card today;
This is such a lovely image and of course the sentiment is from Card-io too. Just used a little Versacolour ink for the Lantern's glow. A simple card but so effective. Hope you like it.
This is what I'll be busy doing tomorrow;
Yes, it's time again for our Carolthon, when the Choral members sing in shifts throughout the day in
the Shopping center in Inverness to raise money for our chosen charity. This year it's Inverness Foodstuff, a charity run by one of our local churches who prepare meals for Rough Sleepers, and generally Homeless people, so I'm hoping that the public can manage to be generous, having said that, money for many is a scarce commodity these days, but the generosity of people is always staggering.
So if you are out and about in Inverness tomorrow come along and have a listen, we have a lovely selection of Christmas Carol, and songs, well known and some not so well known and of course a few pieces for Handle's Messiah, and we'er not half bad. This is a concert that I love doing, and I even did it the other year with no voice at all, as the day before I came down with some sort of throat thing and couldn't sing a note...so I just mimed instead.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend whatever you have planned, and I'll see you soon, take care of yourselves,

Christmas Tree Sparkle!
Hello Everyone, how are you all today? well I hope and enjoying your day.
Thank you to everyone who left such lovely comments on my last post, very much appreciated, especially at this busy time.
We are out tonight at Alistair's little concert, a couple of hours or so, and it's all the Traditional music classes doing their bit, so there are all different ages groups and levels of ability. The wee ones especially get so excited, Alistair is so blase....can't find the stress character to place above the e. Anyway, he's an old trooper now.
My card today used a lovely die from The Works;
Very difficult to photograph. It's a lovely die and cuts out a dream even although it's an detailed one. I've cut it twice, one with white card and and then glitter card. I've used a CC embossing folder, them more glitter card.
It's just a short post this time around, hoping to get a visit to your blogs fitted in before I go out. So take care everyone and keep calm,

Cute for the CCC!
Hello One and All, and welcome to my little blog. I hope you are well and enjoying your weekend.
We've had very heavy rain today and at times quite dark, it was a day for staying in. However, I got up early to go to the Post Office to post a parcel, before the queues started, this is the way to go now, and I've warned Alistair that it will be an earlier rise tomorrow for the food shopping, otherwise the stores get too busy, and he has no patience for that.
I had a lovely day....well few hours with my lovely friend Rita on Thursday. I started off on the bus at 8;30, arrived in Glasgow at 12:00 and then had to make sure I was at the bus station at 5:30 for the journey home, so in reality I was longer on the bus than a visit. Anyhow, it was lovely to see her and we had a smashing lunch, then retired to the lounge of the hotel and sat and chatted over our coffee. Soooooo much to chat about, we covered a whole range of subjects and felt we'd managed to put a few things right with the world. It's the first time I've been to Glasgow and not gone to the shops...not even John Lewis. You wouldn't think that sitting on a bus was tiring, but I'm still recovering, but it was well worth it, and I just have to accept that it is what it is when one lives this far North.
So, here I am with the last of our Christmas Card Challenges for 2018, and where has the time gone???? For this challenge Sylvie is the hostess and she would like to see cute cards, here is mine,
Is this cute or what?? This is from a Honey Bee stamp set, it's quite a large stamp and there are about 20 stamps in the set, stars, following snow, tree, fairy lights and more. Honey Bee is an American stamp company and they have some gorgeous stamps. I coloured with Zig watercolour pens. Background is Oxides, SU paper and glitter card. A beautiful snowflake flourish ribbon and gems.
Hope you like it Sylvie, it was a lovely challenge to end the year with and one I really enjoyed.
I mentioned on my last post that I was awaiting a phone call from the GP regarding a blood test. Well he eventually phoned half and hour late, but hey ho, he's a popular doctor, but the lab didn't do the test that was wanted, so my stomach worries are no further forward. I have to say the doctor was really annoyed too, there were some results, but said there wasn't enough blood to carry out all the tests. My doctor doesn't believe this, anyway the upshot is back to have more blood taken next week and it will be into the new year before the results come through. I just hate needles... which is strange you might think coming from someone who injects insulin 4 times a day, but my blood pressure goes up at a great rate of naughts when I have to have blood taken and the nurse always seems to have a difficult job finding a good vein, just have to get on with it.
Right, that's me for now, as my dishwasher is having a night off, I'm off to wash said dishes and tidy the kitchen.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciated it.
Scheduling this for Sunday morning when the Challenge goes live,

