Sending Hugs!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and having a good week so far. I can hardly believe it's Wednesday already, the das are flying by.

Woke up to snow this morning. Teallach wanted out at 4.30am, but when I opened the door he wasn't keen to go out, a slight nudge over the step helped him make up his mind. It was soooooo cold too. However, it's mostly melted away, even the few showers we've had during the day.  Hope you had better weather.

I have a card today,

The floral image is by Altenew and coloured with Zig watercolour pens, they come with a die, so cut out the sprigs and mounted on to blue card. The sentiments are from the same stamp set, added a few gems. Stamped some Card-io stamps on the envelope.

The card was for Fiona, and she loved it.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my last card, very much appreciated.

Question; can anyone tell me what's happened to Hochanda, it doesn't seem to be coming up on my TV. It's been ages since I watched it, but I took a wee notion the other day to see what was on it, but couldn't find it.

That's me for now, so stay safe and see you soon,

Floral Birthday Card!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are enjoying your week end and that you have lovely weather.

What a great week of weather we've had, it fairly lifts the spirits and makes you want to get on with chores you've been putting off for a while.........well some of them lol.

Alistair has taken to cycling this last week and is away this afternoon, a bit of peace and quiet for a couple of hours.

I have a Birthday card for a friend today;

I've been inspired by Marianne Fisher to get out my Card-io stamps, they've not been used all that much recently. Marianne is creating such beautiful cards with her Card-io stamps.

I've used Versacolour in and stamps from Dandelions at Dusk, Blown Away and Freesia and Violet sets. The sentiment is by Woodword, I've added some tiny gems and a few sequins. I even carried on the flowers on the envelope.

This is for a friend I used to work with whom unfortunately don't get see all that often, I hope she'll like it.

Just a wee update on my friend Fiona. She went through her surgery on Tuesday and he Hubby got in touch to say that everything seemed to go well and she was getting out the following day. Not wanting to tire her I thought I would wait a few days before I got in touch, I'm sure she will need plenty of rest.

So, just before I go, wanted to thank you for the lovely comments  that you leave, I really do appreciate them.

Enjoy your weekend and cheerio for now,

April Showers in My Spring Walk

Good Evening Everyone, I hope you are all well and managing to keep free of the dreaded Covid.

We have had a gorgeous day here, sunshine and heat, in fact it's been a lovely few days, so I hope you are all having good weather where ever you are.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my CCC cards, as always you are very kind.

I have a coloured page tonight,

This page is from Rita Berman's Mein Fruhlings Spaziergang, and roughly translated is My Spring Walk.

Coloured with Castleart pencils, and I've used Stickles for some sparkle, on the clouds and raindrops and windows.

We are having at long last new neighbours, if you remember last year our neighbours Donny and Annette moved to sheltered housing, which was really sad as they had been next door for many years, well yesterday a very young couple came to have a look see at the house, gosh they did make us feel old. They will be renting and it's their first home together, everything went through today for them, so they brought mum and dad for a look. It will be lovely to have neighbours again, and they have the most adorable miniature Dachshund, I just love them. Anyway, they said they wouldn't be having wild parties, to which I replied that was a disappointment as we would love to go to a wild party lol. They seem a very pleasant couple and so very excited at the prospect of moving in.

Righty o, that's my news, I feel the need to get the pj's on so I'll love you and leave you and see you soon. Take care of yourselves,

Sweet Treats for CCC!

Hello Everyone, and welcome anyone who pops in for a visit.

I hope your weekend is going well and you have as lovely a day as we have here, sunshine all the way and 15 degrees, positively tropical! All the bedding washed, hung out, dried and ironed, nothing like outside fresh, sheets on the bed.

Anyhoo, it's time for the Christmas Card Club to show their creations and this time Margaret has chosen the theme of Sweet Treats, here is what I've managed.

A Sheena Douglass stamp I've had for ages, and plenty sweet treats here, with the hot chocolate, cookies and candy canes. Coloured with Copic markers, and glitter. I found a gingerbread man stencil so decided to use that for the background. Sentiment is one from a Creative Stamping magazine.

This card was inspired by one in a Creative Stamping magazine, I've used the cute boot image which came in the magazine and coloured it with Copic markers. various brands of paper for the background. Glittered up the boot with Glamour Dust, glitter. Sentiment from Creative Stamping. a few gems on the stars.

This little guy is from Papermania, bought a while ago, it's a little tag, coloured with sparkling gel pens. Found a EF that I thought would go with it and used it with red card, finished of with some ribbon and gems.

Thank you Margaret for a really enjoyable challenge, and the chance to use some old stash and things like stencils and EFs.

Thank you for  you visits and your lovely comments, I do appreciate them so much.

That's me for now, enjoy your weekend and keep safe,

A Night Time Sail!

Hello to You All, I hope everyone is well and having a good day.

Lots of Covid around in Scotland just now, probably all over the UK, I no longer watch the Covid news, in fact I no longer watch any news on mainstream channels. Our Aqua class was fairly depleted today  with so many down with the dreaded disease. Both Alistair and I have been lucky and not succumbed to it, but you never know.

