Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and keeping sane and not too frazzled in these last few days till Christmas.

I took myself into town this morning, just for a wander around, I'd nothing to get, just wanted to soak in the atmosphere kinda thing and to treat myself to an Eggnog Latte. Have to say, there wasn't a great deal of atmosphere, but I certainly enjoyed my latte.

This is my final post of this year, and it's to wish all of my Blogging Friends and Visitors a Very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays if that's your thing, and a Healthy, and Happy 2023.

Thank you for following me and leaving such lovely comments, so this card's for you.

Have a peaceful Festive Time, I'll see you in the New Year, keep safe

We're Walking in the Air!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and not getting too stressed in this lead up to Christmas. I'm all sorted, just the fresh food needed and I'll do that on Friday. Parcels all wrapped, cards all posted or hand delivered.

We've had quite a bit of snow, but thankfully it's melting as the temperature has go up quite a bit, I hate when it gets all slushy, can still be quite dangerous when it freezes.

Anyway, my card today was made for my friend Fiona who loves The Snowman, and I make one every year for her,

Tried to delete the first image as I hadn't realised I hadn't turned it the right way, and now I can't delete it, anyway here it is the right way round. She loves it. I'm running out of ideas though.

The Choral Society had our Carolthon on Saturday, and our partner  charity this year is Mikeysline which is a mental health charity, started a few  years ago when there was almost no support for young people. The charity is names after a young man who took his life and sadly his friend too a short while later. This charity do excellent work and has grown to quiet a substantial support organisation.

We raised £1500 on the day and there will be more as the choir has sponsor sheets still to come in. It was good to get back doing the Carolthon after such a long time due to covid.

That's me for tonight, planning a quiet evening with a bit of knitting, you take care and see you soon,

Anything Goes for the CCC

Hello there from the frozen North, I hope you are all managing to say warm and cosy. Snow in Inverness didn't come to much thankfully, but very icy underfoot.

I'm here with the final Christmas Card Club card of the year, and hasn't the year gone by so quickly!!

Anything Goes is the challenge this time around, so here is what I've made,

When I saw this Card-io stamp I just had to have it as I thought it would make a super card for Alistair. Once again it's a combination of Card-io and Lavinia stamps, Elements ink, watercolour pencils and gel pens, little gems and the sentiments are from Lavinia Sentiment sheets.

Been busy today, putting the tree and decorations up, and Alistair put up new curtains, which when I brought them down discovered I'd bought the wrong type, pencil pleat instead of eyelet. So it was a quick dash to Dunelm to see if I could get them changed. I wanted to get material that Teallach can't get his claws into, he ruined the pair  taken down, so I wan'ted a smooth material rather than textured, if you know what I mean. He's a rascal, I really hoped that he would grow out of it, but no, he's ruined the stir carpet too. He does have a scratch post but won't use it, I quite despair of him at times.

Anyway, it's a feet up with a good book tonight, absolutely nothing I want to watch on the TV, Saturday nights are just awful now.

So, I'll get this post scheduled for tomorrow, please have a look at what my teammates create, they always have fabulous cards.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card.

Cheerio for now,

Birthday Wishes!

Hello Everyone, hoping you are keeping cosy in this cold weather. We are expecting snow here, could have a blanket of the stuff by the morning.

Well, I managed to get all my cards and parcels off today, a great sense of achievement lol.

I have a birthday card tonight to show you, made for a friend's husband,

Lavinia Greenman stamp, and a combination of DI and Elements ink. I've also used various Lavinia mini leaf stamps and Posca white pen.

This design was inspired by Emma Jo from Lavinia, she creates the most wonderful projects.

Well, that's me for now, time for a cuppa I think.

Keep yourselves cosy,

Christmas Tags!

Hello Everyone, another weekend, and I hope you are enjoying what you're doing, and that you are well and keeping cosy.

Been a dark day here, the rain kept away though so, I put towels out, but no drying, but least they got an airing.

I've spent the afternoon wrapping up gifts that have to be posted, I reckoned that with all the strike dates it would be sensible to get cracking with the wrapping and posting.  Ended up with an aching back though, so took my self off for a  wee walk to get rid of the cricks in my back and a bit of quiet time away from the footie.

Anyhoo, I've got some Christmas tags to show you today,

All sorts of stamps used, and a snowflake die from Crafters Companion. Crafting yarn from Lavinia Stamps.