New Home!
Hello Everyone, gosh but it's Baltic this morning, it's still -3 outside and despite the heating it's not all that warm indoors either. Hope you are warmer, and well.
I'm waiting for the doctor to phone and I'll find out the results of my blood test taken four weeks ago, yes this is the first appointment I could get with this particular doctor and a phone appointment to boot. Hopefully, there will be some insight to what is causing the stomach issues.
So I thought I would post this little card made for my lovely friend Karen as she has just moved house,
Now, unfortunately, she hasn't moved to an Italian villa, much as she would like....wouldn't we all lol. Some of you might recognise this Micheal Powell image that Docrafts had out a few years back. I bought a few of them as I really love his art work. The sentiment is from a freebie from a crafting magazine.
Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my last card, very much appreciated.
Early start for me tomorrow as I'm travelling down to Glasgow to meet up with my lovely friend Rita...some of you might know of her. I am so looking forward to catching up with her. Her beloved husband Andrew passed away in September, not long after they celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary, it's such a sad time for her and her family, so it will be good to see how she is.
Alistair was down in Glasgow yesterday, meeting up with his school chum and spent the day in the Kelvin Grove Museum and had a smashing day talking about the "old days". Willie is a mountaineer too, and they both began there adventure in the hills from the age of 11 and have had a love affair with them ever since.
Obviously the doctor is running late as the appointment was for 10 o'clock, anyway, that's me for now, have a lovely day whatever your up to, but keep cosy,

Santa's Reindeer!
Hello to You All, I hope all is well with you and your day is good.
We are really dark and it's raining , it's like it's 4pm and not 1.30pm, so lights are on. I don't like the dark days. Any way, it is what it is.
Thank you all for the lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciate each and every one of them and the time it takes to visit.
It's a short post today, not much new from the Currie household, so here's my card;
I love the Hobby Art image, Santa's Reindeer, it's so cute. I wonder what the what the reindeer and robin are saying to one another, perhaps just wishing each other Merry Christmas.
Coloured with watercolours and distressed ink for the background. Sliver glitter card and Navy mats and a JND lovely snowflake folder. <y lovely snowflake flourish is one gifted by Mrs. Duck so not sure of the make, it's a beautiful one whatever it is. Lots of sparkle too.
Off to rummage in the kitchen for my lunch, then off to the hairdresser. It's been years since I've been to one, and my hair is now really quite long, but now finding it a wee bit difficult to manage, and always have to have it up. I hate spending money on the hairdressers, I would rather buy crafting stuff lol. Don't know yet how much to get off it, however it's always lovely to have your head massaged, and a bit of pampering.
That's me for now, take care, keep cosy and see you soon,

A Purrfect Christmas!
Hello Everyone, and I hope you are well and enjoyed your weekend. They go so quickly, but we managed a lovely walk along the canal on Saturday whilst the weather was good, but would you believe it...my foot is still painful from the week before, with the wrong shoes and long stands at the concert. A shadow of pain remains and the walk made it a bit worse, mind you the arthritis doesn't help.....just an old crock really.
Anyway, enough of that. Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my CCC card, all appreciated and I managed not to delete any comments this time around.
Here is a little card that I'm going to enter into the challenge at Moving Along with Times;
I love this new stamp from Hobby Art, and I thought it perfect or purrfect for the challenge of cats, little critters close to my heart. I've coloured the image with SN alcohol pens, not used these for ages, so thought it was time I had another go with them. Oxide to colour the background. Background card and paper is from SU.
It's just such a cute image.
Here is another cutie, although he is in the bad books as he jumped through my blinds on the living room window, and he has completely ripped at least three of the tines.
No use being angry at him, I think Alistair frightened him and he was trying to get away, he's an awful fearty cat, but that's going to be an expense.
So that's me for now, take care of yourselves and see you soon.
I would like to enter my card into; http://movingalongwiththetimes.blogspot.com/2018/11/85-cat-or-cats-mrs-duck.html

