Robin and Snowdrop!

Good Saturday Morning to you all, I hope your are all well and looking forward to your weekend.  I am my very own Ray Meares will be home this evening full of wonderful stories, most embellished I have to say, but nevertheless alway entertaining.  He'll be awfully stinky though, after  camping for a week.

It's been quite a quick week for me, sometimes the time drags by when Alistair is away, but not this time, maybe my wee trip the Glasgow broke the week up, and I've managed to get quite a bit of card making done.

I would like to welcome  Maarit, my latest follower to the fold, thank you for joining me on my blogging experience, I hope you will enjoy my bits and pieces posted on here.

Thanks too to everyone who has left comments all very encouraging and kind, and especially to Val from Spain, if you are back again Val, Hello.  I looked to see if you have a blog I could visit, but what I got up was a Circles thingy, which I'm afraid I don't understand as I don't do that, but if you have a blog, or if any of my other lovely friends know Val maybe you could help.

I've a fair amount to do today in the house, I'm afraid I've let things slip, but do I care, not a jot, but some things need attending and I guess I'd better fill the food cupboards too, a chore I hate, but eat we must.

I have a little card for you today and it's using one of Little Claire's new Christmas Stamps;
LC Robin and Snowdrop Stamp
LOTV Sentiment
Prismacolour Pencils
Kraft card
LOTV Classic Christmas Paper
Core;dinations card
Die'sire embossilisious Holiday Holly folder
Die'sire Wrought Iron Fence Die
Hobbycraft Gold Lace and flowers

Ribbon and Gems from my box
Glamour Dust

This design wasn't what I had in mind when I started out, but as usual I was trying to be too clever and I couldn't get it to work, hence this one in the end, but it's not too bad.

Off now to get started, I do hope you have a good weekend, see you soon

Wee Three Kings and a Little Camel!

Hello to You All, back again after a wonderful girly day out in Glasgow, all by myself, and I managed not to spend too much, even in John Lewis.  I went by the Gold Bus service in which you are given refreshments and sandwiches, shortbread, pancakes, and other comestibles to while away the almost 4hours journey and . I got a bit of reading  and knitting done too, a long day though and although I enjoyed it I was glad to be home.

With this I'm a bit behind with your blogs, but I've tried to get around most.
Thank you all so much for your very lovely comments on my last card and can you imagine my surprise when I was alerted by Ang of "The Ducks Doodahs" that I had been Daily Talented Spotted at Joanna Sheen's Blog Challenge,  I was delighted.

I had a phone call on Tuesday night from Alistair to say what a wonderful time he and Ian are having in Orkney, decent weather, and camp site and visiting all the sights. They will be home on Saturday night and it will be good to have him back.

Here is my offering today;
Now I don't really do religious Christmas cards, but I do have a couple of friends who are religious so I try to do something for them, and I think this lovely LOTV image is just so sweet and reminds me of times gone by when we had Nativity Plays at school.
LOTV ready coloured image
LOTV Frosty Christmas and Krafty Christmas
Core'dinations Card
LC Tag Sentiment
MB Border and  Corner dies
Gems and Ribbon from my box
Star Dust for a little sparkle

So, that's me for another day which has been really nice, I met up for a coffee with Wendy, Confessions of a Papersniffer and her mum and her friend Fiona, it's good to catch up. Now it's a relaxing evening with the knitting, so bye for now and have a good evening.

Grace busy Knitting!

Hello Everyone and I hope you have had a good beginning to your week and that you are all doing fine, and for those who aren't, well I'm sending hugs and good wishes that you will feel better soon.

Thank you once again for all your kind comments yesterday and I'm pleased you liked the card.

We had a good rehearsal last night and although that is us returned for two weeks now there are still new people joining the Choral Society, it's great but I wonder how we will all get on the stage come concert time.
We are doing a mixture of pieces this time around, to celebrated the Royal Jubilee Handle's Coronation Anthems have been pulled out and of course this is the suite which has the wonderful Zadok the Priest.  I know this one well but not the other 3 pieces.
Quite a few of the other pieces are completely new to most of us, but one I recognised as having heard before, not having sung though and I wracked my brain to remember, and then during the wee small hours it flashed up as a piece which is used in The Vicar of Dibly called As Torrents in Summer by Elgar. It's really quite a beautiful song.

