Birthday Wishes!

Hello Everyone, I hope your week is going well. It's certainly going fast, midweek already.

This is just a quick post tonight to show a card I made for a friend's birthday a couple of months ago,

This image is a first outing although I've had it for a good few years, it's a stencil from Imagination Crafts and I've used Oxide inks, the sentiment belongs to Lavinia Stamps and I've added a few sequins. On the envelope is an Iris image from CB.

Thank you for the lovely comments left on my CCC card, you are very kind.

Cheerio for now, take care of yourselves,

Blue Christmas or Anything Goes for the CCC!

Hello Everyone, I hope your weekend is going well whatever you're plans are.

It's time once again for the Christmas Card Club to show their latest cards and this time it's Gran Margaret who has chosen the theme of Blue Christmas.

I'm not sure whether this card is showing a Blue Christmas or Anything goes, falls somewhere in between I think, anyway, I've used a stamp and sentiment from Chocolate Baroque's A Tomte Christmas set. The image is stamped in Twilight Blue Versafine Claire ink and coloured with a couple of blue coloured pencils, and some silver gel pen. Lavinia stars, and Card-io moon and cloud stamps.

Background is made using Lavinia Stamps Elements ink, finishing off with Posca Pen splashes and glitter.

Thank you Margaret of the great challenge, I did enjoy it.

Don't forget to have a look at what the other ladies form the team create, their cards are always fabulous.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my previous card, so kind.

That's me for tonight, off the schedule this for tomorrow for when the post goes live. Enjoy your evening,

Magical Summer!

Hello Blogging Friends and Visitors, I hope you are well and not melted away in all this heat.

We've had a bit of a respite this afternoon, a thunder and lightening storm with the most amazing heavy downpour. I watched the dark clouds rolling in then the show began, it was quite dramatic. Alistair had been out for a walk and just made it home before the rain started. It's certainly cleared the air a bit. I did video it and tried to upload it here, but I couldn't manage it, there must be some special way to do it.

Anyway, here's my card,

I'm having fun mixing my stamps from various companies, so this one has a lovely silhouette fairy from Chocolate Baroque, the stamped words and I've are from the same set. The stencil work is from Lavinia Stamps, and the grass and tiny flowers are from Card-io, as are the toadstool and fairies on the envelope. I used Distressed Oxides for colour. Lavinia Glitter on the fairy's wings, Posca Pens and gel pens to do the fine details.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my previous post, you are all so kind.

Well, that's me for now, I hope you are having a lovely weekend, take care of yourselves,

Dandelions and Lavender!

Hello Everyone, I hope all's well and that you've not melted away with all this heat. We are really hot today, but we have some cloud coming in now, but it's not really making it much cooler.

Some areas in England are in quite a pickle with hose bans, at least we don't have that here. We just never get it right in this country, if we have loads of rain, then there's flooding, Autumn leaves falling and snow then the trains have difficulty running, and heat buckles the rails, and causes drought. One wonders how Scandinavian and extremely hot countries manage manage to function. The mind boggles.

Anyway, on to my card,

I've used some Lavinia's latest stamps, open Dandelion and the sentiment, along with Lavender. I made the background with Dilusion Inks and Lavinia's Mystical spray. Posca Splashes and gold gel pens.

This is the first time of using these liquid inks and I think I'll have to do a bit of practise.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments you leave me, they are very much appreciated.

Off now to see about getting dinner ready so that I can sit down and watch Downton Abbey....for the millionth time, I absolutely love it, especially the fashions. So take care and keep cool and see you soon,

Christmas Roses for the CCC!

Hello Everyone, I hope all's well with you and your weekend is good.

It's time for the Christmas Card Club to show their latest cards and this time it's our Valery who has chosen the theme of Christmas Roses, or of course there is always Anything Goes if that suits better. Here is what I've managed;

I've used an old stamp by Chloe and embossed it in silver on velum paper. I embossed my background with another old EF, A Sheena Douglass one I think. Chocolate Baroque for the sentiment and a Sharpie silver pen along the edges. I felt it didn't need anything else by way of embellishments.

I hope this will do Valery, thank you so much for the challenge, I did enjoy making this card.

Remember to keep an eye out for the other CCC members' cards they are always worth seeing.

Just a short post today, and thank you once again for all the lovely comments you leave, take care of yourselves,

Mae!

Hello Blogging Friends and Visitors, I hope you are doing well and that your new week has got off to a good start.

The weeks are going by so quickly, I can hardly believe that we are now into August, and you can see the nights are getting darker earlier now, although having said that, up here in the Highlands it hardly gets all that dark.

Anyhoo, I have a little card for you today,

All stamps are from Lavinia and this lovely fairy is one of the latest stamps and her name is Mae. Stamped in Versafine Claire in Warm Breeze. I've also used the mini orbs, Lavender and Fairy Charms. Background was a cut off piece of card with Distressed Oxides. I've used gel pen in Clearstar too.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last post, I really do appreciate the time it takes you all to visit and leave the comment.
Well off to check the oven and see how the cooking is getting on, I want to be sitting down to diner in time for Downton Abbey.  Take care of yourselves and see you soon,