All Wrapped Up for the CCC!
Hello Everyone, hoping you are all fine and having a good weekend. They come around so fast don't they!, just think in four weeks time it will be mas Eve, where has the year gone????
Anyway, it's time once again for our little Christmas Card Club to share our latest challenge cards, and this time around is our lovely Carol who has chosen the theme and she would like to see cards depicting "All Wrapped Up!, so I would imagine that you could either used wrapping up presents or in my case wrapping up warmly, here's my card;
As you can see this little penguin is all wrapped with his hat and scarf. I was gifted this image by my friend Mrs. Duck, so I don't know what make it is, but the set comes along with the lovely snowflakes and and a couple of sentiments, I chose to use Cool Yule as I've inked it all up in cool colours.
First Edition Silent Night papers and silver glitter card. Sara Davis snowflake dies and silver twine. Hope this will do Carol, I enjoyed the challenge so thanks very much.
Thank you too everyone for the lovely comments on my last card, and apologies to Sue Drees and Christina because I accidentally deleted their comments, my finger went ahead of my brain and I pressed the delete button instead of publish. I did check to see if I could get them back, but in Blogger once deleted, there's no coming back. So thank you for taking the time to visit and leave a comment. I'm I numpty or what !
That's me for now, this post will be scheduled for the CCC blog going live tomorrow. Have a lovely weekend and I'll see you soon,

Owl be Thinking of You!
Hello Everyone, how are you today...well I hope and enjoying your day.
We are pretty cold today and in the last few days we have had freezing fog, but at least today is bright with a bit of sun.
Thank you all for the lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciate everyone of them.
Our concert on Saturday was really good, it's been a while since there was such a large audience, so there was quite a buzz. Our soloist sang a wonderful melody of songs, including "Charlie is my Darling" and put a new spin on it, in that she made it quite a bit racy with her intonations and actions, the audience really took to it and were chuckling away, and I think the men in particular loved it. Lily is of Greek origin, quite beautiful, tall, slim with very long dark hair and the most marvellous mezzo voice, well understandable that folk were fair taken with her. Our singing too must have been good as there was a standing ovation and lots of cheers and whoops at the end of the concert. Oh but glad it's all over, lots of work but worth it.
I wore the wrong shoes.. I'd forgotten that we had long stands with this music and my feet were about to drop off by the end of the night. I'd worn a pair with little tulip heels, not too high, but as I'm always in flat shoes, this was too much. I could hardly put weight on my right foot on Sunday, it felt that I had crushed my bones. No sympathy at all from hubby as he considered it self inflicted...true, but one wants to look their best on these occasions, and the heels offer a little extra height. It wouldn't be so bad but they are Hotter shoes, therefore not cheap, and all my Hotter shoes are comfy, but never again.
Right, I've bored you silly with this, so on to my card;
Using yet more stamps from an issue of Creative Stamping Magazine, and the background paper is from one of the magazines too. Embossed in Wow gold powder and coloured with watercolour pens. Matted on to red card with a piece of twine. A good card for a man I thought.
Well, that's me for today, I'm trying to catch up with your posts from the last few days, I'll get there in the end, but please forgive if I miss you out.
We are off to the cinema this afternoon to see the new film Peterloo, I remember reading about this piece of history when at school, but it wasn't covered all that much, probably because it was such an awful massacre in British history. Anyhow it's had good reviews.
Take care of yourselves and see you soon,

No sympathy at all from hubby as he considered it self inflicted...true, but one wants to look their best on these occasions, and the heels offer a little extra height. It wouldn't be so bad but they are Hotter shoes, therefore not cheap, and all my Hotter shoes are comfy, but never again.
Right, I've bored you silly with this, so on to my card;

