Vintage Wine!

Hello Friends and all who pop in to see me, you are all very welcome and thank you for the lovely comments left on my last  card, you are all very kind.

It's my son's birthday today, I can hardly believe is is now 44, where has the time gone, it seems no time since he was brand new. If only I could have slowed time down. Anyhow here is the card I made for him;
Damian is very fond of cheese and wine, so this image from Just inklined was just the ticket and it's coloured with Prismacolour Pencils with a touch of WOS, although it doesn't show up.
SB Decorative Circles and DI.

He and Moreen popped in on the way back from a day watching the Husky racing in Aviemore, and are have a birthday Indian Takeaway tonight. Damian does low key birthdays.

Alistair and I are going to see the Huskies after our walk tomorrow. I think rain is forecast though, but we'll just go for it.

This is just a quick post tonight, enjoy your weekend whatever you're doing, cheerio for now.

Sail Away "Oldie for Friday"!

Hello Everyone, and welcome to another "Oldie for Friday", started by Erika of Snappy Crafts last year. We want to see your creations that you've made back in the day when you began crafting, it does'nt have to be a card, just anything you've crafted, although saying that photos have been posted too by some folk me included.
I know that this is from a CD but can't remember which one, but it was made for an elderly man's birthday who loves ships.

Thank you so much on your comments on my last card and photos of the baby seal, I thought you would like those.
I would like to welcom my latest Follower, Darnell. Delighted to include you in my little band of Friends, I hope you are able to pop in often and enjoy what's on offer.

Well it is still bitterly cold here, but the days are sunny and bright and no more snow for the time being, if the weather is good at the weekend we're off down to Aviemore for a walk around Loch Morlich.  I'm enjoying my weekend walks and hope to be able to keep them up.
Just tomorrow to work then off for a few days, always look forward to those, especially this weekend as it is Damian's birthday. I'm still trying to think what to give him as a present!

Anyway folks that's me for tonight, so take care and keep warm and safe,

Song Bird and a Cute Fur Baby!

Hi to Everyone! How are you all today? Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my CCC card, very kind and encouraging, make it all worth while.

  Boy was it cold last night, in fact all day, but it comes to something when I had to wear my thermal underwear under my clothes and a scarf around my neck when in the house, and the heating on.  I wonder what we'll do when it gets cold, ha ha!

It was a gorgeous day though, the sun was shining and for a lot of the time the sky was blue, but bitterly cold.  We had planned a walk,  for yesterday, I'm trying to overcome my aversion to exercise and make an effort to get out more. I really could become a recluse given the chance.  Anyway, Alistair is delighted as he loves walking. I don't to hills though, a flat walk I can manage.  We decided to go to Findhorn Bay, it's a lovely drive there, and not too far from Inverness.  We had lunch out to save rushing back to make an evening meal so the day was ours. Made a flask of coffee for when we got back to the car and set off.  It was beyond cold with a wind blowing that felt as it it was lacerating my face, I was cosy everywhere else though, but we only managed about 20 minutes, actually Alistair seemed to feel the cold more than me.  I was hoping to see some seals, which I did but through the binoculars unlike Hubby on a walk before Christmas when he saw this little guy, sorry picture heavy here, but the Aw factor is worth it;

Isn't he so gorgeous, the baby seal I mean. Alistair and his friend found him on the beach, thinking he was dead they went over to investigate, but he wasn't dead, just having a wee sleep. Alistair approached him very carefully, and don't worry he didn't touch him, but the wee thing was so curious and not the least afraid.  Alistair then noticed the adult seals out in the water keeping an on the baby.
I think these are just brilliant photos and can't think why humans want to kill them.  However, I just to be content to see them through the bins.

Now I really do have a card;
I've used a gorgeous CB stamp from the Pretty Bird Cage Set and followed the colours of the challenge, focusing on the lilac shade.
I've also used the beautiful free paper from CB.
Sue Wilson's border die, which I have to say was a b...er to cut out.
Liquid pearls.
I didn't want to add much as I wanted the stamp to be the focus of the card.
I've added little Wink of Stella, but it doesn't show up.

I'm sorry this has been such a long post, but I really wanted to show these photos.

That's me for today, off to put on Game of Thrones whilst I'm ironing, oh the joys of days off.
Have a lovely day whatever you're doing and I hope you enjoyed my post today

CCC and The Real Meaning of Christmas!

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all enjoying the weekend so far.
It's time for us to share another Christmas card for the Friendly Christmas Card Club and this time around the choice of challenge comes from our very own Christine, and wants to see cards made reflecting "The Real Meaning of Christmas".

