Christmas Candles for the CCC!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and  coping.

Can hardly believe that two weeks have past since the last Christmas Card Club post, and what a lot has happened in those two weeks. Anyhoo, here I am with the theme for this time around chosen by the lovely Rita and it's Candles on our cards, or anything goes.
I've managed three this time;
This is a much loved stamp from Papermainia, bought yonks ago, and this time I've used non traditional colours with Prisma Colour Pencils, matted on to blue sparkly card and a cream card base. Shimmer and pearls to finish. Sentiment is from A Creative Stamping magazine.

This card shows a Memory Box die that I hardly ever use, and it's such a lovely one, perfect for this challenge. Cut out in white, then again in green and the green stuck on to the holly image. More cutting in yellow card just to get those tiny bits of flame. Shimmer pen to give a bit of sparkle and some tiny pearls. I've used a Tonic Studio sentiment.

This lovely image is one from a Creative Stamping magazine and coloured with Copic markers with some shimmer. Sentiment again from Tonic Studio. Papers are from  a  Dovecraft  pad, Time to Sparkle. I decided to put and frame around the edge of the paper and  few gold gems to finish off with.
I hope this fits the bill Rita, I had fun making these cards and using  some old stash, so thank you so much for the challenge.

Thank you all for your continued visits to my blog and the lovely comments that you leave, and it's great to hear how you are all doing, it's a great way of offering each other encouragement and support at this time of uncertainty....and it ain't going to be over by Easter, so we just have to keep doing the right thing, stay at home mostly, just going out when necessary for food and medicines and a wee bit of exercise.
Did you all clap the Carers the other night? I dragged Alistair to the door to do it, Scottish men are not good at showing emotion, but he did it and quite a few neighbours did too. We have a nurse in our street, that was really how I got him to the door. The funny thing was that the day after we met Carrie's hubby out with their children, and  he told us that they had forgotten that it was happening so missed it. I just wish they had the PPE that they need, apparently our hospital here in Inverness doesn't have enough and we are the only major hospital in the Highlands and Islands.
I live very near the hospital and seen an increase of the helicopters flying into the hospital, Army helicopters too, obviously bought in to assist. Much of the Highlands is very rural and of course there are all the Islands to take in to account.

Anyway, we thankfully remain fine,  I'm joining in with Jo Wicks doing a bit of exercise in the morning and a wee walk most days. Alistair is going out on his bike  when the weather permits. He is missing his mountains though.  I'm trying not to let my days be filled with housework, no need to go daft with that lol, but getting quite a few cards made.

Do look at the  lovely cards that my teamies create, and I'll say cheerio for now and see you soon,
stay well and safe,

Hi Kate, loving all three of these Christmas cards. Each one different from the other. The non traditional colours on the first card are so pretty. I love the simplicity of the second card and the third card is beautiful too. We have been passing the time tidying up the dead foliage in the garden over the last few days, as the weather has been sunny and really quite warm. Today is totally different, quite a chilly wind and no sunshine. Spending more time in my craft room making samples for Sue of Imagination Crafts. Stay safe and well Kate.
Hugs Jennifer xx.

Hi Kate, gorgeous selection of cards. I do like that Papermania stamp, it's very pretty. I too have that Memory Box die, and had planned to use it too, but then went of in a completely different direction! My Dad used to live in Banff, where his nearest neighbour was 4 miles away,so can understand what you are saying. Often needed helicopters to get people to hospital, especially when there was a lot of snow. Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz X

Gorgeous trio of cards Kate. The middle die is a popular choice and I like your take with it. The first is a fab stamp and I can see why you love it and the third is classic Christmas and very pretty. Hope you are both well and keeping safe. Hugs Zoe x

Three beauties Kate to add to your collection. I have the candle die and was going to use it for my other two cards that didn’t get made because I thought tithe clocks were changing next week. Well it was next week when I asked The Doc last weekend!!. My timings are all over the place due to the shut down. I was doing a bit of weeding in the week and thought, hmm could do with a bit more gravel. Will just pop down the garden centre for a bag or two. Silly what you take for granted and then can’t do. The Doc is trying to source a trickle charger for his Auldi. As he won’t be taking it out anywhere and not even able to run down the road and back to give the battery a charge he is not sure that the one he managed to find on line is ok for a stop start engine and of course there is no one he can ring up and check with as the dealers are shut. Just hoping it will say on the box if and when it turns up. Keep staying safe and well. Our family member Brian is not doing too good. Am dreading the phone call . Then we will have a whole knew dilemma to worry about as we all live in different counties.
Essex, Hampshire, Derbyshire, Leeds , Suffolk. I can’t sleep through the worry if it . Attending a funeral is bad enough in normal times but when we will all have to get there and back in a day because we can’t stay anywhere or with anyone it becomes an unthinkable nightmare.
Hugs Mrs A.

Hi KAte.
Your three cards are all so pretty! The first has such pretty colouring and the second is a Memory Box favourite of mine. I think it has an elegant feel!
The ;ast card has that lovely traditional Christmas feeling. A trio of lovelies!

We are doing well. Keeping busy with crafts and the garden. Making a few Christmas decorations and generally sorting through the house getting myself a bit more organized everywhere!

Three beautiful cards Kate, both David and I joined slimming world before all this started, we have been trying to keep to it, it is a great diet, I've had vegetables that I thought I wouldn't eat. Keep safe and well. Marlene

Lovely cards Kate...funny how I personally tend to forget the dies I have in my folders until I see cards made by friends here, yes, I have that lovely die you used....it's a fabulous die and charming made up. Keep doing those exercises and walking when you are able to. We do most days for half an hour around the duck pond and nice to see the ducks. Not so today as it's raining and we are both tired....think it's the lack of activity we are allowed to do now... keep well and happy.xx

I love all 3 cards especially the first one with the colours. I love the second which is so elegant and the last seems traditional to me. They are all great. I’m dealing with another health issue, not at all related to this virus but enough that it makes me tired. This sucks but it is not dangerous but I need to eat some iron enriched foods. Now, I am all for giving accolades to the nurses and other front liners who deserve so much.

Three beautiful Candle cards Kate. I couldn't pick a favourite. Glad to hear you are both coping with this terrible virus. I haven't been over the door in 3 weeks. Some days are harder than others mind you. Stay safe. Hugs Rita xxx

What a wonderful idea to showcase three beautiful cards with the theme of candles, each so different Kate and beautifully made. I too forgot to clap duh! I'm glad you are resisting the tons of housework, I am trying to do not do it too, BUT, where has all the washing come from with the result of the ironing! UGH!
Keep safe and well

Three gorgeous cards, Kate. The non-traditional colours in the first are lovely. I like that Memory Box die - it's perfect for Rita's choice. The way you've framed the third card is a great idea - wish I'd thought of it for mine! Glad to hear you're both okay. It's a trying time. I admit I've been doing a bit more housework but I think I would be spring cleaning if times were normal so I'm probably being fairly predictable. I'm working out with the Green Goddess most mornings, and the sewing machine has been getting a workout too. Just keeping busy. Keep safe. Hugs xx