Fancy Trees!
Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and having a grand day.
I took myself into town this morning and started some Christmas shopping, thankfully I don't have much to buy, but I wanted to get a couple of books for Alistair and thought I'd better start early in case I had to have them ordered, but the bookstore had them both, so it was good to cross Alistair's gift off the list.
We have a new chocolate shop opened up in our shopping center... Hotel Chocolate, and guess what.. they are right next door to Thorntons, who thought that one up!! Anyway I nipped in to it and got some pistachio chocolate for Damian, and other bits and pieces. Now the trick will be to keep it for who it is intended for until Christmas. In years gone buy, I had to replace a box of Thornton's Continental Chocolates four times, I had even wrapped them up, that didn't deter me though, shocking or what lol.
Thank you all for the lovely comments on my CCC card, you are all so kind and encouraging.
My card today used a Woodware image and I've used Zig Clean watercolour pens, having first embossed the stamp with WOW silver EP. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. Paper and card from SU and sequins from Neat and Tangled. Ribbon from my box.
I do like these quirky trees, I bought them I think way last year and never got around to using them, hope you like the card... I have to say I love these colours together.
At choral practice last night and it was the last one before our concert on Saturday, so it was an exhausting two hours of singing. The main piece is Karl Jenkins The Armed Man, but there are other pieces by Mendelssohn, Monteverdi, Palestrina and Victoria. Our soloist will do her own thing.
I felt that the two pieces by Palestrina was a bit wobbly, but hopefully all right on the night as they say. Ticket sales are reported to be good as The Armed Man is a crowd puller, a bit like The Messiah, so it all should be good.
Our coffee morning was successful in that we raised almost £900, and here was me thinking that it wasn't as busy as usual, just goes to show.
Right then, that's me for tonight, I've got a bit of blog visiting to do, then I'll be watching the second part of a really interesting programme about Scotland's shameful part in the slave trade, dreadful to think that was where much of our wealth came from, worth watching.

Gift or Decorations for CCC!
Hello to You All, I hope today finds you well and enjoying your weekend.
Fog this morning, but burned off now and it's beautifully sunny, but low, low temperatures.
It's time once again for the CCC girls to share their cards and this is the Lovely Rita's choice, which is Gifts/Decorations. I went with gifts;
Now this was a bit difficult to photograph because of all the sparkle, but I think you can see the heat embossed parceled up gifts in the background, and the lovely tree surrounded by all the gifts ready for Christmas morning. The tree image has been coloured with various mediums and lots of sparkle. All the stamps are from a Creative Stamping magazine, I've been trying to use these stamps, and I have many from over the last few years and I think they are great value for money.
Hope you like it Rita, I had fun doing it as it's a super choice , so thank you.
Lovely coffee morning yesterday and I did win a prize from the raffle, a Panettone cake. I also bout the most gorgeous curried apple chutney, crab apple jelly and a beautifully baked bran loaf. We should find out tomorrow night how much we made for out coffers.
It's the food shopping this morning, once Alistair has completed his chores, have to crack the whip sometimes, I've been waiting for the car to be vacuumed for days now, the floor is covered with dirt and leaves from Derek and Alistair's walking boots after their walk last week.....he didn't notice it needed cleaned....eh?
Thank you for all the lovely comments on my last card. Well that's me for now, have a lovely day and see you soon,

Star Gazing!
Hello Everyone, hope all is well with you today and that you are looking forward to the weekend.
I think we are to have some pants weather, high winds and rain....I hate winds, can cope with the rain okay, but both together is awful.
It's the Choral Society Coffee Morning tomorrow, so it's always good to have decent weather for that, however, there will be lots of gorgeous home baking to eat with the teas and coffee and some to buy too. I know there will be homemade jam too. Our Accompanist, Sheila always plays the grand piano and there is some lovely music. It all takes place in our Town House, a very grand building, it's a lovely way to spend an hour or so, and I usually win something in the raffle.
Apart from this we have no other plans for the weekend.
Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciate each and every one of them.
Another little Card-io card today and another one that was in the selection I gave to Moreen and this was her favourite.....wonder if you can guess why!
Yes that's right, it's all about the animals. Isn't the sweets image, I love it, and mean to make one for myself. The sentiment is from Creative Stamping magazine. I heat embossed the star in silver, which I won't do again, as it didn't turn out so well. I sprinkled some Frantage Snow and some sparkle.
Well that's me for now, I will be back on Sunday with my CCC card. Have a lovely evening and weekend and see you soon,

Go Wild!
Hello Everyone, I hope today finds you tip top, but kind thoughts going out to those of you who are struggling a bit that things will get better soon.
Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my celebratory cards and the good wishes for Alistair's birthday and our Anniversary. Everyone is so kind.
I've got another birthday card today, this one was made for Kerr who is my friend Dale's Grandson and we can hardly believe that he is now 15 years old, I remember holding him when his mum brought him home from hospital and it seems like yesterday. Kerr has always been a lovely little boy and he's turning into a super young man, anyway here's the card,
Kerr is at an age where I'm finding it difficult to make an appropriate card for him, but I thought this image from a fabulous set of stamps from Creative Stamping magazine a month or so ago was perfect, and I know everyone love elephants, so out of all the fabulous animal stamps in the set, I settled on this wonderful one of mum and baby elephants. Background made with Oxides I was rather pleased with how it turned out, and I know Kerr liked it as he phone to say thank you.
Talking about elephants, we were so amused watching The Zoo last night, and the cute antics the new baby elephant got up to, and the spoiled brat of a chimpanzee called Tina, I just find animals provide fabulous entertainment. Does anyone watch this programme?
So that's me for now, pretty cold here today so I'm staying cosy indoors, take care everyone and see you soon,