Anyhoo, on to what I've brought t the party today,

This lovely Fairy and her gorgeous black swan are coloured with a selection of Black Widow pencils, Posca white pen and glitter on the wings. The page is for a monthly colouring magazine called Colouring Heaven.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on Alejandro's card, and I had a lovely half hour of play with him when I went round to hand in is card and gifts. Gosh he's a clever wee guy, he counts up to ten, and beginning to read, so our books for him went down a treat. He had so many toys to show me, and I have to say I've lost the knack of playing with so many toys at the same time though lol.  He is very shy when we meet outside, but not in his home, strange that.

Anyway, that's me for now, take care of yourselves and see you soon,

Birthday Dragon!

Hello Everyone, hoping all is well with you and that you're enjoying your weekend.

Had nothing much planned for today, but decided to go into town as I needed something from M&S, but didn't stop long.  The centre of Inverness depresses me now with so many shops closed and boarded up, tons of charity shops and gambling establishments though, really awful as all we have to depend on is tourism, and I can't think that the visitors would want to see those. We used to have lovely little independent shops, Okay rant over.

I've got a birthday card for our little guy who lives next door, Alejandro who is 2 years old,

This cute dragon is one of LOTV's new digital images and I've coloured him with Castleart colour pencils. Dotted paper in background is also LOTV. Tattered Lace dies.

He is having a party today, and we've had fun watching all the very little ones arriving in their party best, and the odd dummy tit, and noted that is nearly all little girls, ah well, he is going to be a heartbreaker when he grows, you can really see his South American heritage now, one of his Grandmas is from Ecuador, he's the most gorgeous little guy.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last post, always very kind.

Received my letter from the hospital with the results that I was waiting for, and nothing to worry about, phew!, however, as I thought the examination has not addressed the stomach problem, so I will have to mention that when I get the follow up phone call to find if the symptoms have gone. I never had any in the first place....so how would I know! Anyway, it's good to know that there's nothing bad lurking about.

That's me for now, take care of yourselves and see you soon,

Christmas Bells for the CCC!

Hello to You All, I hope things  are good for you and that you are enjoying the sunshine this morning, here in Inverness it's glorious,  a lovely crisp morning. I believe though there is snow forecast for next week, a blast from the Artic coming in.

Talking about the Artic, we have been watching a super documentary about the Artic with Bruce Parry, on Saturday evenings on channel 24, which I think is BBC 4. It's so interesting to learn how the indigenous people live and the concerns for their way of life in amongst the changes of environment. Bruce Parry is such a brilliant presenter and his concern for the Inuit people really shows. Anyhow, it's worth a look, although I don't think it's a new series.

Well, it's the Christmas Card Club Challenge time again, where did the last two weeks go???? This time Gran Margaret chose the theme of Christmas Bells.

I have much inspired by my lovely Blogging Friend Marianne to get my Card-io stamps out, so that's what I've done for this challenge. Marianne has been making lovely wreath cards with the card-io stamps so I thought I would give one  a go.

Various stamp sets used; The Bell is from Merrily on High, the wreath and leaves from Thorny Wreath, other foliage from Branching out, and the sentiment from Winter Wishes 4. I added red Liquid Pearls for the berries, matted on to blue card and finished off with little sparkle gems on the bell.

Thank you Margaret for such a lovely challenge, I enjoyed it.

Thank you all for your lovely comments on my last post for the Masquerade Lady, I do appreciate all your visits and comments.

Don't forget to have a look at what the other CCC ladies create, their cards are always fabulous.

Have a lovely day and keep safe,

Midnight Masquerade!

Hello Everyone, I hope all is well with you and you're looking forward to the weekend, I can hardly believe that it's Friday already. The days are swishing by.

I'm back with another coloured page, this time from a Hanna Karlzon book, Midnight Masquerade,

This is the name page I coloured last year, can't remember at all what pencils I used, but here is the picture I've just finished.

Well, sorry to say that my lady's dress colour hasn't photographed well, the underskirt is a pale sky blue, anyhoo, I've coloured with Prismacolours and added soft pastels to the background. Added white  dots with a Posca pen.

My Friend Fiona and I met up earlier on in the week, and enjoyed  Costa coffee and lemon muffins, very naughty. It was lovely to see her, and believe it or not we laughed about so many things, in amongst the sadness of her illness. It never ceases to amaze me just how brave people with  diagnoses of the Big C are, an inner strength must be found from somewhere. She is very positive, which goes a long way in helping psychologically and emotionally, so I believe. The next step is more surgery in a couple of weeks. And...she has taken up colouring!! thinking ahead to when she has to go for treatment, she can take a bag with pencils and a book. Thanks to you all for your well wishes for her.
And, thanks too for all your lovely comments on my last post, very much appreciated.
Righty oh, that's me for now, better get on and see what we are eating tonight, I think it's going to be a pot luck meal lol.
Take care everyone and see you soon,
