Christmas Geese!

Hello To Everyone, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead.

Awfully cold here, what's it like where you are?? This cold snap seems to be all over the country. Keep yourselves cosy.

Thank you for the lovely comment on my last cards, you are so kind with your words, and it always gives me encouragement.

My card today is for Scrappymo's Rudolph Challenge,
Love this stamp from Hobby Art, there are actually three stamps with these fabulous geese, I've coloured with Zig Clean Colour pens and Oxide inks on the sky, and of course lots of sparkle. I've layered on to glitter card and paper from Dovecraft and the base card is also Dovecraft in a similar soft green colour, finishing off with little green buttons and some silver wire thread.

Now I know some of you lovely people are FB friends, so I just want to let you know that I've deleted my FB account, it was on the cards for a while, but now I've finally gotten around to actually doing it. I was spending too much time on it, and I was fed up with some of the rubbish that came through. If there was one thing....and there was many, it was these awful emotional posts where if you cared for me or my cause you'd post it on your page. My thoughts are that if I've included you as a friend, that's exactly what you are and there should be no need to keep responding. I guess it's like the old fashioned chain letters that used to fall on the doormat.  Anyway, I joined FB for a reason that didn't pan out and as I don't need it for Crafting, have no family I need to keep touch with, I decided to call it quits, and do you know...I feel liberated!!!

As I'm typing this I'm watching Imitation of Life with Lana Turner and I've got my tissues at the ready, it's a film I love  and seen many times, I've even warned Alistair that he'll have to miss the 1 o'clock news as the film won't be finished.  These sorts of films are just not made any more.

That's me for now, have  a great day and see you soon,

love the quizzical geese that you coloured up so well and the glitter always is great. Love the buttons and the off kilter style. I Love Imitation of Life-one of Lana Turner's better films. They don't make films like this any more-you are right! I still need to see the original film with Claudette Colbvert in the title role.

This is such a fun image nd lovely bright colours. Deginitely been colder here but no frost yet. I mainly use FB for crafting DT work and promoting my craft fairs. I hate those emotional posts too, just ignore them.

So cold here as well Kate, a real culture shock Sunday coming home from temps in the high 20's, when we touched down at heathrow and the captain said it was 5deg we thought he was joking!

Can totally identify with your comments on FB, I have never dabbled because of a nasty incident with one of our girls when she was at school and have turned down DT spots because they were instant on using FB.I have very recently started Instagram to keep up with the children and grandchildren but that's as far as I am going.

Oh hear, I have rambled on and not mentioed your card which is lovely with the super fun image.

The geese are the most darling little image for a christmas card! Love it!

I wish I could quit facebook, but there are quite a few private groups that I am a part of that only communicate through that medium. I do try not to spend too much time there. Enjoy your liberation!

Such a pretty card and what a wonderful image. I am not a fan of facebook and only use it when I have too, so well done you on cancelling it x.

What a wonderful card Kate, I just adore your fun geese with their scarves on!! I completely understand about Facebook. I have turned off almost all of the options that allow people to interact on my page, other than commenting. The spam I get is unbelievable sometimes and I wish there was a better way to reach out to people than this. Sometimes I miss the days of relying on word of mouth and a well worded add in the local paper. lol

Adore this card Kate. Gorgeous! They are such great stamps. You know what I don't blame you for deleting your fb account. I was thinking the same last night. I only really had it to send messages to my nieces. Maybe I can change the settings more. Anyway sweetie, lovly chatting :)
Hugs to you both, Flo xx

I love your beautiful card, Kate! I too had to have the geese - such fun stamps! I can totally relate to what you are saying about Facebook. I don't go on it very often at the moment, although my Hubby is now a convert after years of refusing to have a phone or go on the internet. He suddenly has a new circle of friends in the local music scene and is enjoying his retirement very much! Sorry I haven't been visiting much. We are in Ofted's window and blog land is having to take a back seat.
