Mainly Red or Anything Goes for the CCC!

 Hello To Everyone, how are you all doing? I hope all is well with you and that your weekend is going well.  We are fine and dandy, thankfully, and hoping to go for a run to Aviemore later this afternoon.

I had a wonderful treat yesterday....I went to visit Damian, and after a bit of discussion decided to take a chance and go into the house, thankfully they have a big enough sitting room to socially distance ourselves, however certainly couldn't with Milo and Rowan, who were all over me. I've not been with them since the start of lockdown months ago, neither have I seen Moreen, so it was just wonderful. I don't know whether it was me or the jumbo bones that caused the dogs' excitement, I like to think it was me. Anyway it was good to have a good old catch up. Damian has been told to work from home now, not to even bother going into the office even for one day a weeks, he's happy, and Moreen continues to work from home too. This may become the new normal for many people.

So, it's time once again for the Christmas Card Club to show their creations and it's our lovely Lorraine who has chosen the theme, which is Mainly Red, or of course if you can't manage that,  Anything goes.

I would like to enter this card into; https://www.fezziwigsfestivefrolics.com/2020/08/fezziwig-says-to-far-away-lands.html

I would like to enter this card into https://scrapsoflifebyscrappymo.blogspot.com/2020/08/august-rudolph-days-challenge.html

 Two very cute images from LOTV, digital sheets, so I didn't have to colour. On the first card I've used a backing paper from Dovecraft, and s snowflake embossing folder, and lots of glitter.

I used a snow globe die from the Works on this second card, and Paper from First Edition, again lots of sparkle and gems.

I had almost forgotten about the challenge, this last fortnight has whizzed past, so I had to do something quick, so I hope they will do Lorraine. Thank you for the challenge, once I got started it was fun.

Do check out the creations the other girls in the team make, there's always fabulous cards.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my last coloured page, as always you are very kind.

Thanks me for now, enjoy your Sunday, and take care of yourselves,

I've just come back to see if anyone is have the same problem with some of the photos of the cards being cut off. I've noticed this in the last few posts, not when I first changes over to the new blogger, so I'm not sure what has happened in the meantime. Does anyone know of this and how I can change it. I wont go back to the old style blogger as it's about to change soon anyway, any advice will be appreciated.

Daydreams Name Page!

 Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and that your weekend is going well, a quiet one here but that's okay, sometimes quiet is good.

Thank you again for your lovely comments on my last post, always appreciated, and a warm welcome to my new Follower Sally, delighted that you clicked the button and I hope you manage to visit often and that you continue to like what I post.

Anyhoo, I have an other page to show you'

The name page from Hanna Karlzon's Daydream book, coloured with Crayola and Black Widow pencils and I've also used some gel pens. DI for the background, I wish I hadn't added the black soot around the edges, but hey ho, that's life. I've never been all that good at blending DI and I've got every blending tool under the sun, but it was fun to colour and very therapeutic.

Hanna is a Swedish artist and she has several books and they are all gorgeous, good paper that will take most mediums. I'm eagerly awaiting her latest book Midnight Masquerade, I ordered it a couple of months ago, so it should be with me soon.

Well, that's me for today, I'm off to have a look at what you've all been doing, take care everyone and keep safe,

A Cosy Craft Room!

 Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and that the week has got off to a good start for you. I'm still trying to work out where last week went to.

We had a quiet weekend, the weather wasn't great, so didn't venture out all the much, and yesterday I couldn't get heated up at all, wrapping myself up in cardigans and socks as I really didn't want to put the heating on....well it is August after all.  I did get another page coloured though, so not all that bad lol.

I thought I would choose a picture that wasn't so challenging this time after the lovely Steampunk girls, but this one was so bitty to colour as there was so many bits to it, however I'm pleased with it. It's coloured with Prismacolour Pencils and some gel pens.

The page comes fro Creative Heaven book and it has some absolutely lovely pages, to do with the home and garden, and although it was fairly inexpensive, about £5, the illustrations are lovely and the paper isn't bad at all, not too much tooth, but enough for layering .I hope you like it.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my CCC cards, as always you are so kind.

That's me for today, time for a spot of lunch, have a lovely day whatever you're up to, take care of yourselves and keep safe,

Winter Scene for the CCC!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are in fine fettle and enjoying your weekend. They come around so quickly as do the Christmas Card Club Challenge, it doesn't seem like two weeks ago since I posted the last one.

This time the theme has been chosen by our lovely Mrs. A aka Valery Anne and as you can see for the title she wants to see a Winter Scene. I thought I would have a little bit of Continental winter scenery this time with these lovely Michael Powell images that I've had for yonks and I believe if memory serves me right they were made by Docrafts,

Both  images have been coloured with Altenew watercolour paints, and sparkled up with Stickles Star Dust, a few clear gems on the first card, whose sentiment is by Clearly Besotted Stamps, and the sentiment is from a set that was gifted to me and I don't know the brand. A Snowflake embossing folder, I think it might be an old Docraft one, but can't be certain, and some clear gems.