I popped in to visit my son today, he is on holiday and I wanted to let him read the letter from the OH doctor, and I found him getting ready to take one of their cats to the vets to have two teeth removed, poor Poppy, however poor Damian too as it's to cost £350.  What a cost, but when you've pets they have to be looked after, but when they were quoted this Damian just about bit the reception's head off and said Moreen had been at the dentist the day before for a filling and it only cost £9. 25, Moreen is his Partner by the way.  I can just imagine his indignation about the cost, he says what he thinks and doesn't care who he says it too.  I wonder who he takes that from!!

So on to my card;
This little lady is one of Daisy's friends and is called Grace and you can find her on "Daisy and Friends CD from Joanna Sheen.
Prismacolour Pencils
Gingham paper also from CD
Centura Pearl Card
First Edition Sweet Owl Papers
Xcut die shapes
WO Blooms
Ribbon Girl Doily and Pearls
Hobbycraft  Pink Lace and Skein of yarn, pins for knitting pins
Stamp-Australia Sentimental Swirls Sentiment
Glamour Dust for a little sparkle

I bought this CD quite a while ago, and this is the first time I've used it, I must have seen it on C&C with Sheena demonstrating and thought I must have that, and there are some lovely little characters in it, but I don't really have all that many little ones to make cards for, so it probably wasn't a sensible buy.
I bought up everything when I first stared crafting and if I had to count the cost I would be horrified, especially of all the bits and pieces I never use. Nevertheless I enjoyed making this card, it's very pink and girly, not something I do much of, but I hope you like it.

Time for something to eat now and I think it's going to be Macaroni cheese, so have a good evening everyone.

Game Playing!

Hello to Everyone and I do hope you have all enjoyed the Bank Holiday and have had some lovely weather.
It has been a glorious day up here, blue skies all the way.  I did however think there was the beginnings of an Autumnal feel first thing this morning whilst waiting for the bus,  the air seemed fresher.
Thank you all for your lovely comments on my last card, I love reading them.

Just a short post today as  I have to go and get organised for choral practise later on, we started back last week, and the first few weeks are always intense when learning new pieces.  Unfortunately I have a stonker of a headache and my eyes are nipping, don't know what that's about, but I have to go.

I've a card that I made a wee while a go that has found it's way to Lewis who is Alistair's son;
I've had the elements for this for a while and I don't remember whose it is but it is decoupaged and matted on to a piece of Core'dinations embossed with a TH embossing folder in wood effect. Papers were from a magazine a couple of years ago and card candy.

The card wasn't made for anyone in particular but, Alistair liked it and thought it would do for him to write a note to his son.   He lives in London and we don't hear from him all that often, so this is how his dad keeps in touch, not too intrusive a method.

I an off now to make my diner, cheated and bought a Sweet and Sour Chicken meal from Markies, with egg fried rice, oh I know how to live when Alistair is off playing.
Cheerio for now
Hugs Kate x

Ho Ho Ho!

Hello Fellow Crafty Bloggers, and I hope that you have enjoyed your day.  I have enjoyed the sunshine that's been here in Inverness, and really warm, may be a bit on the muggy side, but no sign of rain as yet.

Thanks so much for all the lovely comments left about my last card, I've even had a couple of new visitors who left kind words, which is just great, cos then I can pop into see you and what you make.  I've enjoyed visiting your blogs and seeing some really wonderful creations on my journey, this is the great and wonderful thing about Blogland, you get to go all over the world and meet people.

I spent the day finishing off my card and here it is;
Sorry about the photo, the light is hitting off the silver card.

Sparkly Blue Tree!

Hi Everyone, Hoping everyone is enjoying their Saturday whatever it happens to be.  I'm not doing all that much as I am rather tired today owing to the fact that, I didn't want Alistair to sleep in as he had to be away from the house just after 6am to get to the train station and he was cycling and this meant that he had to be up a 5am., that being the case I slept fitfully, but off he went in time and will be by now in Orkney and will have the tent up and be thinking about food.  I do hope his weather is good because yesterday was very poor up there.
Anyway, tired as I say but still managed to get a card made.

