Caring Thoughts!

Hello Everyone, I hope you have all been enjoying the wonderful weather this weekend., what high temperatures, we never get hat in Scotland....well rarely anyway.
Unfortunately, I've been stuck at home as I've had a gout flare up, out of the blue, during the night in bed....how does that happen!!. I've not had a flare up since I was put on Allopurinol  tablets away last year. Anyway, my foot has been pretty damn sore and making walking difficult, hopefully it won't last long.

Thank you so much for all the lovely comments on my last card, always appreciated.

I decided to try out New Blogger, and I'm finding it okay, this is the first time of creating and posting a new post. I think it will just take a bit of time to get used to it, and just try clicking things to get where you want to go.  I don't know why it Blogger had to change something that wasn't broken. It is supposed to be more mobile friendly, but I don't know, i don't see an awful lot of difference myself.

So, here is my card for today;
I've used a lovely stamp by John Next Door, and a watercolour background. Matted it onto black card and a rainbow coloured card before putting it on to the base card. I've added some silver thread and a few sequins. Sentiment is also from JND.

I had to search around the page to work out how to create the post, I found a round icon with a plus sign, that was it, and the page does look a bit different, more how it's set out really, anyway, let's see if I can manage to actually post it😊

Anyhoo, keep yourselves safe, if in England listen to your commonsense and not the Government, who are not listening to the scientists, who think the opening up is too soon. If you're in Bonnie Scotland, thankfully our Government are, not quite so quick in opening things up, but still keep yourselves safe.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Such a pretty card Kate, very gentle colours and a lovely design. I nipped over after seeing your sweet comment in the Snippets Playground about keeping safe - how right you are. I'm a bit shaken about your Allopurinol not stopping gout - I take 100mg per day and thank goodness have been fine for a good while. They should have given you some back up Colchicine pills for emergencies, just in case of a flare up. It doesn't mean all is lost. It's a vicious thing and will try to return - but you're well on the way to beating it.

Hugs

Di xx

Quick thought Kate - it's hot so do make sure you keep really well hydrated - to ward off the dreaded gout. xx

This is beautiful. Would love to see your cards made bigger as they do look small on my Ipad which is what I use for viewing blogs. Sorry to read about your gout, hope that soon improves. The main problem here is people ignoring the rules on the coast for example. We would love to go to the coast but not with all those people so staying home and safe.

If everybody stuck to the guidance where ever they live they can stay safe...its just all the idiots that flout the rules that make going out scary....I don't get it why would you want to risk catching it....my motto is better safe than dead....take care xxx

I hope your gout improves soon Kate, it's bad enough coping with these lock-down measures without being in pain also.
A gorgeous card and well done for using the new Blogger layout, mine changed over about a week ago and although it worked fine it now won't let me upload any photo's from my computer to my blog so I've reverted back to the older version at the moment.

i am so sorry for not visiting lately and feel so bad that you are going through this pain. I truly understand and it is not easy. I love this card and the background...did you use distress inks?? I love it! I think we need to use good common sense which many people don't seem to have. Don't go out when you don't have to but a nice walk in your area is ok as long as it is not crowded. Wear a mask when you go grocery shopping or anywhere with a lot of people. If nurses and Doctors have been wearing it to not catch anything then we should do the same. People can be so daft and the governments? Ughhh...we live next door to the biggest orange clod ever

A beautiful card Kate, hope your gout settles down very soon. Your politicians are more sensible than here in London. My dr told me to stay home and it may be for some considerable time but I am staying home. I ignore our government, putting the economy first before lives. Stay safe and hope the pain eases soon xx

Hello Kate

So sorry to hear about your gout flare up, so very painful indeed!

Fabulous card and an equally fabulous background

I do think our government is totally wrong, relaxing procedures is sure, in my opinion, to bring this second wave

Take care!
