In an English Country Garden!

Hello Blogging Friends and Visitors,  lovely to welcome you all here and I hope today finds your well and having a good day.

The sun is splitting the heavens here in Inverness, not a cloud in the sky ans so hot already. I doubt that there will be much getting done around the house today.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last cards and I am so pleased you found my Nativity story entertaining, as I said it still makes me laugh after all this time.

I've got a card today that I'm entering into; http://sirstampalotchallenge.blogspot.com/2019/05/may-in-english-country-garden.html
All of the stamps used here are from two issues of Creative Stamping magazine way last year and coloured with Zig watercolour pens and Versa Magic chalk ink. I've added flower sequins and a few tiny gems. I just love the lady....I like to think it's me lol!  but I'm not a gardener, I've wasted no end amount of money over the years we've been in this house, buying plants that die. Our neighbours have a lovely garden and we enjoy theirs. and they have a beautiful tree, the name escapes me at the moment, that attracts the birds and bugs with it beautiful purple cone shaped flowers. I know somebody reading this will know the name.

That's me for now, just a short post today, so I do hope you have marvellous weather wherever you are and enjoy what you're doing, take care,

A beautiful and full of delight is this card Kate.
With the Ink Art stamps... The postage overseas is $9.50, no matter how many stamps you get. And free for large orders over $150.
Sometimes people might assume things without realising. Dot sells to the UK every week . xx

You've created a lovely scenic card Kate. I'm not good in the garden I'm afraid.Spent lots of money but not much to show for it. I do envy those with green fingers. Hugs Christine xx

Sounds very much like a Buddlia to me Kate or Butterfly Bush as it's often know, we have a few but not in bloom yet. They come in some lovely shades of purples to pink and even white.

Your card is so pretty and also so very fitting for our 'In an English Country Garden' them at Stamping Sensations. Judging by her dress the weather there is much the same as you and I have right know, glorious. Thanks so much for joining us this month.

Love the English garden with the beautiful woman. I would like to think that's me as well but I would be in sweats bending over showing my fat fanny. I love planting flowers but i have no green thumb but my hubby does. I know the flower you are talking about but don't recall the name.

So Beautiful Kate, a lovely Summer day and a walk in gardens - anyone's! is just perfect, this card reminds me of that. It's lovely.

As for the bush it could be a buddleia, we have a purple and a white, which turned out to be pale lavender in colour LOL.

A beautiful summery card Kate. The lady looks so elegant gardening. Some sun here but sadly the winds are keeping it very cool . Xx

Such a beautiful card Kate. She is so pretty. Very English country garden. wouldn't it be lovely to float around the garden in a pretty chiffon dress and hat. In reality its a pair of joggers and a very old t-shirt with Franky says relax on it!! lol! Hope all is well. Hugs Flo xx

What a perfect use for those stamps! I had forgotten all about them.. .I file them and forget them!!!!
If the bush is in flower now then it would be Lilac....lilac and Springtime are the perfect partners.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi, Kate! I feel just like your gardener, except wouldn't wear a dress here to do the work LOL - so pretty with flowers and birds, all all things of Nature! The sponged grass and sky are just lovely! hugs, de

You have used the freebie stamps beautifully Kate to make this wonderful garden scene, and I love the colour palette and prettily coloured lady. As mentioned above it is the Butterfly Bush or Buddleia I think you mean which usually flowers later in the Summer. x
