Good Afternoon Everyone and I hope the weather is better where you are, it's been pelting of rain most of the day, however, we are lucky to have no flooding unlike those poor folk in the South of the Country, It's just so awful for them, I can't imagine what it would be like having your home ruined in that way, my heart goes out to them.
Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last card, Damian thought it was "smart".
I've been trying to get around to commenting on your wonderful creations, but have only managed a few, so please forgive if I've missed you, it's not been intentional.
I,ve been working my days this week altogether, and having a late shift and working Saturday, I'm way behind things, and boy was I tired last night, couldn't even pick up my knitting, but it's just all getting used to this new way of working.
I do have a card today,
I've used one of the lovely images from LOTV Art Pads, Cute Cottage Garden
XCut die shapes
Hunkydorry Card
Sentiment from Floral Sentiments, Flower Soft
Ribbon and Dazzler from my box
It's a card for one of my work colleagues who has been diagnosed with mouth cancer and has had her first bit of surgery. I believe it will be quite a long haul for her with lots of reconstruction involved, thankfully she has come through the first bit OK.
Just goes to prove you never know what's around the corner for you.
Well that's me for today, I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend, and see you soon

Baby Boy!
Hello to You All, I do hope that all is well with you lovely folk, but here is a HUG just in case you need one.
Thanks to everyone who left comments on my last post, you are all very kind.
I've had a lovely time on my days off, but all good things must come to an end as I go back to work tomorrow, and it will be the first late shift I've worked since last April, no doubt I'll be flagging by the end of the day. Upward and onward though, I'm sure it will be fine.
Just a short post today showing a card I made some time ago but never got around to post;
The image and most of the papers are from a MCS CD Elementary Card Kits
Yellow card
LOTV sentiment
Ribbon, Pearls, Button and Gems all from my box
I think it's quite sweet, just one to have in my stock box.
Now before I go I thought you might like to see one of the wonderful views from our friend's home who we visited at the weekend;
The view is looking towards the Torridon Mountains where there is still a little snow left on them, but it was disappearing fast. The beach in the foreground is called Big Sands and what a gorgeous beach it is. This glorious view is what you step out to when you wake up and, depending which way you look you can see the Isle of Skye straight ahead and to the right are the Isles of Harris and Lewis. We are so lucky having friends living in areas like this and to be so welcoming.
I shall love you and leave you and hope to see you soon, take care everyone,

Vintage Car!
Hello Blogging Friends and Visitors, back once again, I think I'm getting longer and longer between my posts...... Anyway, I hope you are all well, and having some better weather where you are.
Thank you all so much for your kind comments on my last card, I do appreciate you taking the time to come and visit. I've been trying to catch up on your blogs, but sorry if I've miss some. There has been some wonderful creations from all you talented crafters, it's been a pleasure touring around your blogs.
Alistair and I have been away for a few days visiting our friends Isabelle and Graeme in Gairloch, and what a lovely time we had. The weather was great and of course the scenery is stunning. We had some wonderful beach walks too, really blew away the cobwebs, and Isabelle fed us like kings.
It is so peaceful there, I even slept better, and not watching TV was a bonus, just sitting by the fabulous log fire knitting and reading, so relaxing.
I managed to finish Damian's birthday card, his birthday is on the 25th January;
It was a wee bit difficult to photograph with all the gold. so sorry about that.
Tim Holtz Sissix Old Jalopy Die cut with Adorable Scorable Card
Kanban Papers
SB Snow flake die,(I thought it looked like a cog)
Marianne "Happy Birthday "die
Tattered Lace Alphabet Die
Gems from my box
Always a bit difficult to think up something for my lad, but he does like cars so hoping he will like this.
Just before I go I thought I would show you the Shoulder Shrug I made with the beautiful Alpaca yarn I bought at the Craft Fair last year. It's made by a yarn company from Scotland called Alpaca Loft and they have their own herd of alpacas called The Tartan Toories who are just gorgeous;
Isn't this the most wonderful blue, the photo just doesn't do it justice, it's almost a purpley blue. The shawl pin I just love, my friend Fiona gave it to me for Christmas after asking her dad to make it. He is the most talented wood turner.
So that's me for today and almost time to go and prepare the diner.
Keep well and see you soon

Here is my inspirational card;

A simple card to do, but such a lovely image. I hope it offers you some inspiration. Don't forget to pop into CCAYR and see what lovely cards my fellow DT's have made.

