Shades of Pink!

Hello Everyone, how are you doing?  No doubt like me trying to get to grips with all that's happening at the moment with this awful virus. I hope you are all keeping safe and taking no risks.

I felt that I couldn't continue with the aqua aerobics and had my membership frozen for a couple of months, and now of course yesterday all gyms and leisure centers were told to close. Needs must, but just as I was feeling that the exercise was so beneficial for my knees so it's disappointing. So with the Choral suspended indefinitely, thank goodness for card making, and knitting.

We got ourselves up and out for the supermarket opening at 6 am, boy what a shock to the system, and to find that shelves were still empty. Seems like certain foods are not getting through from distributors, a lack of drivers who have health issues and need to isolate themselves. Having said that, we got most things that I needed, except cat food, however, Teallach's not run out yet, and he'll have to learn not to be so fussy...good luck with that Kate.  So all in all we are lucky and won't really need to shop for around two weeks, just milk and bread. I hope you are managing to get food in the shops, it's very worrying, and the man from the NHS today, was quite right, the hoarders and panic buyers should be  ashamed, I wonder if they are?

So, on to my card;
Watercoloured blooms, from a recent Creative Stamping magazine. I used my Altenew watercolour paints and fussy cut them out.
The background was taped off to make different section and painted and when dry, I stamped flower images and heat embossed with white Wow EP.  sorry but I cant remember where the sentiment is from, a few small pearls to decorate. I wanted to keep the colours soft.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciate every one of them I have no news about the new baby as I've not seen my neighbours, so I hope all is well there.

Whilst I'm typing this post I'm watching the most fascinating wild life programme about Australia's wonderful creatures, stunning photography, that's the sort of programme that's worth the licence fee.

Anyway, I'll love you and leave you, and hope you are having a good weekend whatever you'er doing. Keep yourselves safe and calm and carry on crafting,

Sorry about the aqua classes, as well as your singing Kate, especially as the aqua classes where helping your knees. I couldn't agree more with your comments about the food or lack of it in our shops and the hoarders.
Your card is beautiful and what a fabulous background and an amazing cluster of very pretty flowers. Spring like colours and a very unique and fabulous card Kate x. The tv programme sounds great x.

Oh this is such a pretty card, Love the colours you have gone for. Its kitty litter here thats now like hens teeth to get!! Im sure the folk who took the loo rolls have stocked up on the litter too so that if they run out of their 1000 rolls they can use the litter!!! So selfish. WE just need fresh items now for a few days although Im running low on pasta but can make other things instead. Hope you stay safe, H xx

A lovely card. Shame you have to miss your class, we are missing our line dancing class but we can practice at home, unlike you 😀.

Beautiful card Kate, lovely pinks...
You can sing at home and having Alistair and Teallach is the most important thing at this crisis time..it goes to show we are a small nation in this world sticking together.
The hoarders here are sheer greedy and won't listen to our PM re STOP word...it's horrible..
Keep positive, we watch movies, walk in a isolated part of the duck pond, play with Monte out the back and I craft...
We have a pool where I did aqua aerobics but have now turned off the solar heating so, as it's a deep pool it's now gone cold..

keep safe.xxxxx

Stay home and stay safe, Kate. This will pass too and you will be able to sing again and go to the gym. Think positive, my friend. We are lucky that we love crafting!
Your card is beautiful. Great watercoloring and interesting background. Hugs!

Beautiful background. I like the way you have created it. We had to go to two different food shops to get what we wanted but have enough fresh/frozen meals for a fortnight. Again like you will to try and get bread and milk . I managed to get an on line shopping slot but not until 23rd April so will have to go out again in a couple of weeks and then make it last out. The people who have just stock piled have no thoughts other than for themselves..They have no conscience. Thank goodness for crafting to help keep us sane.long may the blogging community continue. Stay safe. Hugs Mrs A.

That's such a pretty card Kate and I love the background too. I just can't take it all the news in. It's like a bad dream that just keeps getting worse and it certainly makes you realise that you can't take anyone or anything for granted. As you say, thank goodness that we have our crafting to keep us busy. It's a beautiful day today, the sun is shining (for a change) so I'm going to take from today what I can. Take care and stay safe Kate. Crafty hugs, Sandra xx

What a lovely card Kate! My taste exactly and I adore pink. Been wondering how you are when I read about folk from England trying to pitch up in your beautiful Scotland during the current panic. How very DARE they. Having caravanned in Bonnie Scotland many a time when I lived in Northumberland - it's so unfair. So they raid your stores no doubt. Plus if they get ill why should they then be treated in your hospitals.as well as probably having infected others beforehand? Rant over but still quietly got steam coming out of my ears!

Hugs

Beautiful bright and happy Kate, a perfect tonic to start the day.

I know just what you mean about the hoarder's, one of our sons who lives down near Worthing on the Sussex cost said he was able to identify them easily in Sainsburys when he went in for a loaf of bread, he decided they were the ones with no loo rolls in their baskets. He might have a point. Stay well and safe.

Beautiful card, soft colors are lovely and the flowers are too.

One thing about blogging is you see that people are all the same no matter where they are. We have the same problem with people carting out groceries and goods by the cartful! We are also trying to only go for groceries every two weeks. Just about everything except the grocery stores are closed here now. I too am grateful for my craft room, maybe now I will get caught up on the pile of stuff I haven't used yet!! Take care Kate, stay safe.

Hugs
Sue

Hi Kate, love the caed you made. Very creative and colorful! The panic buyers should be ashamed, indeed. There would be enough for everyone but... Oh well.

And yeah, there's food in here to buy as well, all of us just gotta stay patient and indoors, as much as we can. But you already know that. Sendin' you some positive vibes, girl. Hope to see you around! :)

I bought this magazine too and I have used one of the single flowers but not yet this pretty arrangement. I love the gorgeous pink tones you have used for the flowers and also the background, beautifully done Kate. Like you the choirs my hubby and I belong to have stopped for the foreseeable future and my concert should have been in May too. I am missing the singing and just hope for everyone's sake all this does not go on for too long. Take care. x