I quite enjoyed making these, but they do take a bit of time.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, very much appreciated.

Well, that's me for now, have a lovely evening and I'll see you soon, take care,

Golden Trees!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all doing okay, and keeping warm and cosy. It's turned pretty cold up here with the temps in the minuses and there's heavy sleet forecast for later tonight. Even Teallach is not staying out long these days, can't blame him.

Anyhoo, I've a card tonight for you,

This is a design inspired by Robin Riley who is a DT member for De Bello Designs. I didn't have the exact stamps and stencil, I just used what I had. I used the Lavinia Fir Trees and embossed them with gold WOW embossing powder, the sentiment is also embossed and is from Card-io. A simple design but lovely.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, I always appreciate them.

That's me for now, thanks for your visits, see you soon,

Deer for the CCC of Anything Goes!

Hello there to you all, I hope everyone is well and having a lovely weekend.

I got food shopping done quite early this morning, it's good to get it out of the way, and I've spent a bit of time making Christmas tags in the afternoon, managed a bit of knitting too,

Well, it's time once again for the Christmas Card Club ladies to show their latest cards and this time Rachel chose the theme of Deer, or, of course Anything Goes.

I've used Lavinia stamps once again and this design has been influenced by Eleana Evens from the Lavinia DT.

Magnus is the name of the beautiful stag and he's awfully interested in looking at the tree, I wonder what he's seeing. Fairy Fir tree and a group of fir trees in the background. Elements ink, gel pen and posca splats. The verse is also from Lavinia.

I hope this will do Rachel. I enjoyed the challenge, so thank you so much.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, very much appreciated.

I'll get this post scheduled for tomorrow. Do have a look at the other cards my teammates create, they are always fabulous.

Take care and cheerio for now, see you soon,

Welcome Home!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and looking forward to the weekend.

It's the Choral Society's winter concert tomorrow, and it will be my first concert in three years. Not in the theatre this time, but in one of our local churches, and we have a lovely programme, so I think it will be a lovely evening. It's going to be the first I've been dressed up and wearing posh show for a long time, more used to jeans and trainers😃

Anyhoo, here is my card for today,

I used one of the Lavinia Scenescapes in the background, and the gorgeous fairy is called Zemira, and the owls are Brodwin and Maylin. I've stamped bramble along the top and down the side and stamped the Tree of Wisdom on the opposite side. Lots of silver gel pen and Stickles.
Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, I appreciate every one of them.
That's me for now, enjoy your weekend, take care of yourselves,

Shopping's Finished!

Hello there, I hope you are all doing well, if not, here are some healing vibes to feel better soon.

Been a dark, dreich day here, and now it's pouring down. Poor Teallach really wants to go out, but he's a tad shy of the rain, keeps getting me up to open the door, then just stands and sniffs the air, and walks back into the room. I keep telling him he'll have to brave it before bedtime.

I have another snow globe card tonight,

The snow globe stencil id from Sweet Poppy, and all the stamps are various Card-io sets, inked with Elements Ink. Gel pen and sparkle with glitter. An envelope to match, I just love all these wee happy snowmen.

Thanks to all who left comments on my last post, very much appreciated. That's me for now, take care and keep safe,

Crackers for CCC or Anything Goes!

Hello there, hope you are having a good weekend. Don't they come around so quickly; in fact, this whole year has gone by in a flash, and we are almost at the end of our CCC challenges.

Anyway, it was Rita who chose this weeks challenge of Crackers. There wasn't a cracker in sight, well, not strictly true, we have plenty of the eating kind, so I'm posting an Anything Goes card,

Once again, a combination of Lavinia and Card-io stamps. I've used one of Lavinia's new circular cards, gel pens, Stickles and water colour pencils. I don't know what's happened to the colours, the base card is white.

Sorry Rita that I could make the theme, I hope this will do.

That's me for now, I'll get this scheduled for tomorrow for when the CCC post goes live. Enjoy your evening,

Noof and Friends

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and enjoying life.

We've had a really blustery day here, and I hate high winds, can be so dangerous.

Anyway, I've got the birthday card I made for my friend Fiona,

Here's beautiful Noof and her friends, all stamps are by Lavinia Stamps. Oxide and Elements inks, gel pens and some sparkle.

