Sunset Siesta!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and enjoying your day.

We have a lovely sunny day, a a wee bit warm in the sun although, it's only 10 degrees. Good for a washing out though.

Fiona and I met up yesterday, and she was looking so much better than the last time I saw her. She will have the results of her scan today so I'm hoping she has good news, however she will have to have radiotherapy. Fi is still positive, I just think she is so brave. Anyway, over two decafe lattes and lemon muffins we put the world to rights lol.

So todays  card is one using some of my new Card-io stamps, and with inspiration from a card I found on Pinterest, sorry I can't remember the name of the lady who created it.

The stamp sets used are, Sunset Siesta, Textures, Tiny Trailers and Summer Serenity. I had a brick stencil so used that as a background, I've put Glossy Accents on the lantern and wine glasses. and Stickles on the butterflies, which aren't showing up all that well. Matted on the a wine coloured card from SU. Sentiment is from Penny Black.

This is for a friends' birthday who likes a glass or two of wine. I hope she likes it.

I've just had a text from Fiona to say the CT scan was clear, I'm sure she's so relieved, time she had some good news.

Thank you all so much for the visits and the lovely comments you leave, always appreciated.

Guess I'd better see about getting the dinner sorted, it's going to be a pot luck meal I think tonight.

Take care everyone and see you soon,

Japanese Lady!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your weekend and that you have better weather than we have, a dreich day here, drizzling rain and quite cold. It's going to be a staying in day for me. I've been working on a birthday card for a friend, but although I can see it in my head, it's not transposing on to card, do you ever get that?, I'll leave it alone for now and go back to it.

Today I Have a coloured page from a book that Damian and Moreen gave me last year,

This lovely Japanese lady was coloured with Prismacolors and gel pens. It's  from a little colouring book bought in Tesco, and it is little, so good for taking away with you or for sitting watching TV in the evening, there are some lovely  illustrations in it.

A super wee book and great for beginners and not expensive.

I'm looking forward to meeting up with Fiona on Tuesday for a coffee and hearing how she is. She had a scan last week, which sounded horrible as it involved having  a dye put in to make the pictures clearer. We are keeping our fingers crossed that it will come back with good news.

I'm off to visit your blogs now to see what you've all been creating, so enjoy your Sunday and see you soon,

Cats or Dogs for the CCC!

Hello Everyone, back at last and very late with my Christmas Card Club Challenge post. We were having a wooden floor laid and really in a burach clearing the living room and than all the cleaning up and shifting the furniture back, and you know what it's like, it ends up not just that room getting cleaned but the whole house. However, it's been so worth it as the floor looks really good, and should be easier to clean especially with having a hairy cat. Mind you, I'm still cleaning, dust takes so long to settle. And Teallach hates it, he's taken refuge upstairs since  Friday, totally ignores the new rug I bought for him, poor boy, he hates change.

Anyhoo, here I am at last with my cards for the CCC, better late than never. Sylvie chose the theme and it's Cats or Dogs, I managed one of each,

Now both of the images I've used are digital, but I can't for the life of me remember which company they are from. Coloured with Caran d'Ache Pablo pencils and a sentiment from a Creative Stamping magazine. Decided to use an embossing folder that I've had for ages, once again I can't remember from where, gems and Stickles and job done.

These doggies are colours with the same pencils, but used some Crafters Companion paper and glitter card in the background. Sentiment is from Clearly Besotted, gems and Stickles. I hope these will do Sylvie and apologies for being so late. It was  super challenge, so thank you so much.

Sorry too for now commenting, I'm afraid that when evening came around I was just too tired, but I'll get back on it soon.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my last card, our new neighbours loved it and have been busy settling in to their new house.

That's me for now, I hope everyone is well and keeping safe. Scotland is now in line with the rest of the UK with all covid restrictions now just guidance, piece of nonsense, as the virus is still raging in Scotland. My mask will be on for a long time yet.

Cheerio for now and see you soon.....I hope

A New Home!

Hello Everyone, hoping all goes well with you and that your week's got off to a good start.

As we had a beautiful warm day, we took ourselves off to Nairn for a walk on the beach, had a coffee from our flask and a biscuit or two, it was just lovely, tell you what, we know how to live.

I have a New Home card for you,

The little house is from Lavinia Stamps, I love this image and as I think it could be a fairy house I added a couple of fairies from Card-io's Enchanted Garden set and gave them toadstools from their Tiny Toadstools set. Imagination Crafts circle stencil with Versacolour. The house was was coloured with Castleart Pasteltint pencils, with a little Stickles and of course Stickles on the fairy wings. LOTV sentiment, some sequins and tiny gems.. Card from SU.

It's for our new neighbours who move in tomorrow.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my last post, you are all very kind.

A short post tonight, so I'll love you and leave you for now, keep yourselves safe and see you soon,

Whale Rider!

Hello Everyone, and I hope your Saturday is going well.

I've been on the housework, had a wee walk and having been colouring for a couple of hours this afternoon, and thanking my lucky stars that I'm not Alistair who is helping a friend varnish his boat. It's been hailstones off and on all afternoon, huge stones too. That really good warm spell a week or so ago really lulled  us in to a false sense that Winter was pas. Oh well, not much we can do except wear the right clothes lol.

Here with a finished page,

Whale Rider from Colouring Heaven a monthly colouring magazine. The artist is Wheeshan Ong, and her art work is amazing. Anyhoo, I've coloured with Caran D'Ache  Pablo pencils, and Sakura Gelly Roll pen in Clear Star. Stickles Star Dust. I'm pretty pleased with how the picture turned out.

This is the book,

Thank to everyone who left a comment on my last post, I always appreciate everyone of them.

Enjoy your weekend, and keep yourselves safe, cheerio for now,

All Set to Go!

Hello All, I hope all is going well with you and that your week is going well.

Just a quick pop in tonight with a card I coloured up for my friend Fiona for our fantasy trip,

and here is the little book of postcards it's from. I used Black Widow pencils and some gel pens. Fi loved it.

Nothing new to tell you, keeping indoors as our weather has reverted to Winter, rain, sleet, hail, and snow, and last night super high winds, I just hate the wind, so destructive.

That's me for now, keep safe, covid is just as high, in Scotland anyway, see your soon,

Embossing Folders for the CCC!

Hello  logging Friends and Visitors, I hope your weekend is going well, hasn't it come around quickly!

Better day today, sunshine and a wee bit of warmth, even although it was only 6 degrees, at leased I got bedding out and dried.

So it's time again for the CCC ladies to show their creations, where did the last two weeks go, Zoe chose the theme this time around and it's Embossing Folders, here is what I made;

I've used an EF from Crafts too, and as I made a mess of the embossed side I turned it around and used the reverse side, works just as well. Card-io stamps from Star Gazing set, I really do love this set with the animals looking at the Star. Versacolour ink for the sky, Tombow watercolour pens for the leaves on the circle,  Star Dust Stickles, white Posca pen, tiny clear gems and. sentiment from Card-io. I stamped Card-io's poinsettia stamps on the envelope

No. 2 card

I've had this EF for yonks and can't remember what make it is, I mounted onto a grape coloured card, added clear gems and Stickles Glisten and it's once again a Card-io sentiment, a little stag on the envelope.

Thank you so much Zoe for a fab challenge, I really enjoyed making these cards.

Remember to have a look at what the other CCC girls make, their creations are always fabulous.

Thank you so much for your comments on my last card.

That's me for now, keep yourselves safe,