I hope they will do Valery, and thank you for the challenge, I did enjoy colouring up these images.

Just a quick post today, but before I go, just t say thank you all for your lovely comments on my socks, I do appreciate your continued visits and comments.

Have a great Sunday whatever your doing and see you again, take care and keep safe,

Socks....in this weather!

 Hi there, I hope you are all well and not suffering from the heat or the awful thunder storms and floods. We here in Inverness seem to have got off lightly, but there has been an awful incident near Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire where a train has been derailed and at the moment some pretty critical injuries, seems like it may have been bad weather conditions. So, heart goes out to all involved in this be it rescue workers  or injured passengers and staff.

The Aberdeen city center is having it hard just now as it is still in lockdown, and I doubt that the schools would have gone back today, so a train incident is just not needed.

Anyhoo, something a little different today Socks,

This pair was knitted for Damian's Christmas last year, he loves hand knitted socks.

This little pair of trainer socks was for a friend's birthday earlier this year.

And is pair are mine.  It takes me ages to knit a pair, knitting takes it toll on the old fingers, so for Christmas gifts I have to start well in advance lol.

So I hope you like them. Thank you so much for your continued visits and the lovely comments you leave. Take care everyone and see you soon,

Margarette!

 Hi Folks, how are you all doing , are you enjoying the weekend in this glorious sunshine? It just lifts the spirits to waken up to sunshine. It is though going to be too hot for me to sit outside, but I managed a wee walk this morning.

We took ourselves to Nairn yesterday for a walk along the beach, it was just lovely  and loads of space to move, mind you the tide was very far out, never seen it so far infact. and it had left some large pools which made for the children to paddle about safely. I quick trip into Sainsbury for odds and end then home, just a couple of hours but it was just great to have a change of scenery and some sea air.

I have another coloured page today;

This lovely Steampunk lady is from Colouring Heaven magazine and I've mainly used Black Widow pencils, but Prismacolour on the hair, Luminance pencils.  This is a first for such a large portrait picture, so it was a bit daunting,  no doubt I need more practise with skin and hair, nevertheless, I'm pretty pleased with it. Here is the colouring magazine the picture is from, there are loads of lovely pages to colour.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last post, you are so kind and I do appreciate them.

We've been having a wee visitor to the house over the last week. Meg is a little cat who lives next door and she's in and about here every time the door's open, Teallach is not too sure about it all mind you. Meg has now found his toy box and she makes a bee line for it and loves the catnip mouse that's in it. Teallach doesn't bother with catnip so it's at the bottom of the box, well Meg fired everything out till she found it.

She's a sweet wee thing and very curious, Teallach wandered over to see what she was up to, she hissed at him and he ran out the door, she is just shameless. Keeps us entertained.

Anyhoo, that's me for now, enjoy your Sunday, keep safe,

Fuchsias!

Hello and hoping all's well with you today and that you've enjoyed whatever you've been doing.
I've just been pottering about in the house  catching up with bits and pieces of housework, nothing too taxing.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last post, you are always so kind and I do appreciate each and every one of them.

I have a card tonight, one made a few months ago but only getting around to posting now;
Stamp and die from Taylored Expressions called Blooms. Stamped on to black watercolour card and water coloured with Altenew Metallic paints. Sentiment by Clearly Besotted stamps, embossed in white onto black card. A dotted embossed background and a few sparkly gems.
I'm entering it into;

Well that's me for tonight, so take care of yourselves and see you soon,

Nativity or Anything Goes for the CCC!

Hello Everyone, I hope all is tickity boo with you all. The weekend again, doesn't seem that long since it was last weekend. One would think with lockdown going on that time would hang around a bit, but it hasn't.
A scorcher here yesterday, too hot for me, it just saps what little energy I have, not so hot today and quite cloudy, I think it could rain later one.
Anyoo, it's time for the Christmas Card Club to get creating again and this time it's Grandmargaret  aka, Margaret who has chosen the theme and it's Nativity of Anything Goes, I've gone with Anything Goes, and I've managed two cards;
Another Studio Light die cut sheet. I rather like this topper of the mugs of hot chocolate with the cinnamon sticks and marshmallows, I just love this drink, All the elements come from the one sheet. The background paper which you can hardly see if fro a lovely pad bought at Works.

 This little cute guy is a digi from Pink Gems and all I've added are the pink dotted background paper, black card, glitter and a few gems and glossy accents on the holly berries. I don't often used digital stamps as they use up so much ink which for my printed is pretty expensive, but he is so cute.

Thank you Margaret for the theme, I'm sure the other ladies will makes lovely Nativity cards.

Well that's me for now, enjoy your weekend and stay safe,
