Gifts, Bows, and Ribbons for the CCC!

 Hello from a very sunny Inverness, gorgeous day here, albeit, 0 degrees first thing in the morning Brrrr, anyhoo, it's warmed up a bit, and the air feels crisp and clean.

Once again it's time for the CCC girls to show their latest creations and Zoe this time chose the theme, Gifts, Bows and Ribbons, or Anything goes if you can't manage that.

I managed 4 this time;

I would like to enter this card into: https://scrapsoflifebyscrappymo.blogspot.com/2020/09/september-rudolph-days-challenge.html

Image and sentiment from Enchanted Christmas by Docrafts, from a loooong time ago. The background paper is from  Docrafts too, but I can't remember which range. Coloured with Altenew watercolours, DI and glitter.

 Another image from Enchanted Christmas, this lovely fairy is coloured with Altenew watercolours, lots of glitter and gems. The set also had beautiful velum and this is one of them I've used in the background.

Yet again from Enchanted Christmas, and Santa is coloured with Black Widow  pencils and Gel pens. I've used more of the lovely coloured velum and DI.

I've shown the inside as I'm going to enter that into;http://www.didosdesigns.com/2020/09/inside-out.html

Kingfisher at the Lake!

 Hello Everyone,  has Autumn arrived where you are? it certainly has for us, it was 1 degree when I got up this morning to let Teallach in, it fair took my breath away, but it's been a lovely day.

I met up with my friend Fiona this morning, first time since before lockdown, it was soooo good to catch up with her. Our cathedral here in Inverness has a lovely little cafe so we met there as we knew it would be quiet and there were tables outside, so a latte and a cheese scone with jam, what welcome as it was a tad chilly.

I so enjoyed listening to her story of climbing up Ben Nevis, a sponsored walk for the Gurkha's Welfare Fund, her Dad was in the Regiment and she completed the walk on his birthday, a lovely man who died last year. Fiona has never climbed a mountain in her life, so she did marvellously well, and collected well over £1000 for the charity. Said she could hardly walk for  a week afterwards.

She works in a care home and it was interesting listening to how the home, residents and staff have been managing fro the last 6 months. Thankfully, no deaths and the staff are tested every week, plenty of PPE, and each member of staff has these white suits  if needed. It's good to hear that it's all going well as we hear in the news the awful times some care homes are going through.

Anyhoo, I've got a card I'd like to enter into;

http://sirstampalotchallenge.blogspot.com/2020/09/september-challenge.html

I took inspiration from an edition of Creative Stamping Magazine and made this card using the free stamps, the kingfisher is coloured with coloured pencils. I thought it was a lovely design for a male and as I needed a card for a family friend who has had a stroke, I thought this would do.

Thank you for all your visits and comments, I do appreciate your time and love to read the comments.

That's me for today, take care of yourselves,

Every Day!

 Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well, and keeping safe, the virus is on the rise and I'm pretty sure we will have stricter measures soon.

Our weather has changed once again, much cooler and very dull, might have to put the heating on later, but the last few days have been a bonus.

I've got a card today that I want to enter into; http://theflowerchallenge.blogspot.com/2020/09/the-flower-challenge-48-colour-brown.html

I've used a stamp set from Altenew called Whimsical Flowers and Quotes and coloured with Black Widow pencils and gel pens. A few clear gems and brown and pink card with a Kraft base card.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last card, as always you are very kind.

Well that's me for now, just a quick post today, cheerio for now and see you soon,

Just Because Butterflies!

 Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and having a good weekend and enjoying this bit of sunshine and heat that's come our way at the moment. The sun shining makes such a difference and I find I get more done. Alistair even made apple crumble with our own apples, delish with custard and cream, very indulgent, and I hat to think what it's done to my blood sugar 😋

Thank you all for the lovely comments on my last coloured page and for your continued visits, it's very much appreciated.

I have a card today, one I made a while ago;

Now as it's a while since I made this I'm not sure about all the elements, but I think the butterflies were a freebie stamp from a magazine and it looks like they are coloured with Copics, it's a simple wee card.

Jus a short post tonight, so take care of yourselves, especially as the virus is rising again, cheerio for now,

Penciled Blooms!

 Hello To Everyone,  hope all is well with you today and that your week is going fine so far.

I've been reading on your blogs that you've been having some grand weather, ours has been really quite changeable, but noticeably cooler, suits me though.

As I type this I have Alistair in shouting in my ear at the leader in the Tour di France race. It is an exciting one as it's an other mountain race and the gradient for the finish is punishing, I really don't know where these guys get the stamina to get to the end of the race. Mind you there is no social distancing with the spectators lol.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last post and a warm welcome to Jackie who has clicked the Follow button, thank you Jackie and I hope you will manage to pop in when you can.

I have a finished page today;

 This is a fabulous book with so many beautiful illustrations, difficult to choose really.

I coloured with Prismacolour pencils and some gel pens and coloured the background with chalk pastels, which was a bit tricksy getting in between the pencils, I also put sound Pixi Dust on to some of the images. Hope you like it.