For My Fine Fellow!
Hello Everyone from a dreich Inverness. It's a day for curling up by the fire....if we had one that is.
Awfully dark too and of course raining. Oh well, it's just weather.
The weather hasn't dampened Alistair's spirits as it's his birthday and he's having a lovely day, here's his card;
As Alistair loves waistcoats this stamp from Woodware is just perfect for his card. I stamped and then paper pieced the image with some lovely tartan paper from an old LOTV paper pad, then used some WoS to colour the lining and the pockets. The sentiment comes from the same set. The corner stamps are from SU. He loved it.
Thank you for the lovely comments on yesterday's anniversary card, you are all very kind and we had a lovely lunch out, in fact it was a carvery and we felt stuffed afterwards... it did save me cooking at night though.
Well that's all the family occasions over till Damian's birthday in January, and then it all starts again.
Out tonight to Choral practice and Alistair has his fiddle lesson, all go really.
Cheerio for now and take care,

Still in Heaven!
Hello Everyone, hoping you are all well and having a good weekend. These weekends seem to come around so quickly, wish time would slow down a bit.
Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my previous card, I do appreciate all your kind words.
Quiet day for me here, pottering about with bits and pieces of house work and a bit of crafting, but tomorrow we are going out for a celebratory lunch as it's our wedding anniversary....23 years, 😊 can hardly believe it, I remember our wedding day like it was yesterday. Here is the card I've made for Alistair;
When I saw this fab image from Mo Manning I thought, just perfect for the occasion. I love dancing and don't really get much opportunity to do it now. Anyway, Zig Clean Colour Pens were used to colour the image and then SN Glitter pens on the dress. The musical EF is from SB, which I've had of years and I then used silver wax from Pebeo. A few sequins and job done. The sentiments are along with the image. I think it's a brilliant digi set.
Well that's me for now, I'll be back later with Alistair's birthday card, his special day is on the 5th November, a date no one forgets.
Enjoy your evening and see you soon,

Taking Home the Tree!
Hello Everyone, hoping you are fit and well and enjoying your day, but just in case you'er not so good, sending out kind thoughts that you will feel better soon.
Thank you all for the visits and the lovely comments on my previous card, so much appreciated.
Teallach was at the vet today to have his booster injection, oh and he was not happy. Poor little puss was quite stressed about it all and of course he hates going into his carrier and tries to run and hide, but we eventually got him in.
At his check up last year the vet thought she heard a bit of a heart murmur, and today a different vet heard the same thing. However, it's around a level 3, which is worth watching, but no real trouble at the moment. I've not seen him breathless and he still plays and runs around like a mad thing, so I guess it's not holding him back any.
He fine now, we both had a quiet day, I was as stressed as him I think, and Alistair was out this afternoon so all was peace and calm.
Here is my card;
I've been trying to use the lovely stamps from Creative Stamping magazine, I think they are really super and stamp very well. I really loved this little car carrying the Christmas tree home. The tree has been stamped twice and decoupaged. I've coloured with watercolours and added splashes of colour and some Frantage Snow and a few sequins. It's my take on a sample card in the magazine and not my design. I like the CAS style.
Well that's me for tonight, I'm rather tired as I've had very poor sleep over the last few nights, but If I go to bed early, I wake up about 2 o'clock and then can't get back to sleep, I just think thank goodness not to be having to go to work. So, I hope you like my card and hope to see you soon,

