Last Orders!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and having a good week so far.

I did manage to make my aqua class on Monday and Choral practice in the evening. Mind you there was lots of coughing and sneezes around the room. I didn't do much singing in case it started off a round of coughing, but sang beautifully in my head, lol. It was good to get back to normal.

Thank you for your lovely comments on  my CCC card.

I have my son's birthday card to show you tonight, it was his birthday yesterday,

The bottles and tankard are from Card-io stamps Last Orders, and I've also used various Lavinia stamps. A Lavinia Stamps stencil in the background. Pleased to say he liked it.

Just a quick pop in today, so I'll say cheerio for now and see you soon, take care,

Use Two or More Pattered Papers for CCC!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all doing well and keeping cosy. Thankfully temps have gone up here and the snow is disappearing.

It's time again for the Christmas Card Club to show what they've created and this time it's to use patterned papers, of course there is also the choice of Anything Goes if that can't be managed,

I only made one card, these images were from a pop out sheet and I only added some Stickles for sparkle. It's completely flat which is becoming more my aim now that the postage is horrendous.

Do have a look at what the other girls make, their cards are always fabulous.

That's all from me today, just a quick post, take care of yourselves and see you soon,

Yuletide Friends!

Hello Everyone, another cold snowy day up here, how is it your way?

Had a quiet day at home and made soup and did some colouring, Alistair was out at his little music group so Teallach and I had a nice afternoon by ourselves.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my coloured page, your'e  all very kind.

I have another page from the same colouring book,

This time the page is coloured with Polychromos and I've added lots of Stickles for glitter.

That's all from me tonight, take care of yourselves and see you soon,

The Night Before Christmas!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and keeping free from all these cold and flu bugs that are going around. I'm still coughing like mad, and energy levels still low. I was hoping I'd get back to aqua class tomorrow but I doubt it. However, the daylight is lasting longer so that's moving in the right direction.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my Sympathy card.

Not a card today but a coloured picture;

This picture is from a lovely book called Holiday Traditions by an artist called Jim Shore, and is titled The Night Before Christmas.

I coloured with Crayola pencils, which has a lovely range of colours, but takes ages to blend, you have to really work at it, but considering they are as cheap as chips and the sort of coloured pencils you buy for your children they've done not too bad a job.

This is such a lovely colouring book, so many beautiful pictures to colour, spoiled for choice.

That's me for now, so enjoy the remainder of your Sunday, and take care of yourselves,

With Love and Sympathy!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all doing well and getting settled into the New Year.

I'm still full of this cold bug, I just can't seem to shift it, some days it feels like my cough is going, the next it's as bad as ever, and I've got no energy what's so ever. Anyway, I'm keeping indoors as much as possible hoping that staying in a constant temperature. I'm missing my aqua classes, but the thought of getting into cold water is just too much.

So, I'm here with the type of card we all hate to make. This card was for our lovely friend Jean, whose Husband died, in early December. Those of you who have followed me for some time will have heard of our friend Peter who was a fabulous artist. A few years ago he had cancer of the tongue and had to have extensive radiotherapy, which wrecked his lymph nodes, making it difficult for him to eat. However, he struggled on and made the best of things and got back to painting again, a couple of months ago he had a stroke, we thought he was getting over that, but by this time he had to be fed by a tube, which took around 15 hours to do. For someone who loved good food and wine, travel and socialising this was so sad, there was very little quality of life for Peter. It was so sad to lose him, but a blessing for him, and Jean who nursed him so well.

We have some wonderful memories of  being with both of them, and we have some of his amazing artwork which is treasured.

Stamping up dandelions with some from Lavinia Stamps, sentiment is from Lavinia. Warm Breeze Claire ink.

Well that's me for now, have a good evening and see you back in Blogland soon, take care of yourselves,

Embossing Folders for the CCC!

Happy New Year to You All, I hope you all had a lovely Festive Season, and looking forward to 2023. For many last year was a pretty grim time for many, we can only hope that this new year will bring better things and kinder times.

I'm back with my first Christmas Card Club creation of this new year and the theme is Embossing Folders,

Now, I don't know which make the embossing folder is, but I coloured up card with Glistening Polish from Lavinia and used their lovely Christmas Tree Stamp. sentiments from their sentiment sheets and a few crystal gems and gel pens. A matching envelope. A simple card and flat for posting.

Both Alistair and I are trying to recover from the mother of all colds. I've had it since before Christmas and Alistair a few days later. We don't often have colds or flu, in fact I can't remember when we last had one, but this one is a beezzer and taking so long to clear up, I'm still coughing like mad and can hardly keep up with the tissues for my nose. Not a great way to spend the holiday season. However, our lovely Milo was out in sympathetic exhaustion with me on Christmas Day,

We had a lovely time at Damian and Moreen's on Christmas Day, it was grand to spend the day with them and the Pets.

Anyhoo, that's me for now, I've enjoyed my break from Blogging, mind you, I was not in the right frame of mind and had no energy to do any logging. Scheduling this post for Sunday, take care everyone and see you soon,