Well, that's me done for today, hoping to get a bit of knitting in before getting the dinner together, so take care of yourselves and see you soon,

Sentiment as Focus!

 Hello Everyone, I hope you are all fine and enjoying the weekend.

It's time once again for the Christmas Card Club to show off their creations and it's my lovely friend Rita who has chosen the theme of Sentiment as Focus, here's what I've come up with;

This is a Chloe stamp which I've coloured with Prismacolour pencils and embossed with Copper WOW powder. I've just noticed I've not coloured a bit of the last Ho, silly me, rushing to get it done.
This lovely die is from the Works, cuts out beautifully, mounted onto blue card them First Edition Silent Night paper and a few gems.

Another The Works die, cuts beautifully, I cut it in gold and red and them attempted to shadow them.....not all that great, but hey ho, matted on to black card and added some gem.

All very simple so I hope they will do Rita, a lovely challenge, so thank you for the theme.

Having said that, the challenge for me these days is in making a card at all, I leave them till the last minute then rush, and then of course make mistakes.

Anyway, that's another few for the box.

Thank you for your continued visits and comments I do appreciate your time.

Pouring rain today, so it's an indoor day, getting a few chores done and a bit of colouring and knitting.

Enjoy your day whatever you are doing, keep yourselves safe, and don't forget to have a look at what the other CCC girls make,

Cosy Polar Bear!

 Hello Everyone, how'r you all doing? I hope you are well and still keeping safe.

Unfortunately the virus is spreading again in Scotland, however, thankfully there haven't been many deaths. It really is quite a worry especially as we are heading into the Winter illness period.

The gym I go to has reopened....much too soon in my opinion, but the aqua classes are not yet up and running, maybe for another few weeks, they were the only activity I used the gym for. I have however decided not to go back for a time yet. I can't see how they will manage the changing room. They will have to reduce the size of the class when they do start again, quite right too, but it could mean that unless you are lucky to book in time you could end up paying a subscription for a service you aren't getting,  I hate throwing money away like that, anyway well see how it pans out.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last post, I do appreciate all of them and the time it takes to visit my blog.  I have another page completed;

I love this Polar Bear with his cosy scarf, and I've coloured it all in Black Widow Pencils and gel pens in various shades of blue and white. The background is DI and Sparkle Medium, I use a MFT Snow Flurry stencil. Imagination Crafts seem to have disappeared now, I loved their different colours of Sparkle Medium, there was a gorgeous shimmery paint too, it's name escapes me just now. I've had to throw quite a few jars out as it's gone hard.

Anyhoo, this is the colouring book this page is from;

There are so many beautiful illustrations to choose from.

That's me for now, I hope your day is going well, it's been a bit cold here, and dull, though thankfully not raining. Take care of yourselves,

Cosmos and Diamonds!

 Hello  Everyone, how are thing s with you? I hope you are well and that you are enjoying your weekend.

It's been a quiet one here, and a really lovely day. I was up really early and decided to go for a walk, had the way to myself, not even traffic on the road, just lovely, I could hear the bird song, and the rustle of the hedges with the little birds in them...and whatever other sorts of creatures, came back home and settled down to have breakfast. I must do this kind of thing more often.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last post, as always you are so kind.

I have a card for you today, one I made ages ago at the beginning of lockdown when I was sending cards out to friends;

Both the floral image and the diamond shapes are by Honey Bee stamps, Cosmos flower and Diamond Patterns. For the life of me I can't remember what medium I used on the flower but it was embossed in Wow white EP and I stamped the diamonds in various shades of ink. I drew in a stitched frame and added a few gems.

Anyhoo, that's me for tonight, off to watch Paul Whitehouse and Bob Mortimer Gone Fishing, a lovely gentle humorous half hour programme. Take care everyone, it seems that the virus is one the rise again,

Oooooh Treasure!

 Hello Everyone, I hope all is well with you and that your week is going well. I've sort of lost the plot in terms of knowing what day it is. t's been a hectic time here with one thing and another, and them to cap it all I've had to sort out a new email address as my old one had been hacked. I was getting load of foreign emails through, fortunately I didn't open them, but what a pain having to delete them all day after day. Then another strange thing happened with them, that I won't explain as I just can't.

So the only thing was to have a new address, so I've spent all day, updating everyone I deal with and obviously important ones like banks, utilities etc. needless to say my brain is mush. I've not done it here, I had a look but I can't see where to do it, maybe some of you might know how it's done. I hate scammers, I'd hang the lot of them!!

Anyhoo I've got another coloured page for you today;

Another page from Johanna Basfords Lost Ocean book.

I just love this jolly octopus, well he would be having found all this treasure.  Coloured mainly with Derwnet  Procolour and Coloursoft pencils, some gel pen and chalk pastels for the background.Hope you like it.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my last post and also for giving the info for editing the photo, you see there is always someone who is blogger savvy and can help, in this case there was quite a few of you clever people.

That's me for today, I'm sorry I've not had the time to comment on your blogs and I think I've left it too long to catch up, so forgive and I'll try and get back into the grove soon, take care everyone,