Christmas Geese!
Hello To Everyone, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead.
Awfully cold here, what's it like where you are?? This cold snap seems to be all over the country. Keep yourselves cosy.
Thank you for the lovely comment on my last cards, you are so kind with your words, and it always gives me encouragement.
My card today is for Scrappymo's Rudolph Challenge,
Love this stamp from Hobby Art, there are actually three stamps with these fabulous geese, I've coloured with Zig Clean Colour pens and Oxide inks on the sky, and of course lots of sparkle. I've layered on to glitter card and paper from Dovecraft and the base card is also Dovecraft in a similar soft green colour, finishing off with little green buttons and some silver wire thread.
Now I know some of you lovely people are FB friends, so I just want to let you know that I've deleted my FB account, it was on the cards for a while, but now I've finally gotten around to actually doing it. I was spending too much time on it, and I was fed up with some of the rubbish that came through. If there was one thing....and there was many, it was these awful emotional posts where if you cared for me or my cause you'd post it on your page. My thoughts are that if I've included you as a friend, that's exactly what you are and there should be no need to keep responding. I guess it's like the old fashioned chain letters that used to fall on the doormat. Anyway, I joined FB for a reason that didn't pan out and as I don't need it for Crafting, have no family I need to keep touch with, I decided to call it quits, and do you know...I feel liberated!!!
As I'm typing this I'm watching Imitation of Life with Lana Turner and I've got my tissues at the ready, it's a film I love and seen many times, I've even warned Alistair that he'll have to miss the 1 o'clock news as the film won't be finished. These sorts of films are just not made any more.
That's me for now, have a great day and see you soon,

Winter Wonderland for CCC!
Hello Everyone, I hope your Sunday and indeed your weekend is going well.
It's time of the CCC ladies to show off their cards.... where has the last two weeks gone??
Anyhow this Challenge chosen by our lovely Christine is most appropriate for me, as we have a bit of a Winter Wonderland here in Inverness. Yesterday we had snow. I was up around o'clock to let Teallach in and noticed that the sky looked really laden, and I thought ...snow, and by the time I had the kettle boiled for a coffee it had started, it looked just lovely, however, by later in the morning it had gone, except the mountains and the higher ground.
Anyway, on to my cards;
Well no prizes for guessing that I've used Card-io stamps again....love them, and the second one with the horses is a new one I bought the other week. Just added loads of glitter and some frantage snow.
I hope you like them Christine, it is a lovely challenge to do and had great fun with the stamps.
I've made a bunch of cards, Card-io included for Moreen to use this year and took them across yesterday and I am happy to say she loved them. Milo and Rowan were a bit miffed that they weren't for them, I had forgotten to take their treats with me, naughty Gran.
That's me for now, a pan of Scotch Broth to make, it's the right weather for it, so I'll see you soon, and don't forget to have a visit to the other girls on the CCC team and see what they have made.... thanks too for all your lovely comments on my previous card, take care,

Winter Breeze!
Hello Everyone from a very cold Inverness.....4 degrees this morning Brrrrr!! Alistair informs me that Ben Wyvis is plastered in snow, lovely to look at but not yet good to walk up.The woolie socks are now on.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciate all your kind words.
Heading in to another weekend, boy do they come around so quickly!, no plans as yet, it might be another quiet one.
Back with more Snowmen this time from Card-io and aren't they just so much fun. Pity however about the lantern where I hadn't let the ink dry enough before I added the the yellow ink for the light, next time I will do the yellow first.
I also bought the chunky white embossing powder to make the snow, not showing up in this photo but it is there as is lots of glitter.
I've been busy making quite a few of Card-io cards to give to Moreen as I thought she might like to give some handmade cards this year. I love the Card-io images and I was once again inspired by Wendy when she was on Hochanda last week, she makes the most wonderful cards and oes it so quickly too.
Well, that's me for now, I'll be back at the weekend with the latest CCC card, seems no time since I posted the last one, take care and cheerio for now,

Christmas Cheer from the Snow Family!
Hello Everyone, hoping today finds you tip top and having a good day.
A windy day up here, but not too bad, some sunshine and a good drying day....except I've given the washing machine a day off.
Thank you for all the lovely comments on my last card, you are all so kind.
Not much by way of news or stories today.....you'll be glad lol, so I'll get down to showing my card;
We all I think love LOTV images, and I particularly love the sweet Snow Family which I've coloured with water colours and added loads of glitter. The sentiment I think is one of the freebies from Creative Stamping magazine, a bit of matting and layering and some gems and one finished card.
I'm enjoying a quiet afternoon as Alistair is away over to Dougie's house for a bit of music, so I'm catching up with bits and pieces, well I will be after a cuppa.
That's me for today, I hope you like my card, who can resist a snowman or two, take care of yourselves and see you soon,

Not much by way of news or stories today.....you'll be glad lol, so I'll get down to showing my card;
