House and Dragonfly!

 Hello Everyone, I hope all is good for you and that your weekend  has been enjoyable. We have has a beautiful day up weather wise, long may it last.

Well not only do we have football, but now the Tour de France, which I don't mind. two dreadful crashes yesterday, one caused by a spectator, hold a big sign at the edge of the road. I'm pleased to hear that the French Police are looking for her in order to sue. You get some numpties don't you.

Anyway, I have another page for you,

This is from Maria Trolle's Nightfall, and all was going well until I tried to do a background with Neo colours, didn't work so tried to put DI on it. Oh well live and learn. I need more practice with these mediums. As  I coloured this page away back in March, I can't remember what pencils I used.

Here is the lovely book the page is from.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my last coloured page.

Thank you too for your help in setting up Follow.it, I've managed to get something up on my side bar, but I don't know if it works. I've given up worrying about it though.

That's me for tonight, keep yourselves safe and see you soon,

A Summer Floral Wreath!

Hello Crafting Friends and Visitors, how are things with you, good I hope. We have lots of sunshine and more heat than the last few days which is good. Alistair has been getting on with painting jobs outside, whilst I've been to my aqua class, and boy does it tire me out, but I'm sure there's a benefit.

We had a lovely lunch out with Damian and Moreen on Saturday, catching up on the their and my birthday celebrations, it was lovely to do something normal again, lovely food and a great catch up, especially with Moreen and a first hug in a long, long time.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last cards for the CCC, really appreciated.

I have a finished coloured page;

This lovely floral wreath is from Rita Berman's My Summer Walk and I've used various makes of coloured pencils, I was finding it difficult to find a brand that suited the paper, finally settling on Derwent Coloursoft. Added Stickles for sparkle.

Well, that's me for today, I hope you like my picture, take care of yourselves, and see you soon,

Music for the CCC!

 Hello Everyone, where did the last two weeks go to??? You know the weeks where there was no Football!!!  Anyhoo, Germany has just scored another goal making that 4 as I'm sitting here typing this, so I guess that's Portugal saying cheerio, unless Ronaldo can do his magic.

So, it's time for the CCC to show their latest themed cards and this time that's been chosen by Elizabeth and it's Music, here is what I've managed,

I used some paper from an older Papermania pad which has a musical score and a lovely poinsettia, I cut out one of the other blooms and decoupaged it, then added some gems and sequins. The sentiment is from Chocolate Baroque. Layered and matted onto gold glitter card and red card, job done. Thank you so much Elizabeth for this lovely challenge, I did enjoyed it and I knew at once what I would do, of course that all depended on finding this paper pad, which I did.

Remember to look at what my CCC teamies create there are always wonderful cards.

I've been trying to sign up to Follow.it.com without success, I get so far than I'm asked to claim my blog and I become unstuck. I also remember back in the day when Blogger talked about ending Blogger and quite a few of us signed up to Bloglovin, I think I did too, but I can't find my blog on it, although I'm sure someone said they followed me on it. Once again, I just can't claim my blog. It asks for an RSS feed...not a clue, If anyone can give me a pointer I'd be grateful. I must be an awful dummy and don't know how I ever set up this blog in the first place. I'd hate to have to stop blogging but it might come to that. I just wish Blogger would leave well alone.

On that disgruntled note, thank you for all your lovely comment on my last coloured page, and take care everyone and enjoy your weekend,

A Summer Garden!

 Hello Everyone, Friday already, I feel as if this week has flown by. I hope you are well and looking forward to the weekend, do you have any plans?  Hopefully you'll enjoy them whatever they are. I think it's to be  really hot weather too.

Well, I'll be a year older tomorrow eek.... 68 years young, Alistair thought I was 66, if only lol. No plans, just a chillin day.

Anyway, here is another coloured page;

I just love this page and wanted to colour it up the minute I saw it. It,s from Rita Berman's Summer Walk book and I've used Black Widow pencils, however they didn't suit the papers so added a few Steadler Ergosoft pencils too, which were marginally better. Matching pencils to paper is so important for the end result, I'm finding all these things out as I'm getting into colouring with coloured pencils. Here is the lovely book this page is from,

This is little picture is the first page of the book, I think it's a lovely little image.

Just before I sign off, I want to thank you for the lovely comments you left on my New Home card, as always your words are very kind..

Oh no Alistair has found the football on the telly Grrrr!!!

Take care of yourselves,

New House!

 Hello Everyone, I hope you are all doing well and enjoying this lovely spell of good weather.

Just a short post from me to day to show a card made for our neighbours who have now moved to their new house;

I found another LOTV Art Pad picture which I thought was just perfect for the occasion, matted it on to deep pink card and then some glitter card, and found some matching paper for the background. Sentiment is also LOTV.
It feels strange hearing no sound coming from next door, but it was a good move for them.
Thank you for your continued visits and comments, I always appreciate them.
For now take care and I'll see you soon,

Baubles and Decorations for the CCC!

 Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and that you are having a good weekend.  It's been another lovely day, quite hot, in fact just a tad too hot for me to sit out, so I just got on with some housework. I even managed a bit of a tidy and clean up in my craftroom, but it's just shown up how much more I need to do......all in good time.

It's time once again for the Christmas Card Club's latest cards, where did that last two weeks go to???

Anyhoo, the choice was made by our lovely Shaz, who sadly past away a few months ago, and she has chosen Baubles and Decorations, here is what I managed;

We have plenty of baubles on this lovely embossing folder. I embossed some platinum card and matted it on to some blueberry coloured card from SU. The folder I've had for yonks and I can't remember it's make. I then added some gems.

This is a Woodware stamp, which I've heat embossed with WOW blue glitter embossing powder. matted it on to blue glitter card, then on to an embossed card. The folder is one of Sheena Douglass's. I coloured the bauble in Copics, then to finish I added gems.

This card is made up from a Studio Light die cut sheet I bought in the Works the other year, just a question of punching out the die shapes and sticking them on a card, I've added a few gems and a little Stickles.

Finally, this is an upcycled card and just perfect for our challenge.

I did enjoy this challenge and got to use some stash I've had for a while, I wish I could thank Shaz, it was a super challenge.

That's me for now, time to schedule this post for tomorrow, Sunday for when the CCC goes live.

Cheerio, and thank you for the lovely comments on my coloured picture, take care,

Anyone for Tea!

 Hello To Everyone, I hope you are all well and have had a good day. Our weather has been wonderful for a few days, very high temperatures. We went a trip to Ullapool yesterday, lovely fish supper sitting on the pier, and thankfully not as busy as I thought it would be.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciate all your comments.

I have a coloured page today;

This lovely page is from one of Rita Berman's wonderful books and roughly translated from German is Under the microscope on the Land.
I used Crayola colour pencils and the odd bit of gel pen and some Stickles. It was a lovely illustration to colour, and I have to say that the budget pencils coloured it beautifully. Hope you like it
A short post tonight, I've got a bit of catching up with your blogs to do, so take care every one and see you soon,
