Hello!

Hello Everyone, and hopefully it's a brilliant sunny day where you are and that you are enjoying whatever you're doing.

Our weather has broken and it's windy and raining off and on, but hey ho, it's just weather and you takes what you gets, it made for a more comfortable night though as it was cooler.

Thank you for all your lovely comment on my last card, I love to read them and so appreciate your time.

Just a little wee card today for Moving Along with the Times Challenge;http://movingalongwiththetimes.blogspot.com/2019/06/100-cas-wendy.html
More stamps from Creative Stamping Magazine, now I've remembered to look at the issue number, 68 and I've worked out it was February the mage was out. The company doesn't date them which irritates me,  anyway the challenge called for a CAS card so I thought this little fish in his bowl would do nicely. I've coloured with Altenew watercolour paints. and apart for his little box of fish food and a sentiment that's all, pretty CAS I think.

We've had a quiet Sunday, just the food shopping and the bed changing...well the linen, wish it could be the bed, unfortunately it's not good enough to get the washing out. Now I'm off to see about dinner, Sweet and Sour Chicken, from scratch, hope it works out, sometimes my Fakeaways are a hit and a miss.

That's me for now, cheerio and see you soon,

Furry Friends!

Hello Everyone, I hope your are all well and enjoying your day. We've had a wonderful hot sunny day....in fact we've had two in a row, marvellous. Just a bit too hot to sit out today, and I got a bit burnt yesterday at the beach. We took a trip to Nairn, and boy was it busy, lots of children which I couldn't work out as the school holidays haven't started yet, anyhow there were lots of nursey  wee ones having a grand time.  We packed some sandwiches and a flask of coffee and finished it off with a cone of ice cream...mine had a flake in it, ooooh I just love them.

Thank you all for the kind comments you left on my last card, I do appreciate every one of them.

Today's card is made using a few stamps from a Creative Stamping magazine that was out a couple of months ago,

No surprise as to who these Furry Friends are..yes it's Milo, Rowan and Cooper, three of my beloved Grandpets. I've coloured them with Prismacolour Pencils and the background with DI. This card will go to Damian or Moreen at some point. I doubt very much that the pets would pose like this, especially Cooper, who is a bit of a loner. It was a fun card to do.

Well Alistair has been up a mountain today and has come back burnt to a crisp. He just fails to realise that sun cream has to go on throughout the day and not just before he leaves the house in the morning, I've been telling him this for 26 years, silly boy.

That's me for now folks, I hope you have a lovely weekend whatever your plans are, take care and see you soon,

Christmas Stockings for theRudolph Challenge!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and that your day has been good.
Mid week already, seems like you blink and you've lost a day. Well it's been a lovely day here, sunshine and heat, a lovely change from the last few days. I believe that in some places in the UK it's baking hot....and what about the Continent..... I couldn't cope with that sort of heat. The experts are saying that it's the way weather is going due to global warming, a bit scary really.

Anyway, thanking you all for the lovely comments on my last card, your comments are always appreciated, that and the time you take to visit my wee blog.

I've got a Christmas card today for the Rudolph Challenge;
Shades of pink and grey for this image of Christmas Stockings after having embossed with silver EP, a freebie from Creative Stamping Magazine and the sentiments are from JND, a simple wee card.

Just a quick post tonight, I'm off to Alistair's fiddle end of term concert, so I'll say cheerio and see you soon,

Thalia!

Hello from a dreich and dark Inverness, it's turned colder too, I've had to put a bit of heating on and going around with a cardie.  Anyway, weather as forecast thankfully without the thunder and lightening.  How is it down your way?

I hope everyone had a good weekend and got done what you wanted to do, I've mostly spent time in my craftroom playing with some new stamps from Pink Ink Designs and I've got a card to show today which I would like to enter into; http://sirstampalotchallenge.blogspot.com/2019/06/june-show-your-true-colours.html

I've coloured this fabulous face with Copic Markers, and DIs and Silver ink and matted it on to some glitter card. All the stamps are from the same set and I've used the smaller ones to make a background on my base card which is 7x7. embellished with a butterfly and flowers from the set, I've added gems, pearls and Stardust.  I've never had a stamp like this before and felt a bit daunted by it as it's quite large, but good old Pinterest came to the rescue.  I'm really quite pleased with how it's turned out and can see a few possibilities for it's use...I hope you like it.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my Christmas card on my last post.