Thank you all once again for the many kind comment on yesterday's card, and today I've been trying my hand again at the embossing and gilding, so here goes;
Now the light was hitting it a bit so I don't think the photo is great, and it looks like there is too much gilding on one side but in the flesh, so to speak, it's fairly even, I've used;
Chloe Tree Stamp
Wow embossing powder in Nice Ice Blue
SB embossing Folder
Creative Expressions Gilding Wax, Pearl Moon
Die'sire Sentimentals Happy Holidays Sentiment, embossed with Wow
Papermania Velvet Ribbon

I took the executive decision to not put any gems or pearls on it as I felt the love tree in the fab sparkly blue was enough.
I don't think it's turned out too badly, but I've a ways to go with the old bit heat embossing, but I tell you what, I could get hooked on the smell of the gilding wax.

Have a good evening and I'll see you soon, off to find a G&T now
Hugs Kate x

Forever Friends!

Hello Blogging Buddies, gosh another weekend looms ahead, isn't life just flying by!!
I hope everyone is well, and hugs to those who are not too good.

I would like to thank everyone who has commented on my last card, you are all very kind, and not only about my creation but also for the supportive words regarding my visit with OH.  Just a little update there- I received the Dr. letter today, I requested they send me a copy before it goes to my employers, and I am very happy with what she has recommended, my employers won't be.  As usual for me after stressful meeting i fail to remember just what was said, but it is very clear that she listened to everything I had to say. She has even stated that my chronic condition is covered by the Disability  Equality Act, and mentions the legality of this by Employment Tribunal, all words that are music to my ears.
My next step is to talk to CAB to find out what happens if my employers are not in a position to change things and or, not willing to.  But the good thing is that I'm so stressed by it all, and there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm  being abandoned for the next week, Alistair is off on the Traditional Week Away With Ian, and this time it's a cycle around the Orkney's.  They're off tomorrow on the 7 o'clock train up to Thurso to then catch the ferry.  They pair of them really enjoy this time away, and no doubt planning will begin from next years hols.  At least he can go and not be worried about me now this letter has arrived, and I feel a piece of beautiful Orkney jewellery on it's way back.  I love Sheila Fleet's designs and I keep pointing them out to him, but they are too pricey really.
I've not made many plans for my week, but I'm thinking I might book the Gold Bus to Glasgow for the day.  The worlds' my oyster!!

My card today used one of my most favourite LOTV stamps;
Isn't this image so lovely, it reminds me of Damian, my son, when he was a wee boy and our little Cavalier King Charles spaniel called Tramp, who were inseparable and the best of friends.

Coloured with Promarkers
Prisma colour Pencils
Core'dination Card distressed
Papermania Wellington Papers distressed
Kraft card base
Marianne foliage die
MB Clouds
Buttons, twine and Star Dust to embellish
I could have coloured the wee dog better I think, but never mind I still like my finished look.
 That's my contribution to Blogland for today, I hope you all have a lovely weekend what every you have planned and the weather keeps good,

Hugs Kate x

An Autumn Card!

Hello Blogging Friends, I hope all is well with you and sending good wishes and hugs out to those of you who are not doing so well.

Thank you to all who commented on my last card, very kind of you and I love to read them.

I've not managed to post anything for a few days, although I have tried to follow and comment on your blogs, sorry if I missed a few, I'm afraid that my mind has been a bit all over the place thinking about the Occupational Health meeting that was happening.
Well, it happened yesterday and on the whole it went OK in as much as the Dr. listened to what I had to say and even gave me an opening to talk about an issue that I would have struggled to introduce myself.  I was so glad that Alistair was with me, his presence kept me fairly calm, although he said he could see that I was shaking every time I lifted my glass of water for a drink.

So the outcome is that there are a few recommendations to make changes for me at my work and to have a fairly long phased return.  I have reservations about my work actually making these changes but at least I have medical backup.  The Dr. seemed to be astounded by the worker to workload ratio and could see why I had been so stressed.  I will be returning to work mid September, and hopefully there will be changes made for me, but if not, well, that's another ball game.

I'm feeling much better now that this meeting is over, although I have to go back for a review in 2 months time.  It's not the outcome i would have wanted, but hey ho, folk with open heart surgery are getting sent back to work after a few weeks now, and I'm no where near that sort of condition.

