Foraging Fairies!

Good Evening Everyone, I hope you've had a good day and managed to do something you like doing. I made two pots of soup and got some knitting done. Alistair was away for a wee sail in Loch Ness, he said the loch was pretty choppy though. rather him than me.

I have a card, yes, another Lavinia one, it's a birthday card for Alistair's Neice,

Stamps, stencil and Elements ink all by Lavinia stamps. Card edged with a silver Sharpie pen, gel pend and glitter. I've used a couple of toadstool stamps on the envelope. It's my first outing of my new gel press, which is also from Lavinia. I feel I need a bit more practice with it.

Karen doesn't look at my blog so I should be safe enough posting her card.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, you are very kind.

That's me for now, take care of yourselves and see you soon,

Christmas Trees for the CCC!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend.

Another two weeks has rolled by and it's time once again for the Christmas Card Club to show their latest creations.  This time it's Zoe who has chosen the theme and it's Christmas Trees. Here's what I've managed;

I've used a Sweet Poppy Stencil and created a little scene inside it with a stamp from a magazine. Distressed Oxides used to colour the stencil. The stage is from Card-io stamps and the sentiment from Besotted stamps, lots of glitter and a silver Sharpie pen around the edges of the card.

The stencil is a new buy and I think it will be get lots of use.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card.

Look out for the other CCC ladies' cards, they are always beautiful.

That's me for now, take care,

Tiny Mushroom Houses!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all doing well, and life is good for you.

Well, we here in the Scottish Highlands can really feel that Autumn has really set in. First morning of my cosy knitted socks and a warm jacket.  I've almost been tempted to put on some heating but managed to resist, wearing my big outdoor fleece. Yes, it's colder indoors than out. I really don't know how folks are going to manage this year, and most likely next. We most definitely need a revolution. Of course if we had still been in the EU we could have benefited by the windfall tax on energy companies that the EU commission has proposed, setting mandatory threshold for prices charged by companies, and profits shared out to those who need it most.   Ah well, we had out chance and it was blown away,

Rant over!

So, today's card is this,

Tiny Mushroom Houses from Chocolate Baroque coloured with watercolours. Sentiment comes with the stamp set. Posca pen and some sparkle.

Thanks to all who have been leaving me comments, I do appreciate them all. I am however wondering where quite a few of my usual followers have disappeared to, there seems to be less and less with every post I put up. I hope that people are well and that it's other interests that are taking up their time.

That's me for now, enjoy the remainder of your day and see you soon, take care of yourselves,

We'll Miss You!

Hello Everyone, I hope your weekend is going well. We've had a gorgeous day of sunshine, so took ourselves off to have a walk along the canal finishing at the Jammy Piece for a cuppa and a piece of Victoria Sponge, yummy. The housework got left to be caught up with another day.

I have a card requested by my Son for a work colleague who is leaving the company,

Once again, a combination of stamps from Lavinia and SU. Stencil is one of Lavinia's and coloured with Elements ink. Sentiment is from a magazine a while back. Damian thought it looked good, let's hope the recipient does too.

Thanks to all who commented on my last card, I do appreciate all your kind words.

That's me for now, keep well and hope to see you soon,

Just for You!

Hello to You All, I hope your week's got off to a good start and that you enjoyed your weekend. We were quiet this weekend, well I was anyway, Alistair helped a friend sail his boat up from Fort Augustus on Saturday, as they had to abandon it there on the Friday as it was too rough to sail in the Loch Ness. It was good to have  a few hours to myself.

Sun is shining now after raining all afternoon. I had washing out and it's wetter than it was when I first put it out, Grrrrr!

I have another fairy card for you,

The fairy is from Chocolate Baroque and everything else is Lavinia Stamps, including the verse in the background and the sentiment. DO for colour. The sweet little mice are from the Basil and Bibi set.... not sure which is which.

Thank you for the lovely comment on my last card, you are all so kind and I appreciate every one of them.

Off now to see about making the dinner, spaghetti carbonara I think, fairly easy to cobble together. Have a good evening and see you soon,

Use Kraft Card for the CCC!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend.

We've been away for a wee break, last week. We went to Gairloch where friends have a B&B, and had a great time. Fortunately, they had no guests in so were free to spend time with us. It's been a while since we last saw them, 2028 in fact, so there was plenty of news to catchup on. It's certainly the first time we have been out anywhere since Covid. Anyhoo, we took the good weather with us as Isabelle was saying that they had really poor wet and windy weather.

So, I decided to leave Blogland behind for a few days and just chill out.

Anyhoo, it's that time again for the Christmas Card Club girls to show their latest creations. Valery Ann chose the theme of using kraft Card, here's what I I came up with,

I stamped straight on to the kraft blank card and used a mixture of Card-io and Lavinia Stamps. glitter, posca pen in white, Lots of white gel pen and glitter. White gel pen and a sentiment from Clearly Besotted. Thank you, Valery, for the challenge I really enjoyed it

Well, that's me for now, I'll get around to visiting your blogs soon...honestly, I will. Who would have thought that enjoying oneself could be so tiring. Cheerio for now and look out for the other CCC girl's cards, shedualled to go live tomorrow at 8 am
