A Cup of Cheer!

Hello to You All, I hope you are well and having a super weekend.

Hasn't it turned back to Winter!! here it has. Yesterday we were visiting our friends over in Strathdon...Aberdeen-shire, and the weather turned awful with hailstones and snow flurries, and a bit of sunshine, but by the time we were getting ready to drive home the snow came on for real. Alistair was a bit concerned that the snow gates would be closed and we'd get stuck, thankfully they weren't, but we were driving through a white out. Scary drive, as there are twists and turns and single drive roads. Just had to take things slowly and we made it home safe, albeit much later than was planned. However we had a lovely day with our friends so worth it all.

It's been a week since I posted anything, I must have been busy or something, but I've got a Christmas card today;

An old Sheena Douglass stamp and coloured with Copics Pens, WOS and glitter and a few sequins. Embossed in the background with an Embossilicious  folder. and shaded with Iced Spruce DI.

A quiet weekend for us, be it will be no less enjoyable. Alistair is hoping for some good weather next week as he is wanted to go away for a few days into the hills, don't know how lucky he'll be with that.

Just before I go, thanks for all the lovely comments on my last card, so very much appreciated them and your visits.

That's me for now, take care of yourselves and I'll see you soon,

Very cute Christmas card! I bet you would have liked that cup of cocoa when you were enduring the hail and snow in May! Glad you had a good trip anyhow!

The weather certainly is a culture shock Kate, pretty similar here although not the snow and a wold apart from the Easter holiday weekend. A pretty seasonal card and what a nice design with the frame.

Similar weather here yesterday, not quite as severe though, cold and hail and sleet again today, so a nice warm mug of hot chocolate would go down a treat, love this stamp and your card Kate

Happy to hear your had a safe journey, it is cold here in Wales, but at least we have the sun and a lovely day for drying clothes outside.
Your card is spot on with it's cheery warm wishes, perfect for the December weather. SO pretty with it's lovely framed background too.

Fantastic Christmas card Kate, that's another one by for when the time comes! Sorry, I've not visited your blog for a while, things have been a bit hectic as per usual but getting a few hours this afternoon to potter on the pc which is a nice change. Yes, the weather has definitely taken a turn for the worse, I'm glad you got home safely. My heating was turned off completely, then on the timer and now back on all the time! Hopefully this cold spell will be short-lived though. Sending my love. Shona xx

Geez, what a heart-stopping drive home that was, Kate! I was holding my breath as I read about it and I'm so thankful you got home safe! Your Christmas card conveys WARM wishes in every way! I feel like I could pick up that mug, give those cinnamon sticks a stir and have a big slurp! By the way, my friend, you aren't the only woman on the planet who hasn't read it! Me neither!! Hugs, Darnell

Quick rounds for me today Kate as I'm meant to be packing for my holiday. We've had the same changeable weather, literally 4 seasons in 1 day.
Lovely Christmas card, enjoy your Sunday - sometimes it's nice to just not do anything

Hi Kate

We had a strange mix of weather on Thursday when I was walking Mum out .. .. we kept diving into shops to take cover. It was fine as we set out then in the two hours we were out we were subjected to sunshine, rain, hail and winds. At least this weekend has been an improvement.

Pleased you got home safely. Sounds like yours was a much more scary journey!

Loving your heart warming Christmas card. A great image and I love the frame.

Hope the weather picks up for Alistair.

Love Jules xx

A super Christmas card Kate, it sounds like you needed a cup of hot chocolate when you got home from your friends. It has turned a bit chilly down south but certainly not cold enough for snow.
