Just Thinking of You!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are enjoying your weekend and that you've had good weather. The weekends come around so quickly, it's scary.
It was my birthday yesterday and I had a lovely day, despite the lockdown, I had some beautiful gifts from friends and family, and some wonderful  handmade cards. As we couldn't get out for a birthday meal, we decided to risk a takeaway,  an Indian, and it was delicious and thankfully I didn't suffer too much.
This morning though I felt a bit flat, so Alistair suggested a trip out to Nairn, I love the sea and walking along the beach. However it is further away that we are supposed to venture, but after an hour of agonising over it, I decided to go, I don't normally break the rule, but it was well worth it as my spirits were lifted, and almost an empty beach. So that will keep me going for a while.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last card.
I've used a lovely Woodware stamp here and a background coloured with Oxide ink, I'm not sure of the sentiment as I made the card a couple of months ago, and a few tiny clear gems.

My birthday started with a laugh, here's why,

This was Alistair's card to me, he had left getting one to the day, and got up early to go to Tesco to buy one and some milk. Back he comes dashes upstairs to write it. When I opened I just ended myself laughing, he said I thought you would like the funny  animals. I showed him the card and asked him if  he's spotted what was wrong, eventually he did, it even had anniversary in the inside where he had written his own sentiment. So funny, I'll maybe get a birthday one for our anniversary lol. It's the thought that counts.

So that's me for now, enjoy the rest of your evening and I'll see you soon,

Happy Birthday! Isn’t it great to turn 29:) I have been 29 for a decade now. I am glad you got out and enjoyed your day. I love this card with the pop of the rainbow colours and the basic black stamp in front of pretty that I think I will copy it...if you don’t mind😁

Firstly Happy Anniversary, I mean Birthday LOL. I love his card, men ay? Great to have a laugh like that.

Your card is gorgeous, love those colours, the stamp and sentiment is wonderful with them.

I'm so glad you had a walk by the sea, it does make a difference when you are used to the seaside doesn't it? I have to admit we did the same one day last week. However the wind was so strong it would have blown into the sea, so we stayed in the rocking car!

Take care and enjoy your week.

Love your wonderful card and the gorgeous inked colours.
The stamped image is brilliant and such a lovely stamped sentiment too.
I did a similar thing many years ago with my Dad sent him a Birthday card on Fathers Day or vice versa not quite sure but everyone had a good laugh about it.

Gorgeous card, Kate! Love the bright and colourful background, against which the silhouette grasses stand out beautifully. Thank you for sharing it with us for our June Challenge at Stamping Sensations. Had to laugh at your hubby's card, but at least he remembered and got you one! Glad you enjoyed your trip to the beach, I'm sure it will have done you a lot of good and did no harm.

Wow! How beautiful Kate and love the way you have added the colours to the background and the silhouette flowers look beautiful and a great sentiment too. That stamp has been on my wishlist for a while and I will definitely be on the lookout for it as I just adore the mix of seed heads, so pretty. No wonder you laughed when you opened your card. Alistair's intentions were good, and it was early in the morning, and the meerkats are so Glad you had a lovely walk on the beach, and it wasn't busy so no harm done. One's wellbeing is important! x
