First Christmas Card for 2024, Tinsel and Sparkle!

Hello Friends and Visitors,  I hope you are well, but sending healing thoughts to those of you who are struggling just now.

A beautiful cold day here, bright sunshine, but dry and not too much wind. I hate the wind, always have, don't mind the rain so much and will still go for a walk, but wind keeps me indoors.

I've got my first Christmas card of 2024,

My card was inspired by Kathy Lake who is part of the Delbello Design Team.

Card-io stamps are the stamps of choice, from various sets, with a Lavinia Stamps sticker sentiment.

I used Element Inks with the salt technique, which I loved doing, it's so effective. I used lots of glitter for the sparkly snow. Mounted on to platinum card.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my previous card, that's all from me today, have a lovely restful weekend and I'll be back soon,

With Sympathy!

Hello Friends and Visitors, I hope you are well and enjoyed your weekend. Also hope you are not suffering any damage from the awful storm that's been happening over the weekend.  We had some high winds and battering rain yesterday, especially through the night, quite frightening.

On Saturday I was singing with a huge chorus in our cathedral, Messiah, around 300 voices and a large orchestra. It was an amazing day but so long, stared rehearsing at 9.30 until 5 o'clock and performance at 7 o'clock, add to that that the Cathedral was so cold it was an exhausting day. The Cathedral was packed for the performance with a very appreciative audience. The chorus was made up of different choirs, or singers who just wanted to sing. It was great to be part of it. Yesterday was a say of doing little and gargling my throat ☺

Thank you for you lovely comments on my last card, I'm here today with a Sympathy card for a  lady who was part of our Christmas Card Club who lost her lovely  Husband a few weeks ago, who had never really recovered for having Long Covid,

Just a very simple card using one of the new Lavinia stamps, stamped in Versafine Clair Morning Mist with a few splatters from Elements Ink.

Well, that's me for now, take care of yourselves and see you soon

Butterfly and the Cat!

Hello Friends and Visitors, I hope you are well and keeping warm and cosy in this freezing weather. We have a good layer of snow, which is causing poor Teallach an awful dilemma around going out for his business 😄

Sorry not to have been around in Blogland for a while, so I will have missed many of your posts, but I'll certainly be having a looks tonight.

I have a card made for my daughter-in-law's birthday tonight.

I've used a rather old Sweet Poppy Stencil with lovely cat sitting on the window. Inked with Elements Ink and coloured with Kuretake Zig watercolour pens. Wink of Stella and silver foil. I also decorated the envelope with lovely Mooch from Lavinia Stamps. Moreen's birthday isn't till February, but I thought I would get ahead.

Thank yo so much for your lovely comments on my last card, as always your comments are so kind.

That's me for now, take care of yourselves, especially if you're out in the snow and ice, Cheerio till next time,

Magnus!

Hello Friends and Visitors, I hope you are well and enjoying your weekend.

We've had a few lovely days here in Inverness, although cold the sun was shinning and no rain or wind. Great for walks. Need to get the extra pounds off from all the extra treat eating over the Festive Time. Not easy, but all the chocolates, mince pies, crisps and dips are all gone now.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last post of my coloured picture, as always you are so kind.

I've a card tonight, made for my Son's birthday in a couple of weeks, he wouldn't be looking at my blog so safe to post it,

I've gone for a sepia colour pallet, and all the stamps are by Lavinia Stamps with the gorgeous Magnus as the main focus. I used Elements Inks and Posca pen in glitter yellow. Lavinia sticker sentiments and some pastel pencil in yellow for highlights. This design was inspired by the fabulous Jo Rice, Head DT with Lavinia Stamps.

That's me for now, enjoy your evening, take care,

Christmas Clock!

Happy New Year to you All, I hope it will be a really good one for everyone, filled with Happiness, Health and Contentment.

We had a very quiet Hogmanay, tried to sit up for the bells, then realised we were forcing ourselves to do so when we would rather be in bed reading our good books, so off we went to bed. Can't really be bothered with it all now, is that an age thing do you think! Anyway, if  any of you good folks managed to have celebrations I hope they were fabulous and yo enjoyed them.

I managed to get a bit of colouring done during the festive period,

This page is from Johanna's Christmas Colouring Book and I used Derwent Chromaflow and Derwent Drawing Pencils. Not pencils I use often but I have to say I enjoyed using them on this books paper. I also used gel pens and Star Dust Stickles. In the background I used a Lavinia Stamps Stencil, Leaf Trails in Elements Ink. I enjoyed colouring this page, it's  been ages since I've coloured up a page.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my last card, as always you  are so kind.

That's all from me for now, take care of yourselves and see you soon
