Mono Shades for the Christmas Card Club!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and having a lovely weekend whatever you have planned.

It's time for the CCC girls to share the latest challenge which it's my turn to host and I decided on Mono Colours... , and I'm looking forward to seeing what the talented ladies have created. Here are mine.. I made two card as I couldn't make up my mind on the shades to choose;
Now the colours here are blue, it's not showing up too well. I've used SU Night of Navy ink and the trees  in the foreground are also SU Winter Woods, the little fir trees in the background and the deer are from Creative Stamping Magazine. The sentiment is SU. Again not showing up is the  snow that is meant to give the glitter. I have to say the card looks much better in reality.
Shades of brown for this one, Crumbcake SU ink and an other tree from Winter Woods set long with a die from the same set and decoupaged on top of the stamped tree. The branches around the edges are from Creative Stamping  Magazine as is the lovely sentiment. Stardust on the tree and around the base of the tree and sequins in  coffee and cream. LOTV paper and shades of brown card from SU, finishing off with baker's twine.

I was looking to see how many card we still have to make for our little challenge and there's only four more....EEEEkkkk!! it will soon be Christmas, where has the year gone??

Do check out the lovely creations from my lovely team mates.

Thank you all for your lovely comment son my last card, always appreciated, I'll say cheerio for now, and see you soon, oh and I'll leave you with a photo of my lovely boy Teallach I managed to shoot the other day
Love him to bits!!

Hi Kate, love these. The blue one is definitely my favourite. Just beautiful and restful. I often find mine don't photograph as realistically as they ought to. Colours can come out completely different, I find. Hugs, Shaz X

So pretty. This is very similar to what I originally had in mond for this challenge. (Thanks for a great theme, by the way!)

I ended up using what was left on my desk from my last card as I have been putting my garden to bed for winter and digging up all the perennials that are getting too big and dividing them up to give to my daughters. Then somehow I managed to get talked into helping them plant them too. That led into a huge finishing project for eldest daughter as she ordered three tractor scoops of black bark mulch and the whole family came and helped her peg down the black landscape cloth and shovel the bark into place! They all laughed at me as I can not handle a shovel...not enough strength in my hands...so used a wastebasket and scooped and then threw it into place...

Love both the shades of your wonderful cards. I really like the blue woodland scene you've created on #1 very much. Also like the brown/sepia shade, which was a nice change of pace. Both met the challenge theme perfectly Kate! Well done! TFS & Have a great week.

Sorry I'm so late in commenting Kate. Our internet connection went just after seven am and we only got it back about 45 minutes ago. Your two cards are really great. I love the first one - I think it's the trees that do it for me. You've created a super scene. We had a great day in Leicester, despite extremely heavy rain. Fortunately the Richard 111 Centre and the Cathedral are next door to each other so didn't get too wet. I was a little overloaded with the history, but on the second floor the scientific and archeological stuff was fascinating. And there was a great video in the Cathedral showing how they chose the stone for the tomb and how it was made etc. The tomb really is a work of art. Hope you are both well. Hugs Christine xx

Two beautiful monochromatic cards Kate and love the winter wonderland on the first in that soft blue which suits it so well, and then the goldy brown shades with that pretty tree and framed wonderfully well with the foliage, and the baker's twine is suitably rustic too. x