Well, Alistair has just phoned to say he's on the bus coming home....a day early, so I guess he's found things difficult. Both Jim and Alistair are such stubborn men that they fall out, so that could be the reason he's coming home early.....I've not broken the new to Teallach yet lol.

Rightio a coffee and a fruit scone is called for, then into the kitchen to plan an unplanned dinner.

Take care everyone and see you soon,

Christmas Flowers for CCC!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and enjoying your weekend. Teallach and me are enjoying our time just chilling, mind you there's thunder and lightening forecast for Inverness, not here yet though, let's hope the weather folk have got it wrong.

I meant to be here earlier, but I've had a slow start to the morning, but here I am with the Christmas Card Club card for this fortnight and as I'm am the hostess I thought I would choose Christmas Flowers, now I know that we all know of Poinsettias, and Christmas Roses, but you may know of others, but any really are lovely at Christmas. Of course there is always the choice of Anything goes if your inspiration goes walk about or if you haven't got stash to make one with flowers. Here's what I've come up with;
This is a tiny card using a stamp from Justinkedlined, it's part of a larger set, and I've inked it up with blue ink. A freebie sentiment and some blue pearls and WOS.

Stamps from JND to make this little wreath, not easy to photograph with the silver mirri card, sentiment is also from John's set.

The poinsettia stamp is from Papermania, one I've had for ages and still love, the sentiment is from the same set. I've used Prismacolour pencils to colour it, first having embossed in WOW silver EP. the embossed background is from JND and I've added little gem stars to the embossed stars.

Lastly, another poinsettia card and this time it's a lovely Woodware image and Zig watercolour pens for colouring, having first embossed with WOW silver EP, a little bow and some gems.

There we are then, simple wee cards, traditional Christmas Flowers, I'm looking forward to seeing what the other club members create,....remember to have a look and see what they make, they always have gorgeous makes.

Cheerio for now,  and thank you for your lovely comments on my last card, take care of yourselves,

Blue Poppies!

Hello Everyone, hoping all is well with you today and looking forward to the weekend ahead. It will be just me and Teallach as Alistair is off first to Glencoe for a meeting with his climbing club and then down to Glasgow to see Jim and Karen. Puss and I will chill out, peace!

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, you are always so kind.

I've got a card today that I want to enter into ;https://caswatercolour.blogspot.com/2019/06/cas-watercolour-june-challenge.html

Hobby Art's Poppy Field stamp, embossed in white EP and coloured with Altenew watercolours. The thank you is a freebie from Creative Stamping magazine, mounted onto blue card and job done. I really wanted to add a bit of glitter and sequins to this but had to restrain myself.

It's just a short post this time around, so I will love you and leave you and wish you a good weekend whatever your plans, take care of yourselves,

Woodland Walk!

Hello Everyone, hoping you are well, but sending kind thoughts to those who are not so good.

We had a lovely few days away in Dundee, but was a bit disappointed in the V&A museum, there was only one exhibition of any interest, the other one being video games, to me, and of course it was all about Scottish design. I'm afraid Alistair was a bit bored, not his thing. But it was still good to visit, if only to see the building which is quite amazing, I'm not too sure of it, but then it too me years to like the Scottish Parliament building....mind you that was because of the cost of building it. It's always good to get home and back into routine though.

My card today is made using Hobby Art's Woodland Walk stamp set;
Two sweet bunnies coloured with Zig watercolour markers, and the sentiment is from a Stamping Up set. I've used SU green card for the base. It's for a lady who does a lot of charity work.

Here is a photo of Alistair standing beside  Desperate Dan and well known comic book character;

I can't remember whether Desperate Dan is from the Beano or the Dandy, but both comics are creations born in Dundee, the Scots amongst you will certainly know these comics and the much loved characters. Oor Willie is another famous character and there is a statue too, but too much happening around it to get near for a photo.

Thank you so much for all the lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciate all of them.

Well that's me for tonight, thankfully no debates on TV tonight so blood pressure  should be normal and surrounding air not blue. It's just so disparing  and frightening.

Have a good evening and see you soon,

Mermazing!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well, but kind thoughts if you are not so well.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my CCC cards, you are so kind and I do appreciate each and every one of them.

