Woodland Walk!

Hello Everyone, hoping you are well, but sending kind thoughts to those who are not so good.

We had a lovely few days away in Dundee, but was a bit disappointed in the V&A museum, there was only one exhibition of any interest, the other one being video games, to me, and of course it was all about Scottish design. I'm afraid Alistair was a bit bored, not his thing. But it was still good to visit, if only to see the building which is quite amazing, I'm not too sure of it, but then it too me years to like the Scottish Parliament building....mind you that was because of the cost of building it. It's always good to get home and back into routine though.

My card today is made using Hobby Art's Woodland Walk stamp set;
Two sweet bunnies coloured with Zig watercolour markers, and the sentiment is from a Stamping Up set. I've used SU green card for the base. It's for a lady who does a lot of charity work.

Here is a photo of Alistair standing beside  Desperate Dan and well known comic book character;

I can't remember whether Desperate Dan is from the Beano or the Dandy, but both comics are creations born in Dundee, the Scots amongst you will certainly know these comics and the much loved characters. Oor Willie is another famous character and there is a statue too, but too much happening around it to get near for a photo.

Thank you so much for all the lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciate all of them.

Well that's me for tonight, thankfully no debates on TV tonight so blood pressure  should be normal and surrounding air not blue. It's just so disparing  and frightening.

Have a good evening and see you soon,

An adorable card Kate, love the rabbits. We were disappointed with the V&A, we were there in April, not a lot to look at too many empty spaced. Hope you enjoyed your break. Marlene

Hi there Kate, so pleased you enjoyed your break in Dundee, reading your blog brought memories of my childhood flooding back. I loved to stay with my Aunt and Uncle, especially since my cousin Fred had many
Beano and Dandy annuals, I just loved reading them. I know I should know which comic Desperate Dan was in lol, but hey, it was a long time ago lol! I think it was The Dandy. Loving you cute card, a lovely image and a lovely sentiment. Love the photo of Alistair. Enjoy the rest of your week.
Love & Hugs Jennifer xx.

Sweet card Kate.
Sad about the museum but video games would not be my thing either, xx

Super card, Kate, I love the bunnies and your colouring is fab too. That's a shame that the V&A was a bit disappointing - the building is so impressive but perhaps the size is a bit overwhelming in size. I have much the same photo of Alan and the Desperate one too. Those comic characters are so much part of our childhoods. I'm doing my best to avoid the news because I'm fast turning into a very angry old woman. It's been an evening of watching recordings - do much safer. Hugs, Elizabeth xx

It's a shame the museum wasn't as interesting as you thought it might be Kate, but glad that you enjoyed your few days away, and a lovely photo of Alistair with Desparate Dan. I had no idea that The Beano and Dandy started in Dundee. I adore your sweet bunnies in their woodland scene which you have coloured beautifully, and a great sentiment too. x

Thank you for the trip round Dundee Kate, afraid it's somewhere I've never been so one for the list I guess. Smiled at your last paragraph, that's rather like me when Liverpool are playing, sad for a lady but there you go.

Love your Bunnies sitting under the tree and what a lovely sentiment, so true.

I love your sweet card and the colouring of the whole card is excellent! The tree roots and the sky plus the cute bunnies. Your friend will love it. Video Games..in a museum? You get to look at pong? That would be a big pass for me. Whoever is the director of this museum must be young or thinking this will make the young come to the museum. I don't know the cartoon characters but I like the picture

Oh, shame about the V&A. I didn't know the comics where from Scotland. There you go. Learn something new every day. Yep, still shouting at the TV. Forget the debates. Now shouting at any program even the adverts!!! lol! Fabulous pic of Alistair. Gorgeous card Kate. Love the bunnies.
Hugs Flo xx

OH! I LOVE your bunnies, beautiful colouring, it's like you took a picture when you saw them sitting there. Great photo of hubby. Wasn't it The Beano that Desperate Dan was in? I agree about the TV debates etc, it's come to a stage of changing channels now!