Now being a Huminist, I found this a wee bit difficult, but my card reflects what I think should be what we should all be striving for, whatever our belief;

Imagination Crafts Stencil and Sparkle Medium in Silver, Gilded Winter First Edition paper, Bow and Gems from my box.

Thank you for the challenge Christine, it made me use this lovely stencil at last, and also the gorgeous sparkly stuff.

That's all from me just now except to say a thank you for all the lovely comments on my last card, you are all so very encouraging,
I would like to enter my card into the following challenge;

Floral Kitty "Friday Oldie"

Hello to you All, I hope everyone is well and managing to keep safe and cosy in this Winter weather.
We have had more snow today, and it is lying. Yesterday was a horrendous day with lashing rain which washed most of the snow away, so this was a wee bit of a shock.

I'm here today with another "Oldie" to join in with Erika from Snappy Crafts and some other Blogging Friends to show something made from an earlier time in our crafting career. It doesn't have to be a card, just something crafty that you've made.
Coloured with Promarkers in some of my favourite colours, Hunkydory stamp and SB embossing folder for background. Other bits and pieces I'm not too sure of.

I'm running short of "Oldies" as I've not really been make cards for all that long and  in the beginning I never thought to photograph them, however I've made it for this week.

Thanks to everyone who visited and left a comment on my previous card, I do appreciate them.

Enjoy the rest of your day and as we are heading into the weekend, have a good one and I'll see you on Sunday with the CCC card,

Happy Birthday Jake!

Good Evening to all my Blogging Friends and Visitors, I hope everyone is well, but if you're not, I wish you a speedy recovery.

Thank you one and all who kindly left comments on my last card, I do appreciate each of them and the time you take to visit. Everyone is busy and I know it take a bit of time to visit the blogs.

Well, we have snow, quite a bit in fact with more to come. lovely to look at, but not go out in. I went into the work today, even although it was one of my days off, as our area manager was having a staff meeting about all the changes that will be happening soon and I felt it important to be there. I left much earlier to get the bus just in case it was late arriving, I hate being late for things. well it was 40 minutes late, but it wasn't the bus I went out for, it was the one before that, nevertheless, I was pleased to see it.
 However, the meeting didn't inform us with any more information than we had, all a bit frustrating and a waste of valuable time.  I'm not too concerned about things as I've only around two years to go, but my colleagues all have a long way to go before they can retire and they don't feel secure in their jobs.  Hopefully we will hear positive news soon.

My card tonight is one that my friend Karen commissioned for her son's birthday;
I've used an image form Mo's Digital Pencil and SN to colour it
LOTV Papers
Xcut Star Dies
Tattered Lace Alphabet Die
blue card
White cord
Wink of Stella in Clear

Well it was Jake's birthday today so hope he liked it.

I'm off to make a cuppa, so I will love you and leave you and hope to see you soon,

Thinking of You! and Teallach!

Good Evening Friends and anyone visiting, I hope you are all keeping safe and warm in this awful weather. It was much calmer here throughout the night, but there was quite a bit of rain. Teallach had  another night in, only thing about that is that he decided he wanted some company at the back of 5am, so I was up to see what he wanted, food, didn't want out so back to bed I go. Half an hour later up he comes again, scratching the glass in the door, this is his signal that something is wanted. Off down the stairs again to let him out, he wasn't too keen and needed a gentle push. Here is the boy in question;

 There you go Ang, up to date photos of my boy.

We had a lovely walk today, yep I go walking in not good weather, anyway it felt good to do even although it snowed at bit.  It made coming home so good and we battened down the hatches.

Thank you all so much for your kind comments on my last card, you are all so supportive.
Here is today's card;
This is a card I made for a friend who wasn't too well after having an accident. Rather simple as it is all Hunkydory from one of their kits.  I have lots of their kits, bought when I first started out and don't really use that much now, but sometimes they do the trick. Pearls from Hobby House and Ribbon from my box.

So that is me for tonight, I hope you all have a peaceful night from the weather, and if you've lost your power, that you find a way to stay warm and hopefully it will be back soon.

Kitty in a Shoe "Oldie for Friday"!

Good Afternoon to Everyone and Welcome.
I hope the strong winds haven't caused you much damage, what a night it was here with very heavy rain too. There was no way Teallach was venturing out last night it was that bad.  Dustbins blown everywhere, fences and gates down, trash all over the street. Damian had a trampoline blown into his garden and the rail track behind his house had a shed lying across it, not his thankfully, which had to be dismantled, so services were delayed.  Alistair and I went into town and there had been quite a bit of damage to chimney pots and other kinds of structural damage.  I hope it's blown it's self out now.