My card today;
This little creation was inspired by Creative Stamping magazine and it using the free stamps that came aalong with it.  The design is the same as the one in the magazine by Kim Dellow, I just put my little twist on it.
I have stamped the background with various ink pads in Autumn shades. Base card is Kraft and the background papers are Nitwits Country Lady from LOTV. Twin and buttons from my box.

I've never made a background with stamping and I must try more as it's really effective.  It's a really simple card, but I like it, I've left it bling free for a change.

I will love you and leave you now and hope you have a good evening,
Hugs Kate x

Santa is Coming!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all having a great weekend, what ever you have planned.  Whilst reading through your blog post I noticed that there are one or two of you off on your hols. I do hope you have a lovely time, and return home feeling relaxed and with batteries recharged.

Thanks so much for all the lovely comments on my last card, I enjoy reading them.

Quite blustery here today, with heavy showers at times, but as I wasn't too far afield and had no washing out the weather didn't bother me.  We are going for a drive to Ullapool tomorrow and I think the weather is to be better.  It's such a lovely drive up, beautiful scenery, and the best of all a fab fish restaurant where where will have our tea.

Not a lot of news, I've been doing battle with both laptop and tablet and getting so frustrated by them.  The laptop is fairly old now and freezes, drives me made, I've to put the thing off and start all over again.  As for the tablet, well to be fair, it's really my blogger dashboard that is not uploading, can't get to sign in.  My own blog page is fine, it's just that I can't access all your blogs in order to comment.  This was one of the reasons I bought the tablet, so I could be following you all when I went upstairs and away from the laptop.  So if anyone out there knows what the problem might be, I would be obliged if you could let me know.  However, it's not the end of the world, just inconvenient.

My card for you today;

    I've been trying to do some different things, I'm not all that sure if I'm succeeding, no doubt you'll let me know.  So here I've been trying to make an inky sky and create a little Christmas scene.

Crafter's Companion,Embossalicious I Believe Embossing folder
Die'sire Snowy Village Die
Die'sire Sentementals Rubber stamps set, Jingle Bells
SB Snowflake and Petite Die
Distressed Ink Pads in various shades of blue
Expressive Creations Gilding Wax Midnight , over Santa and reindeer,( not sure why, seemed a good idea at the time)
Gems, pearls and Ribbon from my box
Anyway it will do somebody for Christmas.

That's me for today, I'm going to sit and knit tonight, it will soon be time for socks and I've some on the pins.

Enjoy the remainder of your Saturday
Hugs Kate x

CCAYR Midway Reminder....Fussy and Fancy

Good Evening Blogging Friends, I hope you are all well and have had a good day.

Thank you all for your lovely comments about my Michael Powell card yesterday, very much appreciated.

This is just going to be a very quick post as Alistair is wanting on to the computer to email his pals about the next trip away, the man never stops.  How ever he did fore go his cycle today as he came with me to the eye clinic and we were so long, what a busy department, that it was too late to go out, and now it looks like it will downpour.

My eyes are fine, thankfully, I had them scanned and although there is damage nothing to worry about, and the consultant thought that the Diabetic Dept. were erring on the side of caution in referring me to him.  What a time we were in there though over 3 hours and half the time my vision was so blurred because of the eyedrops I couldn't read. poor Alistair fell asleep, it was so hot.

Here is my inspiration piece for CCAYR;
I've used, Chloe Stamp
Wow, Silver Embossing Powder
De'sire Sentimentals, Crafter's Companion Sentiment
Blue and Silver Glitter card
SB Corners from Frosty Forms
Tonic Snowflake Punch
Blue Gems from my stash

These Chloe stamps are just wonderful and it only took me 4 goes with the embossing to get it right, I'm getting better.
Anyway folks, why not join us at

http://christmascardsallyearround.blogspot.co.uk/ , do pop over and see the other DT creations, there is still time to get your entry in.
That's all folks, have a good evening.
Hugs Kate x

Sunny Days!

Hello and Good Evening, I hope everyone has had a good day whatever you've gotten up to and that you're well.