Fiona loved it, and that's all that matters. Fi is getting on fine and almost completed her radiotherapy treatment. She remains positive and is hoping to come along to our Choral concert next week.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last card. Well, that's me for tonight, time for a cuppa I think, so I'll say cheerio for now and see you soon,

Sunday 6 November 2022

Greenman!

Hello to you all, I hope you are well and having a great weekend.  It's been a lovely day here, although really cold in the morning, but I've done nothing except shopping and housework, well I guess it's got to be done sometime.

Yesterday was Alistair's birthday, here is the card I made for him

Once again Lavinia Stamps. I thought this image made a fabulous male card, and something just that little bit different. I inked up a round gel plate with Elements and Versafine Clair inks. The tree stencil on the envelope is from Imagination crafts. Alistair loved it.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, very much appreciated.

Just a short post today, thank you for your visits, take care and see you soon,

Friday 4 November 2022

Anniversary!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and having a relaxing evening.

I'm just popping in with the Anniversary card I made for Alistair. We are 27 years married today.

Using a combination of Lavinia Stamps and Card-io Stamps I decided to have these little kissing hares in the wreath. Elements in for colouring.

Have to say he loved it.

We've has a lovely day, going for an Indian meal, back to a restaurant we were last in well before covid.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, as always you are so kind.

That's me for now, take care of yourselves and see you soon,

Tuesday 1 November 2022

Jolly Roger!

Hello Everyone, I hope all's well with you and yours and that you've had a good day.

Teallach and I have the house to ourselves for a couple of days as Alistair is away to Strathdon for a funeral, and decided to stay over with friends, peace and quiet, and some time spent in the craft room.

Here is a card made for a young friend,

I've used an old Chocolate Baroque image and coloured with water colour pencils. The stencilled background is from Lavinia Stamps, Elements ink. I thought this would do for a young man.

Before I sign off, just want to say thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, very much appreciated.

Take care of yourselves and cheerio for now,

Winter Animals!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and having a good weekend.

It's the Christmas Card Club weekend and it's been Elizabeth's turn to choose a theme and it's Winter Animals.

I startedk with a lovely tree stencil from Angie's Happy Hobby, inked with DI. Scene built up with Card-io stamps from various sets. Words in the background is The Spirit of Christmas from Lavinia Stamps, background inks Elements also from Lavinia Stamps. Sickles and Glitter.

Thank you, Elizabeth, for the challenge, I really enjoyed it, even although it was my second attempt as I duffed it up when I was putting in the background words, so had to start again. Got there in the end thankfully, though rather later than planned.

Do have a look at what the other girls from the CCC create, always fabulous cards.

That's all from me for now, enjoy your evening,

Just for You!

Hello Everyone, I hope all's well with you and you are enjoying your weekend. Mine has been filled with shopping, I hate it, any kind of shopping now, I've seen the day when I could spend all day going round the shops.

I did however bump into my friend Fiona in Boots whilst I was browsing for Christmas gift idea, and she was looking so good, hard to believe what she's going through. With her chemo behind her, she starts on radiotherapy next week. It was so good to see her, and like me she was browsing.

Here's today's card,

Everything from Lavinia Stamps. Elements Ink, Open Dandelions stamp, Sentiments and stencil.

And with its envelope.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my last post.

That's all from me today, just a quick pop in, take care of yourselves,

A planter of Blooms!

Hello, I hope you are all well and have had a good day. A beautiful day here, sunshine, but cool, very cold now though.

Alistair took himself off down to the Cairngorms for a walk and had a lovely day, I got on with some household chores.

I have a coloured picture tonight,

A page from my Johanna Basford diary, coloured with Derwent Coloursoft pencils, and little bits of glitter. A Gina K stencil in the background.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my last card, I very much appreciate them.

I've got to go into town tomorrow for my third covid injection and flu jab. Hoping it all goes well and no nasty side effects.

Anyhoo, enjoy your evening and take care, see you soon,

Sunday 16 October 2022

Snow Globe for the CCC!

Hello Friends and Visitors, I hope your weekend is going well, and that everyone is doing okay.

Time once again for the Christmas Card Club to show their latest cards, and this time it's our Gwen who has chosen the theme of Snow Globes, or Anything Goes if you can't manage the theme.

Here's my Snow Globe, and the stencil if from Sweet Poppy Stencils, and inked up with Lavinia Elements ink, all stamps are by Card-io.