Thank you so much for your visit and comments on my last card, it's very much appreciated.I've looked out another oldie to play along with Erika of Snappy Crafts and a few others.

This card was made for a friend's birthday a few years ago;
I think the image is one by Crafter's Companion, coloured very poorly in Promarkers.  I hope my colouring has improved since then.  Anyway my friend liked it and that's what matters.

Well that is me off work until next Thursday, so a nice long break, and if the weather is decent we will go away for the day and have a walk.

I hope everyone is well, and looking forward to the weekend.  Take care of yourselves,

Gift Bag!

Hello Friends and Visitors, welcome to my Blog and I hope you will like what you see here.
Thank you to everyone who commented on my last card, you are very kind and I welcome each comment.
I hope you are well, although there loads of visruses going around and no one seems to  escaping them, except me at the moment. But if you are poorly I hope you will feel better soon.
Of Course we started the New Year with some very sad news about Rachel and her two little girls loosing their beloved husband and dad, I'm sure they are in everyone's thoughts that they will get through this very difficult time.

Well this is just a short post as I'm off to work soon, and I thought I'd better post something, however I have not much in my folder other than Christmas cards. I have been making cards for people who want them, but I can't post them yet, but here is something that was for Christmas but not a card;
Hazel from Basket's of Joy, very kindly brought when she visited me, some of these bags already cut out, I must try and get the die, it's a Xcut one. Now Hazel I don't know if I out it together in the right way, I kind of thought that the join shouldn't show, but the recipiant loved it.
Tattered lace Bells, SB swirlie flourish and WO roses.  It held a candle, it was for our friend Linda.

So I must get off now and get the lippy and perfume on and kit myself out to face the stormy weather we have just now, although it the sun is shining at the moment.

So until next time have a good day and hope to see you soon,

Clean & Simple, with Red, Green and White for the CCC!

Hello  to You All and hope you are well and enjoying your weekend.
Thank you for all the lovely comments on my last card, and for the sympathy shown to my hubby, a bit more than he got from me.  He is still not that good. Thankfully it doesn't happen all that often, silly man just can manage alcohol.

A bright and very cold day here, but the rain kept away. We have been lucky so far in that there has been no snow at this level, just on the hills, but it feels like there should be.

It's time once again for the friendly ladies from the Christmas Card Club to show this year's cards and we begin with Carol's choice which is Clean and Simple in Red, Green and White.  So here is mine;
This is very simple for me, I up cycled the tree from a very old Christmas card and found a piece of ribbon that's been around for ages, added pearls and a little star gem.

Well that is the first Christmas card of 2015 made, and I hear some of you groan thinking they are well and truly behind you for at least 9months, but it is a really good idea to get started, and this is what the CCC is all about and not being caught out and having to rush at the last moment. It's a fun way to get the cards made, maybe you would like to join us.

Off to make a cuppa, enjoy the rest of your evening and see you soon,
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

60th Birthday for Cecilia!

Good Evening Friends, and  Happy New Year to each and every one of you.  I hope that 2015 will be a year of  Health, Happiness, Peace and Prosperity for you.  I't been a difficult year for some, I hope that life improves for you.

I've had a little rest from commenting, but I have still been looking at the marvellous projects that's been appearing on my reading list, and loving them.

We had a lovely Christmas with Damian and Moreen and all the Grandpets, plenty of lovely food and terrific prezzies.  New Year was brought in with our friends Ken and Jan at their home, it was a lovely gentle easing into 2015. Alistair is a wee bit under the weather though, just a little too much whisky.
I am however glad it's all over and to be heading back in to normality, whatever that may be.

I was asked to make a special 60th birthday card and with a cat somewhere, here is what I came up with;
I've used the beautiful Lavinia Celtic die and shadowed it with another cut in black to add a shadow, you can just about see it.
Tattered Lace Numbers and Letters.
MB Fabulous Phlox cut in Vellum and coloured with SN
Ribbon from Hobby Craft
Dark Purple and shimmerd Lilac card. Silver Mirri
Gems and Pearls from my box.

My friend who made the card request loved it and felt sure his friend would too.

I hope you all had a fantastic Festive Season and are now ready and waiting for whatever the new year holds.
Thank you for visiting and commenting, and for all the gorgeous Christmas cards, paper ones and ecards both that I've received, you are all very kind.
See you again soon,
