Good Evening to You, I hope everyone is tip top and enjoying their evening.
It's been perishing cold here today, we are back into Winter again. The snow on Sunday didn't lie too long, but it feels as if there could be more to come.
I'm on my own for a few days as Alistair is visiting his brother who has had a hip replacement, and he just wants to get him settled in at home and to make sure he has some support in place. Jim had his other hip replaced two or three years ago and has done very well with the new one, we're hoping that this one will do the trick too. It's lovely to have a bit of time to myself though, even if I'm doing nothing much. Then at the weekend he is of with is wee pals for the traditional canoeing trip, more time to myself and I'm off work so I plan to get a few bits done around the house, just hoping the weather will pick up.
Thank you all for the super comments on my last card, I know it takes up time to visit but I do appreciate them.
My card this evening is one made for the CB Colour Challenge;
I've used the gorgeous Butterfly Dress from CB and coloured them with SN, SB Elegant Circles Dies
Embossilious EB folder, Lace and Ribbon from my box, Roses given to me by Blogging Friend Lorraine, Liquid Pearls, Flower soft Sentiment.
I'm not sure if my colours will do, but they are the nearest I've got.
This card is for my friend Dale's birthday, she doesn't look at my blog so I'm safe to show it. I've just make a box for it now.
That's me for tonight, off to bed for a bit of a read before the Land of Nod,

Stars for The Christmas Card Club!
Good Afternoon Everyone, I hope you are all well and enjoying your Sunday.
Alistair and I went for a walk this morning over the dam at Lochluchart, on the way to Ullapool, it was cold and a bit overcast but fine, whilst sitting having our bit of lunch we could see weather coming in towards us in a pincer movement, and it looked grim. However, we just made it back to the car when the snow started, it was pretty heavy, like driving through a blizzard, however got back to Inverness safely only to have a telling off from Teallach who was desperate to get back indoors, he had refused to go inside before we left, he was fine after a plate of Felix and a cuddle and we settled with coffee and biscuits. Won't be putting the winter woollies away just yet.
Today's card is for our fortnightly CCC and this time around it's the lovely Mrs. A's choice which is STARS, here is my offering;
I've used a kit by Hunkydory that come free with one of their magazines a couple of years ago because there are lots of stars on the image. Golden Mirri Stars cut with Signature dies, Papermania, red Domes, Star Dust and a red and gold ribbon from my box.
Please pop in and see what the other CCC ladies have made, bound to be super creations.
Alistair has just been in touch with one of our friends who goes over to Nepal to teach, thankfully no one in the village that he goes to has been killed or injured in this devastating earthquake, but their village has been flattened. We are just so lucky in this country that we don't have these major disasters. We are just so pleased that Derek is home here as he was out in Katmandu only a few weeks ago.
Thank you for your lovely comments about the little cardigan, they are very much appreciated.
Well it is still snowing, Winter has returned but we are nice and snug now. Take care, and see you soon,

Friday Oldie, Logan's Cardigan!
Hello to You All and it's Friday again, where does the week go! Anyway heading in to another weekend and I hope it will be a good one for you. I'm working on Saturday this week, but it goes in quite quickly.
I hope you are all well, but sending out kind thought to those of you who are not so well for a speedy recovery.
Thanks to everyone who visited me and left a comment on my Butterfly card, you are all so kind and encouraging.
I have a little "Oldie" for you, which is a piece of knitting;
A little blazer type cardie for a wee, wee boy, I think Logan was about 2, he is now at school. This was a joy to knit and fairly easy too.
"Oldie for Friday" is a fun way to share your older handmade projects, and it can be anything not just cards. All started by Erika of http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk/

Sring Butterflies!
Good Morning to You All, and how are you today? We have a lovely warm sunny day here, I hope you have too wherever you are.
Thank you so much for all the lovely comments on the star card, most appreciated and I love reading them.
I treated myself to a set of Spectrum Aqua pens, and I think I will need a bit of a practise with them, but here is a card that I made using them;
This is the new stamp from CB for their A Year of Stamping, and it is so lovely to colour.
I decided to use a selection of greens and yellows to give it a Spring look. I used the Spectrum Aqua pens to colour the image and to make the background. Sentiment is also from CB-- and I had stamped it before I realised that I was using butterflies and not flowers, however maybe you can have a bouquet of butterflies too, anything is possible in the crafting world.
Butterfly die from Crafty Individuals and some black ribbon. Black Gems from Papermania, and Butterfly Trails Glitter from Hunkydory.
I thought you might like to see a photo of us on board before the rot set in. Taken by the ships photographer, a bit expensive, but worth it as we don't have many of us both together and this one is rather nice;
taken at the Gala Night with our glad rags on.
That's me for now, enjoy your day and I'll see you soon,