Wedding Card!
Good Afternoon Everyone,
I hope everyone is well and to those of you who are not, well I'm sending out kind thoughts in the hope you'll be feeling better.
It's been a week since I last posted anything, but I have been beavering away in the background trying to get some cards made.
Thank you all so much on your kind comments on my Peacock card, I appreciate them so much. I was planning on that card for Moreen's birthday, but I wasn't too sure, but now I think I will use it for her. I'm busy trying to get Damian's finished, I always find it difficult to finding inspiration for his.
Well, I had my first week at my part-time hours and I think it will work out OK. However, I was tired after Thursay's shift, but the more I get used to it the easier it will be. I am really thinking reducing my hours is one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Have you noticed the days are getting longer? Spring won't be long. We have had a mixture of sunshine and darkness, in fact I thought it would snow but, nothing so far..... fingers crossed.
Here is my card for today;
I was asked to make a wedding card by one of my clients, he is so excited to be invited to this wedding, it's a really big deal for him, but he couldn't give me much in the way of information, so I just decided to stick to white. H's also not sure when the wedding is, bless him, I hope his support workers have got a handle on it.
Anyway, a crafting friend had given me these beautiful circles, they are SB large dies, but I don't know the name of them. I was keeping them for something special, so this is the special something.
Tonic dies for the center piece and a computer generated sentiment,
WO Roses and Pearl Pins
Hobby House Pearls
I've just to make a box for it and it's ready to go.
I'm off to have a tour around your blogs to see what you've all been up to.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Peacock!
Good Morning Friends and Visitors, and Happy New Year to You!
I hope everyone is well and not being affected by all this awful weather, it looks devastating and I can't imagine what it must be like to have your home ruined by flooding.
We here in Inverness seam to have a micro climate all of our own, and by and large we have had not too many bad days, New Year's Day was beautiful, bright and sunny, lovely for a walk.
I've been on holiday since before Christmas and will be going back tomorrow, sad but there you go, but I've had a lovely break and feel rested. I will now be starting my reduced hours, a whole new phase of life for me, I wonder how it will go!
Thank you all so much for your comments on my last card, I do appreciate them all. I've been trying to keep up with your lovely creations, but appologies if I've missed anyone out. Not been doing all that much in the way of card making myself, I think I overdosed last year. It was good to have a wee break from it and getting some knitting done.
I've also been setting up my new laptop, and I am getting used to it, not easy as it's Windows 8 and I can see why people don't like it, it's very strange to use, so different from the old PC which is XP, but I'm just taking my time with it.
I think when I was cleaning up the old PC, I must have deleted something that's made me loose my lovely Blog Heading, haven't a clue what I've done, but it's gone, so that is something else to sort out.
Anyhow, I do have a card to share today and here it is;
The Peacock die is by Tattered Lace
SB Rose Creations
All other dies are Tonic, Decorative Wreath Rings
First Edition Rose Garden Paper
Kanban Rainbow Coloured Card
Centural Pearl card in Ivory
Hobby Craft Lace
Dazzler and gems from my box
Glamour Dust in Crystal
This is the first time I've used Tattered Lace dies and I think they are lovely, I will be having more when the bank balance allows.
Is'nt this a strange one.... I began this post on the new computer and got to the bit where I was adding the photo to the page, it uploaded fine, then It wouldn't transfer to the paded when I clicked to add the photo. I've had to finish this off on the old computer. any one any idea what I might be missing out on the new computer? all help gratefully received.
I hope you like my card, wasn't too sure of my colours and felt the peacock didn't stand out all that well.
That's me for today, enjoy whatever your doing