A lovely challenge Gwen, I did enjoy it and using my new purchase of the stencil.

Just a short post today, but just to say before I sign off, thank you for the lovely comments you leave me, I do really appreciate the time you take to visit.

So, cheerio for now, take care of yourselves and hope to see you soon,

The Friends Christmas Concert!

Hello Everyone, apologies for not being in Blogland for a wee while, just felt I needed to have a break from it.

Anyhoo, I do hope you are all well and enjoying life.

I have a Christmas card for you this evening,

The musical tree is a Sweet Poppy stamp, and all the other stamps are from Card-io, the sentiment is from the tree set.

Lavinia Elements Ink, blue mirror card, splatters and gel pens.

I made a huge blunder when trying to stamp the hare, trying to correct it was a bit of a hit and miss. I inked it up on the wrong side and was left with a huge black blob, gesso painted over it and then some olive elements ink, it's still noticeable, but did the best I could.

Thank you all for the lovely comments you leave, cheerio for now, take care

Sunday 2 October 2022

Use Dies for the CCC!

Hello Everyone, hoping you are all well and having a good weekend.

October!!! Amazing, where has the year gone, won't be long until we will be using all these Christmas cards we're making, anyhoo here is my latest card for the Christmas Card Club and this time it's Sylvie who has chosen the theme of using dies.

Now I don't get along well with dies but tried my best with this little snowman from Carnations Crafts, the tree is also from them, but cut out by hand. To make a little scene I added stamps from Card-io. Inkylicious sentiment. Lots of glitter and gel pen. The mats are also from Carnation Crafts.

Thank you, Sylvie, I ended up enjoying the challenge and had fun making the card, I do love this little snowman, he's so cute.

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my previous card.

That's me for now, scheduling this for the CCC post which goes live tomorrow, Sunday.

Remember to have a look at the other CCC girl's cards, they are always worth a look, till next time,

Foraging Fairies!

Good Evening Everyone, I hope you've had a good day and managed to do something you like doing. I made two pots of soup and got some knitting done. Alistair was away for a wee sail in Loch Ness, he said the loch was pretty choppy though. rather him than me.

I have a card, yes, another Lavinia one, it's a birthday card for Alistair's Neice,

Stamps, stencil and Elements ink all by Lavinia stamps. Card edged with a silver Sharpie pen, gel pend and glitter. I've used a couple of toadstool stamps on the envelope. It's my first outing of my new gel press, which is also from Lavinia. I feel I need a bit more practice with it.

Karen doesn't look at my blog so I should be safe enough posting her card.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, you are very kind.

That's me for now, take care of yourselves and see you soon,

Christmas Trees for the CCC!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend.

Another two weeks has rolled by and it's time once again for the Christmas Card Club to show their latest creations.  This time it's Zoe who has chosen the theme and it's Christmas Trees. Here's what I've managed;

I've used a Sweet Poppy Stencil and created a little scene inside it with a stamp from a magazine. Distressed Oxides used to colour the stencil. The stage is from Card-io stamps and the sentiment from Besotted stamps, lots of glitter and a silver Sharpie pen around the edges of the card.

The stencil is a new buy and I think it will be get lots of use.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card.

Look out for the other CCC ladies' cards, they are always beautiful.

That's me for now, take care,

Tiny Mushroom Houses!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all doing well, and life is good for you.

Well, we here in the Scottish Highlands can really feel that Autumn has really set in. First morning of my cosy knitted socks and a warm jacket.  I've almost been tempted to put on some heating but managed to resist, wearing my big outdoor fleece. Yes, it's colder indoors than out. I really don't know how folks are going to manage this year, and most likely next. We most definitely need a revolution. Of course if we had still been in the EU we could have benefited by the windfall tax on energy companies that the EU commission has proposed, setting mandatory threshold for prices charged by companies, and profits shared out to those who need it most.   Ah well, we had out chance and it was blown away,

Rant over!

So, today's card is this,

Tiny Mushroom Houses from Chocolate Baroque coloured with watercolours. Sentiment comes with the stamp set. Posca pen and some sparkle.

Thanks to all who have been leaving me comments, I do appreciate them all. I am however wondering where quite a few of my usual followers have disappeared to, there seems to be less and less with every post I put up. I hope that people are well and that it's other interests that are taking up their time.

That's me for now, enjoy the remainder of your day and see you soon, take care of yourselves,