IT been a lovely day here, very warm, although we did have a very heavy shower of rain in the late afternoon and thankfully Alistair noticed and brought the washing in, clever man that he is.

I've been busy today doing lots of other things but crafting.  I've kept putting off sort of admin things, for ages and now feel I've got to deal with them, but it means sitting at the computer and phone and filing away documents. Hate it.

I'm off to see an eye specialist tomorrow as I have some diabetic damage to my eyes and it's got to a stage where treatment might be needed, and when I was at the optician yesterday he told me that I have the beginnings of cataracts, life just gets better!!!.  However, It is good that these things get picked up really quickly nowadays.  I was astounded to learn not so long ago that way back, before so much was known about diabetes, that the life expectancy was around 2-3 years.  I'd be long gone.

Anyway enough of that here is my card which is a few weeks old and one I made for a friend's son who has landed back in hospital,
I wanted to try and lift his spirits and I thought this was a good card as he lives in a seaside village, and I do want life to be sunny for him again, he's such a lovely young man.
Michael Powell Stamp
Prismacolour Pencils
Sentiment also from a Michael Powell card Kit
Kraft card
Core'dinations
Riverbank Revels Paper
Card Candy
Just a simple card really, but I hope it cheered me up

All for tonight folks, and thank you  for visiting and leaving all the wonderful comments not only on my cards, but the good wishes for my OH meeting next week, I feel very supported.

Hugs Kate x

Best Friends!

Hello to You All, and I hope you are well.

I would like to give a warm welcome to a new follower, Chrisie, lovely to have you here and I hope you will like what you see, and thank you all for the lovely comments and taking the time to visit.

Not been too bad a day here, a bit overcast at times, a little warmer, but I wore a cardie just in case.
My adventurer had returned safe and sound having had a wonderful time, I do worry when he's away, he is 67 after all with a hip replacement and although he tells me he does'nt take any risks, he friends have always let things slip so I know that he does.  Can't stop him though, it's what he does and he's been doing it since the age of 11.

I've got my OH appointment at last and it's next week, thankfully Alistair will still be here, he's going to the Orkneys for a week and I thought it would be sod's law if the date landed then.  I wanted someone with me for support as I get all tangled at things like this and this is so important as I hope the outcome will assess me as being unfit to do what I'm being asked to do at work and which has been causing the stress. Alistair will come along and take notes for me.  I'm busy getting everything I want the Dr. to know about written down, and boy is it some list.

My card tonight;

This image come from http://nicecranedesigns.com/  and It's from the Asian Kids range of images.  I think they are so lovely.

I've matted and layered on to Core'dinations and Papermania, Oriental Treasures Paper
Papermania Sentiment
MB Fabulous Phlox
Hobby House Pearls
Glamour Dust.

I felt that the image didn't need too meany embellishments, but the MB flower soes reflect the floral artwork in the paper.

So that's my little contribution for tonight, I hope you have a pleasant evening and see you soon

Hugs Kate x

Celtic Fairy!

Good Evening Everyone, hoping you are all well, and good wishes and hugs to those who are not so good.

I have spent the day feeling really quite cold, I had to go out for an eye test this afternoon and I was wishing I'd put socks on, and I am really trying hard to resist putting the heating on. Is anyone else feeling the change in the weather.  Early morning is beginning to feel quite Autumnal.

Thank you one and all for all the lovely comments on my last card and I would like to offer a warm welcome to my latest follow John, it's lovely to have you aboard.

I'm making this a short post tonight so without further ado, here is my card;
Oh dear it's a wee bit blurred,
Ah, the closeups' a little better, my image is from http://deliciousdoodles.blogspot.co.uk/  where there are beautiful images drawn by Teri.  I won at Lili's Little Fairies a few weeks ago and my prize was digi stamps from Delicious Doodles and this was one of my chosen four. Please visit her blog as see all her wonderful images.

Now why I decided to use this colour combination is anyones guess, and if anyone can guess, would you please let me know as I'm quite baffled.

