Your Dreams!

Hello Everyone,  I hope you've had a good day and that you're keeping well.

We really enjoyed the Pipe Band competition on Saturday, but boy was it hot, too hot really for me, my head is still tender where it got burnt.

It was good to see so many band there, although there wasn't the 200 as was expected, however there was a rail strike on. Lots of youngsters playing, I think that's wonderful, in some cases their instruments were bigger than they were. I don't know who won, we had to leave before the end, need to buy the local paper to find out.

My card is another fairy one;

Mixing my stamps once again. The fairy is from Chocolate Baroque, the dragon and sentiment stamps are from Lavinia, Card-io branches and little flowers, Oxides, Pan Pastels, Posca Pens and Gold Gel pen.

Just a view of the envelope which are all Lavinia stamps.

I am just loving doing there fairy cards, and finding that the different brands really go well together.

Just a short post tonight, enjoy your evening, and keep safe, cheerio for now,

Santa's Sleigh for the CCC

Hello Everyone, I hope all's well with you and your weekend is going well.

What fabulous weather we are having, although it's quite windy here, but it was keeping the bit of rain that was forecast away.

We took ourselves to the European Pipe band Championships that were being held in Inverness. I do like a good pipe band and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

So, two weeks have past by and it's time for the Christmas Card Club ladies to show their cards, and this time it's my choice which is Santa's Sleigh or Anything Goes.

Card-io stamps once again and I've used one of my favourite sets, Star Struck, but this time it's the Star the animal friends are watching but, Santa flying across the sky. The stars and the grass are from Lavinia and the sentiment is a Woodware one. The moon is coloured with Pan Pastels. Gel pens and glitter to embellish. I only managed one this time.

Have a look at what the other girls  make, their cards are always fabulous.

That's me for now, I'm scheduling this post for tomorrow for when the challenge goes live, so till next time take care and see you soon,

New Home!

Hello Friends and Visitors, I hope you are keeping well and enjoying these lovely sunny days. We've been a bit overcast today, but still pretty warm.

Just keeping a this to a short post today, and I have a New Home card for a friend to show you,

The main focus of the card is Harietta's House from Lavinia Stamps, now Harietta is a fairy, as if you didn't know lol and I've coloured it up with water colours. All the other stamps are from Card-io, and the sentiment is from Besotted stamps. DI  to make the background and a dark purple card. Gel pens for a bit of sparkle.

I have to say, I'm loving mixing my Lavinia stamps with the Card-io ones, they go so well together.

The envelope has a Chocolate Baroque stamp in the corner.

Thank you for leaving your lovely comments, I do appreciate them, but I had a senior moment the other night where I deleted all my comments...yes everyone of them has disappeared and I can't get them back, probably all the way back to when I started the blog. I'm so sorry about that and just goes to show, you shouldn't try to to things of a techy nature when you're dog tired.

That's me for now, cheerio and keep safe,

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my previous card, always appreciated.

Let it Snow for the CCC!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are having a great weekend with some decent weather. We have one heck of a blustery day here but at least the rain is holding off.

It's the Christmas Card Club Challenge again, these must be the quickest two weeks ever, and it's our lovely Rachel's turn to choose the theme and it's Let it Snow, or, Anything goes.

Here is what I've managed,

Just for a change I've used Card-io stamps....lol

I used the bauble stencil and Versacolour ink ,Deer Deer set,

Winter's Kiss, Collection, and Winter Wishes. lots of sparkle and white Posca Paint, Star Dust Gel Pen. I'm really loving decorating the envelopes now, all thanks to Brenda who inspired me with her lovely envelopes.

I'm going to schedule this post for tomorrow Sunday for when the post goes live.

I'm having a rest day tomorrow as it's my Birthday, they come around fast as well. Alistair took us out for a lovely lunch today for it, so I'm fairly stuffed. I was really naughty and had a half portion of Sticky Toffee pudding, and goodness knows what a full portion was like, as I could hardly finish the half portion. Blood sugar will be off the scale, but you have to treat yourself sometime.

Won't do much tomorrow, Damian will be over at some point, so apart from the food shopping in the morning it will be a quiet day, but it'll be a nice one.

So, take care Everyone and see you soon,

Rue Hanging Around!

Hi Everyone, I hope all goes well with you. Already mid week, where did the beginning go??

Well our weather has broken and it's much cooler and raining, still I guess the gardens need the rain. I've put the heating on for a wee while as I was quite chilled.

I've got a card tonight;

Rue is the name of this lovely fairy and it's from Lavinia, the vines, ferns and butterflies are from Card-io.

I've used Distressed Oxides and Gina K stencil. I added white gel pen for highlights and Glamour Dust sparkle.

All Card-io stamps on the envelope.

I really enjoyed making this card, and find that Card-io and Lavinia stamps go very well together, just as well as I've only got this fairy stamp, I must remedy this as they have gorgeous stamps lol.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my last card, most appreciated.

Well, that's me for now,  keep safe and see you soon

If I Had to Live!

Hi Everyone, I hope you are having a good weekend. It's a swelter here, glad I got some housework done this morning as by afternoon my energy was zapped. Hate to say it, but just too hot for me, still lovely to see the bright sunshine.

Just popping in with a card made for a friend's birthday,

This is a stamp I bought years ago from a company called Acid Drops and What Nots. Karen who owned the company drew the images herself and they were all very quirky and fun. The sentiments and corner brackets are all with the set. First Edition paper  and coloured with alcohol markers. Glad to say my friend like it.

My friend Fiona, got in touch today, and she's has quite a rough time from her first bout of treatment, headaches and nausea, not much energy. The treatment is on a three week cycle and she has to have six of them. When she mentioned the word cycle it wasn't in connection with her treatment, and I took it that on her good days she was getting out on her bike, so said that that was good that she was getting out for a cycle. She said that made her chuckle and put me right, I'm such a twit, but at least she got a laugh.

Right, that's me for now, thank you for your lovely comments on my last post, take care of yourselves and see you soon
