No Prob-llama!

 Hello Friends and Visitors, how are you all, doing well I hope and coping with this further spike in the virus. It seems it's not going away anytime soon. I'm hoping that the Highlands are going to be in tier 1, we will hear tomorrow whats what. If indeed we go down to tier 1 it will mean that we can visit Moreen and Damian in their home and vice versa, I do miss the doggies, and I don't see Moreen that much, Damian pops over for a doorstep visit which is great, I'm looking forward to the day when I can give him a hug, but I know I'm not alone in that feeling.

We had a lovely walk along Rosemarkie beach this morning and ended with a hot chocolate and shared a tasty fruit scone with butter and jam.....we know how to live!!, we sat outside at the eatery and looked at the sea, mind you it was pretty chilly, temp was 6 degrees, we were hardy though lol.

So on to my card;

 I was kinda stumped as to what to do for my friends Grandson this year, he will be 17 on his birthday, and I'm not all that sure what he is into these days, anyhoo, i remembered these fabulous stamps from an edition of Creative Stamping the other year and decided to use this super llama image.

I've created the background with DI and a cloud stencil and gave it a splatter with water, then as you can see added the leaves and grasses around the edges. The llama I stamped with two shades of brown  and fussy cut him out and attached with foam tape to raise him a bit. Mounted on to rose gold mirror card and job done. It's turned out quite well I think, I hope he likes it.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on mt last cards and a warm welcome to Lynne who is my latest Follower, unfortunately, Lynne commented on my last post and I accidently deleted it, I was using my phone and got a bit confused.com, so sorry Lynn, but I did manage to read it before I deleted it. Does anyone else find they are more confused by things these days, for example I never know what day of the week it is without having to lift my diary, is it an aged thing or a covid one???

That's all from me just now, I hope your week is going well, keep safe and see you soon,

Snowman/Snowmen for the CCC!

 Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and enjoying the weekend. It's been a wild day here in Inverness, high winds and rain, just the kind of day to stay indoors.

We have been giving the bathroom a freshen up, well Alistair has, I've been   the cleaner uper, but he says never again, he's getting too old, all the up and down the ladders and bending was getting to him. Because he is fit and still walks up mountains I forget he will be 75 in a couple of weeks, so yes next time we will get a decorator in. Good job it's a small room, but it's looking good now.

So, it's the fortnightly Christmas Card Club Challenge... they come around far too quickly, and this time it's our lovely Margaret who has chosen the theme of Snowman/Snowmen, or of course if you can't manage the theme there is always Anything Goes.  Well I love Snowmen so this was easy for me and made three cards;

 This wee cutie is a LOTV digital stamp and coloured with Prismacolours and lots of Star Dust Stickles. Sentiment is a very old LOTV stamp set, finished off with some little gems.

Another Digital from LOTV and coloured again with Prismacolour pencils, mounted on to black glitter card and then more LOTV paper from ages ago. I used DI in the background and added some gems. The sentiment is from Creative Stamping magazine. Sorry about the brightness of the photo, I think I've over done it.

Once again the phot is pants. I've made this card for my friend Fiona, I make her The Snowman card every year as she love him.....well who doesn't. This is from a very old Crafters Companion/Hunkydory  set, I can't think now how old it is, but it's lasting a good old while. I've made the base card from acetate with snow splatters, and added the snowman image inside it. A piece or purple glitter card along the bottom edge with the sentiment. I photographed it on black card which was a mistake as it makes the card look black but it isn't, three little gems in the bottom corner.

Thank you Margaret for the lovely challenge, I did enjoy it.

Thank you too for all the lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciate your visits and encouraging comments.

So that's me for now, I'll be scheduling my post for tomorrow, Sunday when the CCC goes live. Take care of yourselves and keep safe,

Merry and Bright Gnomes!

 Hello Everyone, been a wee while since I last posted here, so I hope you are all keeping well and coping with whatever tier you are in. It's getting more confusing by the day I feel, and it looks like our First Minister is going to follow by announcing Scotland going the same way. I believe it's a mistake, as it's like a sticking plaster, nobody seems to be following the scientists, and the economy is more important than lives. Of course folks are in fear of their jobs, houses and there is already so much poverty, just such a desperate situation for a great many people. It's heartbreaking, but that's capitalism for you, we need a more socialist society, where everyone gets a good bite of the cherry, that's my philosophy anyway.

So, I've got a slimline card today as I treated myself to a new die and stamp set;

  The cute gnomes are by Whimsy Stamps and the window die is too. I saw them used to make a card on Faye's blog which you can visit her here, her blog is fabulous and she is a fantastic colourist too, anyhoo, I thought I've got to have these wee guys so here they are. I've coloured them with Copic markers and fussy cut them out. I've used Card-io stamps for the trees, with a DI background, loads of star dust Stickles and glossy  accents on the gnomes boots. The sentiment is from the same set. My colouring isn't great, I've forgotten how to use the Copics, it's been so long since I used them.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last post, as always you are so kind and I welcome them and your encouragement.