Promarkers
Core'dinations Card
Kanban Vintage Tapestry Paper
Kraft Card embossed with SB Flora embossing folder and gilded with Creative Expressions Golden Lilac wax
SB Decorative Lables 22
LOTV Sentiment
Crafty Individuals Bird Die, heat embossed with Wow Embossing Powder
Hobby House Pearls and flower
Ribbon Girl, Seam Binding
Glamour Dust

I can honestly say I've never had as much hair to colour, it was quite daunting to say the least and, as she is Celtic I felt it should be sort of red, thankfully, a You Tube tutorial came to the rescue, but it took me ages to do, I hope it looks ok. Unfortunately the way the glamour dust is showing on it, she looks as if she's going grey, but maybe faries do  who knows.

Anyhow Folks, I hope you like her, and thank for your visit, I'm off to make a hot drink and get into my gownie, Good Night.
Hugs Kate x

A Christmas Carol!

Hello to You All, I hope today finds you well and having a lovely Sunday.
It has turned out really unpleasant here weather wise, stared off not to badly in the morning with some warm sunshine, but has deteriorated as the day went along, now its raining, dull and a bit cold.  I put a whirrlie of towels out this morning, but I'm afraid they will just be left now, in the hope that tomorrow is better.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my 21st card, very kind, I'm sometimes not all that sure of the embellishments and feel that I'm a bit OTT.

Well Alistair is a way for a couple of days with his friend Ken doing what big-little boys do.  He was up at crack of dawn to get packed, and his excitement was palpable, Ken wasn't coming for him till midday.
All the gear, or should I say toys that were being packed was incredible, but all needed "just in case".

They had some job fitting it all into Ken's Discovery, and the best of it was that he was picking his mum up from the train station, so where she was to go with her luggage is anyones guess. Oh, Ken's mum was'nt going with them, he was dropping her home on their way to the West Coast.  Between climbing ropes, wetsuites, the teepee, food, musical instuments and goodness knows what else, they drove off as happy as sandboys getting out to play.

So on to my card;
LOTV A Christmas Carol stamp, this is one of the latest images to be launched
Prismacolour Pencils
Core'dinations Card
Silver Mirri
Dovecraft Tis the Season  Paper
LOTV Sentiment.
Sheet music, my own
Dovecraft Ribbon
Brad, Pearls and Gems from my box
Liquid Pearls
Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels, Snow

I think this is such a sweet image, and I know I had such a difficult time choosing which of the new stamps to have as they are all lovely.

That's my contribution for tonight, enjoy the rest of your Sunday
Hugs, Kate x

Weeping Geisha!

Good Evening Everyone, I hope today has been a good one for you, with some warm sunny weather.  We have had a really lovely day here in Inverness, a complete change from yesterday.

Thank you all so much for the very kind comments left about my last card, I do appreciate that you all take time to leave some words of inspiration and encouragement.

I've had the day to myself as Alistair was away in the mountains, so I had a crafty day, which included knitting, sadly my knitting is getting put to one side these days as my card making is taking over, and I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with all the cards as the craft fair that I was going to do in November has fallen through but I don't stop making them.

Anyway, I sat down in the afternoon with my knitting to watch The Robe. Now this is a film I've watched countless times and even know the dialogue at the right places, sad or what, but I enjoyed it.

I have a card for you;
I was very lucky to be given  the opportunity to choose some free images by the lovely Ignacio from http://nicecranedesigns.com/  and this one comes from the range called Asian Ladies.

I love Oriental images and when I saw this range I thought got to have that.
I've used, Papermania Oriental Treasures paper, Velum and Sentiment
Core'dinations
Crafter's Companion, Pearl Centura Card
Silver Mirri
Wild Orchid Flowers
Hobby House Pearls
Ribbon and Dove from my box
Glamour Dust

I think this image is my favourite, I think she is weeping hence my post title.
I hope Ignacio will think I've done her justice .

That's all from me tonight, thanks for visiting me
Hugs Kate x

Feeding Robins!

Hello Everyone and hoping you are all well and have had a good day whatever you have been doing.

Thank you all who left lovely comments on my little bags. It was fun doing them and I was delighted that they were like by Dale and Amanda.

Dale asked me to make a 21st card for her step-granddaughter, and that is what I've been doing for most of the day. I have to have it ready to post down within the next couple of days, yeah she didn't give me much time for something so special, and you know what it's like, you have Masses of stash, but of course not what is required for the card that is planned.  I had to take myself off to the craft shops this morning hunting for feathers, thankfully I found some. I don't make many age cards and so didn't have numbers either.  Should have it finished tomorrow though.

