Merry and Bright Gnomes!

Hello Everyone, been a wee while since I last posted here, so I hope you are all keeping well and coping with whatever tier you are in. It's getting more confusing by the day I feel, and it looks like our First Minister is going to follow by announcing Scotland going the same way. I believe it's a mistake, as it's like a sticking plaster, nobody seems to be following the scientists, and the economy is more important than lives. Of course folks are in fear of their jobs, houses and there is already so much poverty, just such a desperate situation for a great many people. It's heartbreaking, but that's capitalism for you, we need a more socialist society, where everyone gets a good bite of the cherry, that's my philosophy anyway.

So, I've got a slimline card today as I treated myself to a new die and stamp set;

The cute gnomes are by Whimsy Stamps and the window die is too. I saw them used to make a card on Faye's blog which you can visit her here, her blog is fabulous and she is a fantastic colourist too, anyhoo, I thought I've got to have these wee guys so here they are. I've coloured them with Copic markers and fussy cut them out. I've used Card-io stamps for the trees, with a DI background, loads of star dust Stickles and glossy  accents on the gnomes boots. The sentiment is from the same set. My colouring isn't great, I've forgotten how to use the Copics, it's been so long since I used them.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last post, as always you are so kind and I welcome them and your encouragement.

Well it's a week of injection for me, I had my flu jab on Monday and my arm is still sore and on Friday I have my Vitamin B12 injection, and on Saturday  it's the turn of my Teallach for his boosters.....that'll be a laugh..not, but needs must and it doesn't matter how much I sneak up on him he just seems to know that it's time for the vet. Mind you, I don't like injections myself, well who does, and you'd think that for someone who injects 4 times a day with insulin that I wouldn't mind all that much, but I do. For comfort I tell myself that I'm lucky to have these injections as so many in the world don't have acces to good health care.

That's me for now, steak pie for dinner tonight, mash, carrots and buttered cabbage, really looking forward to it.  Take care of yourselves and keep safe.

Pandemic is a bluff, a lot of important doctors in all the world are saying this. Positive doesn't mean sick and doesn't spread the virus around. Tampons aren't affordable, but as we make million of them, there are a lot of positives. This virus is a flu and now there are medicines to use. But Big Pharma wanted sell vaccines even if they aren't sure for our health and could be very dangerous for us...
But all the media are corrupt with big pharma and with governments and wash our heads with psycho-terrorism with their false notices and big numbers.
The fool restrictions in all the globe are increasing. These restrictions are against democracy, against people, against work, against sane brains! A small number of too much rich persons are being more and more rich, while all the other people will die for having not food to eat, not money, not access to hospitals for their other pathologies... etc. And I could continue. In Italy all is collapsing. But nobody want hear. Brains are too scared by media and governments. For fear to die, people forgot life. How insane. Sigh.
Please, continue to take care of your brain and waste TV and dangerous media. They are on hands of the bad capitalists that say us what we have to think ;)
Your gnomes looks just adorable on lilac colour!! Great design, too! It's a sweet and cute slimline card!
Hugs

I haven't any idea where we are with the virus restrictions it seems to change all the time. Each state here seems to be doing their own thing.

What a fabulous Winter Scene and absolutely adorable card Kate x. That window die looks wonderful and great fussy cutting too x. Yes it does seem strange with you having to inject four times a day that you don't like injections but it goes to show that you never get used to them x. I found after the flu injection that my arm hurt for days too Kate x. Steak pie is one of our favourite meals this end x.

This is such a cute card, lively colours. I have my first ever flu jab today, not looking forward to it, hate injections. I see Scotland is going to have five tiers, how confusing will that be for people. Three is enough. Stay safe x

Beautiful card, I love your Gnomes
I had my flu jab a few weeks ago, I have been having them for years and for once the arm did not hurt as much, hubby had his first one this year.
I am not sure about your five tiers, we are in the one of the safer parts of England, hoping he does not do a lockdown, Its Bristol and Bath universities that are putting the rate up here in the West country
Stay safe and well

Anyone who can manage to make Christmas cards before December has my admiration, Kate! I start each year with the best intentions but never seem to be organised in time to avoid a mad rush to get mine finished at the last minute. Your gnome card is simply adorable, and guaranteed to make anyone smile!

Thank you very much for your lovely comments on my blog. I'm in Dumfriesshire, and like you, I love where I live. The scenery here isn't as dramatic as in the Highlands, but it's beautiful nevertheless. My craft room window looks right out over the valley and the view is a constant source of inspiration. Glad to have you as a follower, and I'm very happy to reciprocate. Stay safe,
Lynne x
