Pretty Tulips!

Hello Everyone, I do you are well and coping with these necessary new measures that have been put in place. Still not as stark as some countries, but it's so important that folks take notice of them and comply. I never thought I would see the day that  hanging out your washing would become an outing to be looked forward to Lol.

Mind you for all those who acting like ass....les, there's  fabulous people doing things for others. People entertaining children online, making sure that those less able in communities are being helped and of course our fabulous NHS staff, in fact all emergency staff who are working tirelessly to make people well and many with no PPE. Scandalous how successive governments have eroded the NHS, now it's coming back to bite them.

On a more happy not, baby Alessandro came home on Sunday, and his dad, held him up outside our window so that we could see him, he's just such a wee toot,  beautiful, of course dad is proud as punch. Poor mum's feet are swollen so much that she was in her bright pink fluffy slippers, she looked very tired. So although we won't see much of them until this crisis is over, it's just so heartwarming to think of them next door.

Right then have you all been going mad making cards? I have been quite busy, as I wanted to make some cards for friends that I don't see often, here is one of them,
This is a digital image from Beccy's Place, and it came along with the lovely sentiment which fitted just who I was sending it to. I coloured it with Copic  markers and added some sparkle pen. Unfortunately, it came out too fast on one of the flowers and it wouldn't mop up, but hey ho it is handmade. I splattered some Perfect Pearls and added a few sequins. I heat embossed some tulips from CB onto the card base in white EP.

I hope you are all taking care of yourselves, and not becoming depressed. My advice is not to listen to too much news, cos that will depress you. Of course you need to know what's happening, get the daily update, but is there a need to listen to all the analysis, I don't think so as it's just all repeating it's self. And let's face it, in my opinion, even the experts are not sure of how it's going. Listening to the Health Secretary last night, stuttering, prevaricating, dissembling, I just wanted to slap him.  That's my rant over.
Cheerio and  keep safe,

A gorgeous card with a great sentiment Kate I've had this problem with my sparkle pens too,it's the thought that counts and if you hadn't said I wouldn't have noticed

Gorgeous card here Kate! such a pretty image too. Yes it's so worrying atm. isn't it, I agree about listening to too much news also...so depressing. At least we have our card making though so we are lucky ;) Viv xx

Me again! sorry I forgot to mention about the comment you left me referring to watercolouring and digi's. Yes I do watercolour them, I use my ordinary printer (it's not a laser one), let it try, use a rubber over it all(I heard that helps) ...or you can iron it too carefully. Then I just watercolour lightly and try not to get it too wet. HTH... Bet you can't wait to meet Alessandro in person now too, he sounds lovely ;) Viv xx

Your card is beautiful Kate and your colouring is outstanding. The tulips look lovely and I like your little splatters in the background. I can't seem to concentrate on crafting at the moment, hence me catching up with commenting. I'm pleased to hear that you're keeping your chin up and I agree with you about just watching the headlines, it's so depressing and frightening too. You made me smile with your comment about hanging out the washing. It is a pleasure to be out in the fresh air. I guess we just need to try and look for the positives that each day brings. Keep up the good work and take good care of yourself. Crafty hugs, Sandra x

A Beautiful card Kate, love the splatters! and a lovely sentiment.
I agree about the news, I listen to the main once a day at night, that way they have it up to date, one hopes. So good to hear about Alessandro, how lovely of them to show you him through the window. Keep safe Kate and well.

Awesome colors and design Kate. Yes, the news is so depressing, I find myself outside in the yard most of the day. I did get a laugh about hanging laundry has become an enjoyable outing.

Hugs Diane

Aw sweet Kate, your post just warmed my heart! I can just see dad holding up baby Ales and mom needing her rest after giving birth! 4 times here - I think on my first it took me a month and by #4, I threw on my jeans after 24 hours and said "let's go! Things to do!" LOL! You paint such wonderful happiness in your posts and your daiy life - thank you for sharing that with us! And yes, CRAZY TIMES! We were in the hospital with our daughter (she's 22) and it looked like something out of a zombie outbreak movie scene! You don't even want to know!
Okay, your card! Sensational!! My mum 'raised' tulips from her prized bulbs when we lived in High Wycombe and your card is gorgeous! I love the splatter and the wee sequins and your coloring is spot on! Big hugs x0x0 and stay safe!

Beautiful tulips and I love them in the watering can. I feel your pain, can't stand listening to the daily briefing from the White House, which he makes more about him than the extreme problems at hand! Talk about depressing.... Take care, Kate, stay safe. It will be nice when you can finally visit the new baby and hold the tiny bundle.

Hugs
Sue
