Mermazing!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well, but kind thoughts if you are not so well.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my CCC cards, you are so kind and I do appreciate each and every one of them.

Sitting here with heating back on, and yesterday I wore a scarf and gloves whilst in town....mid June, I ask you! If I remember rightly we were in a heatwave this time last year.

Alistair is away sailing today with friends, no doubt he'll be cold, I suggested he wear his trousers with a fleece lining, of course it fell on deaf ears, just hope he's not too cold.

I've got a whopper of a card today...the stamp is huge;
Always wanted a Merman lol!  Anyway, this one is from Pink Ink Designs and I love it. I smooched Oxides on to my card and then stamped the image. I added Gansi Tambi and Colrio pearl watercolour paints, unfortunately they are not showing up all that well because of the oxides, I'll perhaps not do a background with oxides next time. The little dolphins are from the same set as are the sea plants and sentiment.  I added blue paint splatters and some sequins. Mounted on to blue card and some lovely paper behind it that I got in the 'works, it's all sea world images and colours, and for £3 for a 12x12 pad, there was no point in leaving it on the shelf.
I have no idea who the recipient of this card will be, in fact I don't have an envelop to fit it, perhaps I'll keep it for Alistair's birthday later in the year, he is pretty amazing after all.

We are off to Dundee for a few days, it's my birthday present from Alistair, Dundee??? well the new V&A museum has opened there and we thought it would be a lovely thing to visit as it's supposed to be fab. So a wee break away, to celebrate being 66 ugh!! It's to be hoped the weather improves.

So, I'm entering my card into; http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/2019/06/week-523-fantasy-world.html

That's all from me for now, have a good week and I'll see you soon,

Fancy you always wanting a Merman Kate, if the weather carries on as it is, they'll be swimming in the streets lol! ;) A fabulous card and I adore your inky background. I love The Works for crafty bits and I've had some fabulous dies from there at great prices. My heating's also on and salads are off the menu again. Enjoy yourself in Dundee x

And your card is, as always, amazing! If you keep it for your husband, I am sure he will love it. Great colour combinations and I love the added splatters and sequins.

You are right, I never see a Merman and I love your card especially the background. And the way your encircled the Merman with the seaweed and the dolphins. Ahh, envelopes, I know what you mean and it’s so hard to find some sizes.

OH! my goodness, this is just fabulous, I love your background and the Merman! is just incredible. I love how you have put this altogether, gorgeous mix of colours and your colouring is so beautiful.

We are experiencing the cold, but thankfully not so much of the rain, that the weatherman says you have been having. We've succumbed to putting the heating on most nights this week. Your right, this time last year we were in a heatwave! Flaming June ay?

Wow! Mermazing is RIGHT! Kate, this is beyond incredible, and so full of life. I especially like the "frame" you created with stamped foliage, and the dolphins surrounding the merman. Beautifully done - and yes, I'd definitely call it a "whopper of a card", too! LOL hugs, de

It's quite cold down here, very wet as well but I have resisted turning the heating back on!

Hi Kate,
that is such a very gorgeous card and your work looks excellently created.
Love your beautifu inking and that stamp os fantastic.
Wish I could just pop the heating back on but mine takes 24 hours to warm up and by that time it may warm up so the electic is wasted.
I have been sitting with a blanket around me instead, except for when I'm blogging.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
