With Sympathy!

Hello Friends and Visitors, I hope you are well and enjoyed your weekend. Also hope you are not suffering any damage from the awful storm that's been happening over the weekend.  We had some high winds and battering rain yesterday, especially through the night, quite frightening.

On Saturday I was singing with a huge chorus in our cathedral, Messiah, around 300 voices and a large orchestra. It was an amazing day but so long, stared rehearsing at 9.30 until 5 o'clock and performance at 7 o'clock, add to that that the Cathedral was so cold it was an exhausting day. The Cathedral was packed for the performance with a very appreciative audience. The chorus was made up of different choirs, or singers who just wanted to sing. It was great to be part of it. Yesterday was a say of doing little and gargling my throat ☺

Thank you for you lovely comments on my last card, I'm here today with a Sympathy card for a  lady who was part of our Christmas Card Club who lost her lovely  Husband a few weeks ago, who had never really recovered for having Long Covid,

Just a very simple card using one of the new Lavinia stamps, stamped in Versafine Clair Morning Mist with a few splatters from Elements Ink.

Well, that's me for now, take care of yourselves and see you soon

Sounds like the come and sing Messiah with a big orchestra and chorus was a wonderful day Kate, but can understand that you were tired afterwards..a bit of a marathon. It is always sad to have to make a sympathy card, but it is perfect with the wonderful Lavinia leaf image and works well on the slimline card. x

Always hard to make, but your friend is going to appreciate this beautiful card so very much. Nicely done, Kate.

What a very long day for you at the Cathedral but one I bet you loved and enjoyed being included in.

Very elegant and such soothing colours. We didn't have any damage from Elisha just the dustbin deciding to go walk abouts in the wind. It didn't make its escape though as it got halted by the garden gate being shut and bolted. Hugs Mrs A. p.s. We have storm Joceyln coming in tomorrow!!

Gosh sounds like a long day, glad all you had to do was gargle the day after? This card is so beautiful and very elegant Kate, so sad Covid is still taking people.

A belated visit and a C&P comment I'm afraid as MS preventing me doing much still, but can at least take a peek at what everyone is creating.
