Hummingbirds!

Hello Everyone, I hope all is well with you and that you enjoyed your weekend. We were quiet, but that was okay, not complaining, it wasn't great weather anyway, still isn't.
Anyway, here we are at the beginning of another week and almost out of June, where has the last six months gone???
I had to go to the Post Office to collect a parcel this morning, a hair clipper. I finally ordered one as Alistair's hair is pretty overgrown, and I've trimmed with a pair of hairdresser scissors  I found at the back of a drawer. Well the hairdressers make it look all so easy....no it's not, that's why they train for years to learn their skill, so I bit the bullet and ordered these clippers, although I don't expect they are easy to use either, but there are some You Tube videos that might help and Alistair seems to be okay if I scalp him lol.  I should take a before  and after  photo.

I have another lovely piece of colouring today,
Another one of the Clarity Feathered Friends postcards. Coloured with a selection of Prismacolours and Luminence Pencils. The black background was the most difficult part to do especially going in and out of the flower stamens, but got there in the end. Unfortunately it's not a brilliant photo as the colours in real life are more vivid than they are here.

That's me for now,  thank you for your continued visits and the lovely comments you leave. Take care of yourselves and see you soon,

I was lucky, I had clippers in the house, I did hubby's hair for years, then persuaded to go chat with the men! Now it's full circle and I'm doing it again LOL.

Absolutely beautiful colouring Kate gorgeous, love the black background, so much patience needed to do this.
Take care
Faith x

Another beautifully coloured postcard Kate, lovely colours - so pretty.
Good luck with Alistair's hair, my husband keeps asking me to do his but I'm not keen, I'm sure I will make a right mess of it - he cut my fringe for me and did a pretty good job!

Beautiful colouring of your image. I cut hubby's hair with a Tim Holtz sissors and managed to cut his ears. He was not happy. lol

WOW Kate, this is so stunning, I love it. The vibrant colours are fantastic. I had another little titter reading your hairdressing comment, I did train as a hairdresser on leaving school and qualified. I had my own business at 20 but the rheumatoid was starting to attack and after a few years I sold my little business to a family member. My friend has had to cut her hubby's hair otherwise he said he would shave it all off!lol. These last 4 months or so have taken its toll on many people

Stay safe and looking forward to seeing your next creation

June x

Oh my Gosh Kate this is totalling stunning. Love the colours and your colouring is ace. I have been watching Barbara but not done the last two doodling sesions in order to give my shoulder a rest. I do miss the doodles as I find it very relaxing. I have been cutting The Docs hair too and the hair thinner comb has arrived in the post for me to use on him!! hugs Mrs A.

Oh Kate, this is superb! What a lovely burst of color and beauty - aren't hummingbirds the most lovely! We've cut my son's hair this summer x2 with the clippers and finally he asked for a buzz cut - just shaved it right down to the scalp! It's so hot here I'm thinking he was the smarter one of the two of us, LOL! good luck and stay safe x0x0

The PO Kate, goodness you are lucky! Not that I've been out, but told/read our village PO has been closed since beginning of lockdown and box sealed up. So apart from a couple of willing delivery drivers been unable to send anything including challenge prizes.

Again your colouring is perfection and such beautifully old colours against the black.

Wow this is beautiful Kate, the colours are just gorgeous.
I have been clipping my hubby's hair during the lockdown, I won't let him any where near mine with the scissors though :) if you have a set of clippers with the spacing combs that attach you will be less likely to scalp him, lol.

Hi Kate,
I always used to cut both my husbands hair when they were alive.
Never like how they would cut it at the Barbers.
You should be okay it's quite easy and as you say there are U Tube videos too.
I used to use a beard trimmer for around the ears and the bottom of the back hair line as this was more managable to use than the big clippers.

I love your wonderful card and it's so colourful and very beautifully coloured.
The Humming Birds are so sweet too.

Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Good luck with Alistair's hair lol. I've been cutting my
Hubby's hair for quite a few years now and touch wood....no
disasters as yet....maybe I shouldn't test providence lol! Take
good care of yourselves.
Love & Hugs Jennifer xx.