Well it's a week of injection for me, I had my flu jab on Monday and my arm is still sore and on Friday I have my Vitamin B12 injection, and on Saturday  it's the turn of my Teallach for his boosters.....that'll be a laugh..not, but needs must and it doesn't matter how much I sneak up on him he just seems to know that it's time for the vet. Mind you, I don't like injections myself, well who does, and you'd think that for someone who injects 4 times a day with insulin that I wouldn't mind all that much, but I do. For comfort I tell myself that I'm lucky to have these injections as so many in the world don't have acces to good health care.

That's me for now, steak pie for dinner tonight, mash, carrots and buttered cabbage, really looking forward to it.  Take care of yourselves and keep safe.

Peace, Love , Joy!

 Hello to You All, I hope things are going well for you and that you are coping with the new restrictions, awfully confusing aren't they! Anyhoo I hope you are keeping well and of course safe.

Just a short post today to enter https://www.fezziwigsfestivefrolics.com/2020/10/fezziwig-says-textures.html

I've used am Imagination Craft stencil and Sparkle medium, mounted on to some glitter card.

A very simple card, I felt it didn't need any embellishment as the lovely Sparkle Medium says it all.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my CCC cards, as always I appreciate each and every comment.

That's me for now, take care and see you soon,

Santa for the CCC!

 Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and that life is treating you good.

It's the weekend again and also the week that the Christmas Card Club ladies show their latest cards. This time it's me who does the choosing of the theme and I've chosen Santa, but Anything Goes if that's not possible.

My first two cards are recycled from cards I've kept from over the last couple of years;

I've added glitter and gems to the cards, I love the picture on the second card.

These two cards are quite humorous, and from a set by Crafter Companion bought years ago. It's the Raymond Briggs Santa. The set came along with The Snowman. Again I just added glitter and gems.

I've gone back to this lovely Enchanted Christmas range for this Santa with this lovely topper and the beautiful vellum in the background. There is quite a bit of texture on both the topper and the vellum but doesn't show up will in the photograph. I've added a few gems too.

Well, that's it, I hope you like them, I had fun making them, so I hope the CCC girls do to, and remember to have a look at their creations as they always come with fabulous designs.

Before I go, I just wan to say thank you so much for your lovely comments on my last post, it's very much appreciated.

Enjoy your weekend and take care of yourselves and stay safe,

Nightfall Florals!

 Hello Everyone, I hope  you are well and that all is good with you today.

Managed a good walk this morning before the rain set in, but I am whacked. Lots of little inclines to walk up, Alistair assured me that the walk was not hilly, why oh why after all these years do I believe him?? Of course what is mountainous to me is a wee blip on the land to him. Anyhoo, it was lovely and took us well up to have a fabulous view over the Moray Firth to The Black Isle and part of Inverness.

Thank you for all the lovely comments on my last post, and for continuing to visit me, I do appreciate your time.

It's a completed page this time;

 All coloured with Black Widow Pencils, and I've used Stickles for a bit of sparkle and the splatters are perfect Pearls, and the pages is from;

This is my third page from this lovely book, and the pages have all been coloured with pencils so far, I'm thinking though that I might try other mediums as the paper is thick enough to take some water, it would make colouring faster.

That's me for now, just a quick post with no ranting lol, so keep yourselves safe and I'll see you soon,

Dudley in a Fankle!

 Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and that life is going okay for you.

Isn't life interesting in the Global sense of things, sadly the virus is on the rise again everywhere, Brexit is gaining pace, but how no one is telling the citizens how, the EU are taking the UK to court over the disregard of the Internal Market Bill, people who should know better flouting the covid rule, and I'm talking here about politician, and in one case a father of one of them, worst was the SNP minister who really topped them all, even by that debacle of Mr. Cummings earlier in the year, and took a train to London from Scotland, gave her speech in Parliament and then returned home, knowing that she had the virus, honestly, you couldn't make it up. Now it seems the American President has covid. And, this is all on top of the awful fires happening in America just now. It seems to me that life is harsh enough from natural disasters, without the stupidity of the Humans, but there you go, that's just my take on things at the moment......but I have to wonder what's coming next!

A while since I've posted anything, about a week I think. I'm not really making cards just now, more taken up with the colouring book thing, but I have a couple of cards I made away back at the beginning of the lockdown for friends, which were hugely appropriate at the time;

This cute guy is Dudley and he's from Whimsey Stamps, and he's a digital one. They are both coloured with Copic markers, and the first card has a Gina K stencil in the background, and I can't remember which brand the second card has.

It's to be hoped that we never get to the stage of shelves empty of toilet paper again, but who knows what shortages there will be after this year, which will not just be toilet paper.

It's a right old dreich day here after such a lovely day yesterday, been raining all night and still is, and the house feels like it's a cave, I'm still hoping to get out for a walk.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last CCC post, I've never gotten so many comments before, I very much appreciate the,.

Enjoy your weekend, whatever you've planned, and keep yourselves safe,
