Winter Castle!

 Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend.

I've not had a busy one, just some food shopping and a bit of pottering around with housework. I will need to do some serious housework tomorrow though. I'll have plenty of time to do it as I'll beginning my lead up to my hospital appointment in two weeks time and I have to cut down on social contacts, so as the only thing I do now is aqua classes, I'll be giving them up for the time being.

I have to have an endoscopy and a colonoscopy, and it all be done in the one appointment, but all made a bit more complicated because of my diabetes and of course covid, but at least it's getting done, my initial appointment was way back in August last year. I isolate for three days prior to the appointment and do a PCR test. I know it's all quite routine stuff, but it's pretty intrusive, and I know that there are some repairs to my colon to made. So, lots of time for housework, knitting and colouring over the next couple of weeks.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my football card, as always I appreciate the time you take to visit and comment.

I have a coloured page tonight;

I coloured this page with Caran D'Ache  Pablo pencils and added Stickles for some sparkle on the mountains. I the photo the mountains look a bit dirty, but it's actually green coloured pencil to give the impression of bushes and scrub on the mountains.

  Roughly translated this My Winter Walk, I love Rita Berman's whimsical drawings.

Well I can hear there is quite a hoolie going on outside with the wind,  I believe we are in for another storm, good to be indoors.

That's me for now, keep safe from covid, it's still raging, no matter what your told, and see you soon,

For a Footie Fan!

 Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and having a good day.

We are all good here, and enjoying the lovely weather, sunny, but cold.

Well the broadband installation went well, two lovely young engineers set it all up, they ate all the chocolate biscuits though lol, but didn't leave until everything was up and running and all going on all my devices.  However, having tried to cancel the broadband account that I had, I've got to wait 30 days before I can be disconnected, because I'm in migration??? from the Post Office to Shell, they always find a way to extract more money out of you. I will also have a new email address as my existing one will go with the old broadband. Wasn't life much simpler before all the technology!

Anyhoo, on to my card, made for a lovely young man who is a great Glasgow Celtic supporter,

Sorry once again this photo isn't great. So, we have a little LOTV digital image and I've coloured him with Copic pens, the paper in the background is from a set gifted to me from Flo who designed them for Crafty Individuals. This one was the nearest I could get to go with my colours and it's just lovely. Computer generated sentiments and some grey gems.

We have been invited to his birthday party, but we felt that for us that it would be taking a chance due to covid, besides, I will be in an isolation period prior to my hospital appointment for the treatment of my stomach etc, which is in a couple of weeks. But we will be there with him in spirit.

Declan, is the young friend of my BIL Jim who helped to support him while he was unwell prior to his passing a couple of years ago. We've kept in touch with him since then, and hope he can visit when all this covid   and his studies are over.

So, that's me for now, as  always thank you so much for your lovely comments on my last post.

Cheerio for now and see you soon,

A Classic Car for a Classic Guy!

 Good Evening to You, I hope your weekend was a good one, and that the new week has gotten off to a good stare for you.

I had a quiet weekend, pottering about at home, and getting some cards and colouring done.

Today, was a busy one with Aqua in the morning, then changing my email address with organisations that I deal with, like bank, electric company etc. We are having a new broadband installed tomorrow, and we will loose our email address as it goes along with the Post Office. We have had no end of trouble with this company for months now since they were bought over by Shell. I was without emails for three weeks at one point, and I sometimes can't get onto them at all unless I first delete all the cookies, who has time for all that. So, I thought time for a change. Doing away with the phone too, so will just use a mobile. I just hope it all goes smoothly, never guaranteed in this house.

Then over to see Damian as it's his birthday today, here is his card,

 The car stamp is from Creative Stamping, and I used the Black Ice Technique, matted on to blue mirror card. I used my cog stencil to make a background, then added some grey enamelled dots. He liked it.

So, busy day, I'm whacked now, I think it will be an early night.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, I always appreciate them.

Cheerio for now, and keep yourselves safe,

The True Meaning of Christmas for the CCC!

 Hello to You All, I hope everyone is tickity boo, and enjoying the weekend.

It's time for the second Christmas Card Club  Challenge, and this time it's our lovely Christine who has chosen the theme of the True Meaning of Christmas. this is what I've gone with;

On black card I've used an Imagination Craft stencil and pasted glitter paste on it, didn't find it easy to photograph, and the glitter isn't all that bright, anyhoo I've added some tiny clear gems. A simple card, but I like the sentiments.

Thank your Christine for the challenge, I enjoyed making this card.

Just a short post today, cheerio for now

Blue and Grey!

 Hello Everyone, I hope you are well, and life is being good to you. We are speeding through January, almost half way through now, but have you noticed the days are getting longer, closing the curtains at 5pm instead of 4pm, so we're moving on.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my last cards, I always appreciate your visits and the kind comments.

I've spent a bit of time trying to make Damian's birthday card  today, which have ended up in the bin, both of them, so I'll have to start again, good job I've still got a bit of time, I'm just not really in the mood for card making ,and finding it difficult to think up ideas, but I'm sure I'll come up with something.

Anyway, I've got a page from Johanna's Christmas Colouring Book,

 I used Caran d'Ache Luminance coloured pencils in shades of blue and grey, I wanted to keep to a monochrome pallet. I inked the corners with DI. I'm rather pleased with how this picture turned out. Here's the book it's from,

Well that's me for tonight, feet up and a watch of the TV, Alistair will make a cuppa in a wee while, he's a good soul. Cheerio for now,

Black and Gold for the CCC!

 Happy New Year to You All, I hope everyone enjoyed their festivities and are now looking forward to the year ahead.

Alistair and I had a lovely Christmas Day with Damian, Moreen and all the pets. Both Milo and Rowan were very excited to see us, and both claimed Alistair's knees, but Alfie the gorgeous cat won out as he fitted on the knees perfectly, it was all so funny to watch. We has a lovely Vegetarian dinner, and I walked over the road afterwards to make sure Teallach was alright. Damian and the dogs came with me and it was like walking on diamonds, what a thick frost, and bright stars, but perishing cold, just what was needed after a wonderful dinner.

New Year was quiet, we struggled to say up for the bells, I just wanted to go to bed with my book. There was nothing good on the TV either, gone are the days when the Hogmanay programmes were good with Stanley Baxter, Francie and Josie , Jimmy Logan.....who I can hear you say, my Scottish Blogging Friends will know who I'm talking about lol.

Anyhoo, it's good to get back to normal...whatever that is.

So, this is the first Christmas Card Club Challenge of 2022 and I'm leading off with a Black and Gold theme, here is what I've come up with;

 Papers are from Dovecraft Time to Sparkle pad, where all the papers are black and gold. The die is one I bought at The Works a year or so ago, then finished it off with some black sequins.

Strips of black and gold glitter card, a SU tree and sentiment stamp embossed in gold, a gold bow and s few golden gems. Totally simple.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the other CCC girls make, so remember to have a look as they always have fabulous cards.

That's me for now, I hope you are all well and keeping safe from the virus, it remains very worrying. It's raging in Inverness, so we are carrying on as we have been for the last how ever long it's been, so take care and be back soon,