The Big 40!
Hello Blogging Friends, I hope you are well and having a great weekend. I hope you have sunshine wherever you are, we are a bit dull and cool and I just keeping an eye out for rain as I've got the bedding out.
Thanks to everyone who left comments on my last card and especially to Janice as I can't return the visit and to Marie, who I tried to visit, but nothing showed up on my screen, anyway ladies you are both welcome here anytime. I just love reading the comments and once again thanks for all the good wishes regarding our unwellness. We are still not 100%, will we ever be I wonder. both of us are still coughing and feeling breathless, I think I feel better than DH though, it's been a long haul, and I wish I could add a battery to give me more energy.
However I'm finding a bit more oomph to craft and I have a card today that is for one of my clients who has turned the Big 40;
Now I can't take credit for the design, that comes from the Crafter's Companion Demonstrator Claire at yesterday's demo at one of our local craft shops. When I say her sample I thought it was just what I was looking for for this card.
It's a Disire Create a card die, the star design is just perfect, Centura Pearl card, SB embossing folder
CC free sentiment that comes with their latest magazine, Papermania Black gems, and a number peel off.
I needed something that would do a male, I think this fits the bill.
I haven't been to a demo in absolutely ages so I enjoyed what was on offer, especially when Claire demonstrated the new Aqua pens which I've treated myself to, so I'll be trying to colour with those.
Enjoy your Sunday, it's a quite on from now on, we went a nice woodland walk and a spot of lunch, which is great as it means I don't have to cook tonight as a sandwich will do.
Take care All,

Thank you for all the lovely comments on my previous card, and your get well wishes, they all helped me and I am since yesterday turned a corner and feel much better, still very little energy though so going slowly.

http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk/
Just a wee bit of fun sharing what we've made in the past. It doesn't have to be a card, just something handmade.
Made from a Linda Ravenscroft CD, can't remember what it's called and an XCut border and Marianne flourish.
Just a short post today, I hope you all have a super weekend, we are not sure what we will be doing as yet, but we'll think of something, Just hope there is some nice weather.
Take care Everyone and see you soon

A Bit Late, Vintage Christmas Card for CCC!
Good Afternoon, to all my lovely Blogging Friends, I'm finally back.
Thank you for all the good wishes, they were really appreciated, and cheered me up no end, because I've been no end of sorry for myself.
Our fabulous holiday to the Norwegian Fjords turn out to be a disaster health wise for both of us.
I was really seasick on our way over, force 9 gale blowing and my sea legs were just turned to jelly, not to mention my stomach, then the cold/flue virus which had hit both of us a few weeks prior to going away, came back with a vengeance and just to round things off, on the last night I caught a gastric bug, which has stayed with me for over a week. We are both feeling poorly, no appetite, I feel sick at the thought of tea and coffee, so I am strictly on Adam's wine, to get fluids down. I feel as if I've been wrung inside out.No more cruises for us, however the Norwegian Fjords are beautiful, and it was lovely and cold, the snow was wonderful on the mountains.
Anyway, this is the reason I've not been blogging or commenting, I'm now just beginning to feel a bit more like doing it, so I'm sorry to have missed all your lovely creations.
I'm late with Rachel's choice of card for the CCC which is make a Vintage Christmas Card. I really thought I would have to miss this one out, but I've managed this;
I've used Joanna Sheen's Nostalgia CD, which I always forget that I have and it's a lovely CD.
Everything from the CD except for the hessian ans the Liquid pearls and Glamour Dust.
Thank you Rachel for the challenge and I'm glad I could manage it. I hope to get around to see my lovely CCC friend's cards over the next few days. I'm still lacking in energy, so it's a phased return sort to speak.
Oh and before I go, just to mention that for you who have been following me for a while and know that my work situation has been a bit precarious in terms of funding. Well, the NHS who have funded us for years are now pulling the funding and will run the service themselves, so come mid-June we will cease to exist and I will along with my colleagues be redundant. An end of an aera.
Hope to see you soon, thanks for visiting me,
