Robins!

Hello Everyone, hoping all is well with you today and that you are coping okay.

We're doing fine, and count ourselves really fortunate in not having a complicated life, so there's the diabetes, have to be careful, but it's well controlled, Alistair is very fit. We are retired, so it's easier to isolate, there is only the two of us in the house...though I have said that if it's necessary he can go down to the shed lol.  We were never people who went out socialising all that much anyway, we don't have Grandchildren, which for those who do it must be so difficult not to see and hug them. I do miss Damian's dogs though. I've always been someone who likes their own company, and content myself just being home, so all in all as I said we are absolutely fine.
Mind my mind does wander to people who are rough sleeper and former clients who because of their mental health conditions will find it so hard to comply with things now,  I just hope they are being looked after.

Anyway, I have a card today for Maureen's https://scrapsoflifebyscrappymo.blogspot.com/2020/03/march-rudolph-days-challenge.html
This lovely image is by Little Claire, and I've coloured it with  Prisma Colour Pencils on to kraft card. I've used a little Glossy Accents on the little heart, and some shimmer pen. Little clear gems and white pen for snow. Some very old paper and a Tonic Studio sentiment, with red gems.

So, that's me for now, I hope you are not finding things too difficult, and have plenty to occupy yourselves, not listening to the depressing news too much.....thank goodness for Star Trek at 6 pm, always was a Trekkie fan, I'll see you soon ,

A Beautiful card Kate, love those robins and the watering can. I'm like you OK with my own company, but have to have some sometimes. Thank goodness for the sunshine to help lifting the mood and loads of washing LOL.

I goofed in my last comment thinking the baby was your grandkid when it is the neighbours:) It's just the 2 of us as well not counting the fur babes. I love your card which is festive and so pretty with a vintage feel. I am all about loving colour and the robin looks great. Stay safe and enjoy Star Trek. I can't see how someone doesn't like Star Trek

Lovely card Kate with the sweet robins.
Glad you are both ok with isolation, we are too, just miss going out for a drink, it will feel odd when we finally can, which I suspect will be quite a few more weeks, xx

This is a lovely image, Kate. Your pencil crayons on the kraft card keep that country feel to the image, and looks so good too.

I always think it is good to use up an older piece of my own DP so enjoyed reading you were able to do just that here!

Take care, Kate, and keep safe.
We are still able to see our grandkids and kids as they are onlyh a few doors away and call us when they walk the dog each day. We sit on the porch and they stand on the sidewalk and visit. My eldest even brought a chair with here yesterday!

The only upset to our calm days is once every 7 to 10 days, Al goes out for groceries. I then have a busy hour or so, wiping all the tins and packages down with a bleach and water solution before they come into the house. AL is now changing his shoes in the garage and then changing clothes and showering so as he comes home. He is the only who touches his own laudry and has now become an expert in the laundry room!!! This is all on the advice of our eldest daughter who teaches community health nursing and was on the SARS committee when that was the bad flu here.

Take care, Kate!

Thanks for taking part in the March Rudolph Days Challenge.

So glad you are doing well, Katy, and that your family is also well. Your card is darling on the kraft cardstock and patterned paper! The last 6 weeks have been harsh regarding my abilities, so I have not left as many comments as usual. I have enjoyed all your beautiful creations, and appreciate your inspiration. Please forgive my inability to get this fumble fingers working properly. hugs, de

Ahhh what a lovely card, I really love seeing Robins. They are amazing. Glad that you are doing ok. I am socially isolated usually with my anxiety disorder so its similar to normal life for me. Just a huge trauma getting shopping as its all so strange having to queue at shops. Sure we will be relieved once we are all though the worst of it. Hazelxx

Hi Kate...loving this card, how I love a robin,we have so many that come to our garden to feed, they are so cheeky and sit waiting for the food to go out on a morning...thank goodness we have a garden at the moment...we have been catching up on all the stuff that got left during all that wet weather.....
I wasn’t coping well with the isolation at first but I have decided I will craft every morning and garden in the afternoon....doing a bit of baking and trying to cook more inventive meals to keep me sane...
Glad you are both safe and well and let’s hope life returns to normal in the not too distant future....take care xxxx

Hi Kate,
here with my DT hat on.
What a very lovely scene you have created and I love those fgorgeous Robins.
Beautiful colouring as well and I also love the paper used too.
My Daughter works with people with learning difficuties that live in the homes she is a manager for so she has to go to work.
I too am fine with my own company and always have been even more so now that hubby is not here.
This virus would have done for him if he was still here and caught it.
Than you for joining the Rudolf Challenge.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L. DT

I'm so glad to hear that you and Alistair are doing well with the isolation, Kate. We're fine, too, especially now that we have Nellie to keep us company, but we do miss seeing the twinks. I love your Chrissie card with that darling image, perfectly colored on kraft! That snow looks so real, I have a chill now, lol!! Keep on taking care 😷 and being safe 🤍!! Hugs, Darnell

Beautiful christmas card, I love your robins
We are retired too, but with underlying illness we both have been told to stay home for three months. We can go out for a walk as daily exercise, as we live in a village in rural somerset, just hoping our grand daughter can do our shopping for us. At least I have my crafting I can do and on wet days some spring cleaning, and the garden.
Stay safe and well

What a sweet image and love how you colored it up with the pencils on kraft, looks so nice. With Spring, the Robins return each year to try to make a nest on our patio. My husband keeps going out and knocking it down until they finally give up and go elsewhere. They can be very nasty if they have eggs or babies in a next where you are coming and going, so it is necessary. We have had so many around this year already and earlier than usual.

Hugs
Sue