My card tonight is made with one of the lovely stamps from LOTV's latest launch for Christmas.
I think this is such a lovely image and was my first choice when I saw the stamps.
Prismascolour Pencils
Kraft card base
Bazzil Card
LC Sentiment
Gold mirri
Dovecraft Tis the Season Paper
Xcut Star and Small Scalloped Circle dies
Gold Ribbon from stash
Pearls and Red Gems from Dovecraft Tis the Season range
Gold Gems from stash
Liquid pearls
Gold Stickles

Alistair is out tonight to the Astronomical Society's meeting, some Prof. from Jordrel Bank giving a talk, it sounded very interesting, but better than that, I get control of the telly zapper.

Have a good evening and see you soon,
Hugs Kate x

Little Gift Bags!

Hello Blogging Friends, I hope today finds you all well.
We had a lovely few days with our friends Dale and Stewart, it was full of laughter and good food, and just a little too much wine.  It was great to catch up with all their news and to see their daughter Amanda and grandson Kerr.  Stewart took Alistair off to a jazz night on Friday and Dale and I sat and blethered and put the world to rights, this is where the wine came in.
So I've returned home with my spirits lifted and batteries recharged.

Thank you all so much for the very kind comments on my last creation, and sorry not to have got round all your blogs whilst I was away, I'm sure I've missed heaps but it was just not possible to spend as much time as I would at home touring around them.

I'm showing you the two little gift bags I made to put some goodies into to give to Dale and Amanda;
 For Amanda's bag I used Creative Expressions Antique Dress Forms Stamp Set, won  from Sue Wilson's comment game. Amanda like her mum is a sewer so I thought this was just perfect for her and I used Creative Expressions Embossing Powder to heat emboss.
SB, Floral Ovals
Sewing Machine charm and purple Seam Binding, The Ribbon Girl
Country Companion Paper, and Papermania, Green Gems
Bag from Hobby craft.

Dale's bag has paper from Kanban Vintage Tapestry
Core'dination card
Gothic Border die
SB Medallion seven die
White Seam Binding, and Dazzler, The Ribbon Girl
Sentiment, Papermania
Pearls and Dove from my box
Hobby craft Bag
As they both love candles and fancy soaps that's what I put into the bags and were very well received.

Well that's me for another day, off now to bring in the washing, hopefully it will be dry.
Have a good evening and see you soon

Hugs Kate x

Chrisrmas Extravaganza! CCAYR DT Card

Hello Everyone, I hope today finds you all fit and well and enjoying your day.

Thank you all so much for your very kind comments on my Daylily Beth card of yesterday, I just love reading them.
I would like to say a warm welcome to Ignacio from;   http://nicecranedesigns.com/ who has chosen to follow my blog.  Please pop over to her website and have a look at all her wonderful art work.

I'm having a  little break from crafting for a few days as we are going down to visit with our friends Dale and Stewart.  I've been feeling myself begining to get a bit low, so it's time for some cheering up.  I've become really aware that being off work with stress is equally as stressful as being in the job which stresses you in the first place, bit of a catch 22 really.  Alistair has almost to push me out of the door as i seem to think that I should be stuck indoors just in case my work should phone or someone sees me.  All daft I know, but that's how I am.  Anyway, off we go tomorrow morning and I am looking forward to it, I suppose I can say it's a theraputic break, which I guess it is really.

My  Card today is for CCAYR August Challenge "Christmas Extravaganza" and we want you to make it fussy and fancy.
As you can see I've added loads of sparkle
Papermania Sleigh Stamp
Promarkers and Flexmarkers
MB Frosty Border and Corner dies
SB Snowflake die
Seniment and Parcels from Hunkydory
The Ribbon Girl, Purple Seam Binding and Pearls
Papers from my stash
Glamour Dust and Star Dust

I hope my card will help a bit with inspiration, but do pop over to the challenge blog,  http://christmascardsallyearround.blogspot.co.uk/      and see what the other DT members have to show. Remember, it's how you interpret "Christmas Extravaganza".  Good Luck Everyone.

Hugs, Kate x