Sitting here with heating back on, and yesterday I wore a scarf and gloves whilst in town....mid June, I ask you! If I remember rightly we were in a heatwave this time last year.

Alistair is away sailing today with friends, no doubt he'll be cold, I suggested he wear his trousers with a fleece lining, of course it fell on deaf ears, just hope he's not too cold.

I've got a whopper of a card today...the stamp is huge;
Always wanted a Merman lol!  Anyway, this one is from Pink Ink Designs and I love it. I smooched Oxides on to my card and then stamped the image. I added Gansi Tambi and Colrio pearl watercolour paints, unfortunately they are not showing up all that well because of the oxides, I'll perhaps not do a background with oxides next time. The little dolphins are from the same set as are the sea plants and sentiment.  I added blue paint splatters and some sequins. Mounted on to blue card and some lovely paper behind it that I got in the 'works, it's all sea world images and colours, and for £3 for a 12x12 pad, there was no point in leaving it on the shelf.
I have no idea who the recipient of this card will be, in fact I don't have an envelop to fit it, perhaps I'll keep it for Alistair's birthday later in the year, he is pretty amazing after all.

We are off to Dundee for a few days, it's my birthday present from Alistair, Dundee??? well the new V&A museum has opened there and we thought it would be a lovely thing to visit as it's supposed to be fab. So a wee break away, to celebrate being 66 ugh!! It's to be hoped the weather improves.

So, I'm entering my card into; http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/2019/06/week-523-fantasy-world.html

That's all from me for now, have a good week and I'll see you soon,

Reindeer for the CCC!

Hello Everyone and I hope your weekend is going well. Quiet weekend for me, a bit of house work and a bit of crafting.

It's time once again for the CCC to show their cards and this time it's Rachel's choice and she wan'ts to see card with Reindeer on them.

Mine are all on a variation on a theme;
I've used this lovely Imagination Crafts stencil called Clearing and I've stencilled through with Oxide inks and then added gold and  Star Dust Stickles, and snow on the ground. Sentiment is a freebie.

Same image but this time in Silver Sparkle Medium from Imagination Crafts, sentiment is a freebie and all matted on to silver mirri card.

Once again the same stencil but I've used Imagination Crafts in Gold, and matted on gold mirri card, same sentiment.  As I said a variation on a theme. I hope they will do Rachel, it was a lovely challenge and really enjoyed it, so thank you so much.

I'm going to schedule this post for tomorrow when the CCC challenge goes live. Please remember to check out what the other members create, there's always fabulous cards.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my last card and the continued good wishes for my BIL Jim.

Off to make some celery soup. Take care and see you soon ,

Dandelion Wishes!

Hello Crafting Friends and Visitors, I hope all is well with you and that the week is going well.

I've got my laptop back, with a brand new hard drive which is must faster, and the latest update for Windows 10, all terrific, but I've spent the last hour trying to find my way around it and attempting to link my tablet to it all in order to transfer the photo of my latest card, I've finally done it, but more by fluke than knowledge. Wish I was more computer savvy.

 Anyway, all this pales into insignificance because Jim, Alistair's brother phoned to tell us that he has had a scan and his cancer has reduced remarkably, and he is obviously so delighted and relieved. He has had no bad side effects either, so it really good new.   Jim will continue with the treatment and have another scan in 6 months time.

My card today is for Jim's daughter Karen who has just landed an new job;
The card is my take on a card make by a Stamping Up lady from the USA called Linda Bedinger who I follow on You Tube.
I've inked on Oxides and then stamped on the lovely images from SU Dandelion Wishes in Gina K black ink then stamped the little wispy bits  in Versamark and embossed with WOW Silver EP.  I've also watermarked the base of the card with Versamark. Edged the coloured panel with silver mirri card. The sentiment is an old one from LOTV with SU silver thread looped behind it and finished off with a few gems and sequins.
I hope Karen will like it. She was so excited when she phoned the other night to tell us, although it's in the same company, she's been poached by the head of another department and this new position is a huge step up. She has been amazing how she has coped the last few months, and deserves the break.

My hubby is away walking through the hills for a few days and the weather is a bit iffy, but he decided to go nevertheless, so it's a time of peace and quite for Puss and me.

Thank you all so much for your continued visits and lovely comments, I do appreciate every one of them, take care and see you soon,
