Buzzing By!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all doing well and looking forward to the weekend, perhaps you've got something special planned for it, well whatever, please keep yourself safe.

We are having awful weather, just not like Summer at all, rain, dull and somewhat cold, I've a big cardie on and even the heating, and it looks like next week has to be poor too.

Well, our travel restrictions have been lifted, so Alistair his hoping to get to the Cairngorms next week, And his friend Derek has book himself in with a barber, so it's all happening. I'm not affected by this, but for me it's the making of wearing face coverings compulsory in shops that I'm pleased about, though I do think it should have have happened right from the start of lockdown, but it's good news now.

I cut Alistair's hair, and I managed not too badly, just took my time, then it happened, I went too far at one part and kinda scalped him a bit. However he was pleased and said nobody would notice as he always wears his hat. He seems to want me to do it from now on, honestly he'll do anything to safe money lol.

Thank you all so much for your comments on my last post. Here is my card for today;
The image is from Woodware and I've added some little bees from Honey Bee  and Dovecraft. Papers are from Dovecraft  and the sentiment is Woodware. I've added WoS for a little sparkle and coloured with pencils.

That's me for now, I'll be back on Sunday with the latest CCC cards, till then enjoy your weekend and  keep safe,

Your bee hive looks so authentic and those bees are real cuties. I have to cut The
Doc’s hair tomorrow and will be using the trimmer for the first time. The dentist ran today and changed my appt to next Monday so have now got to sic my self up to going out . I have made face masks ( several in fact) so will be wearing one right up till those immortal words
Open wide,! I hate this new norm. Hugs Mrs

Love this sweet card. IT is so pretty and the bees add a touch of whimsy.

I agree with you about the masks. My family all wear one if we go out and I must say that the three times I have left the house, not many wear them. We pick up our groceries outside the store as too difficult to get a delivery date. Usually Al is the only one wearing a mask. And...no one ever wears gloves.

I cut Al's hair three times now. Like you it went not too badly, I just have to tell him over and over to stop moving his head!

Adorable bee card, Kate! Love the scene you created and the honeycomb background!
You made me smile with the image of your hubby little scalp and his wearing a hat :)
Many doctors here in Italy now say that masks are harmful to health. We breathe our own carbon dioxide and this weakens our immune system. A strong immune system is the only one that can help us if we come into contact with the virus.
In addition, normal tissue masks do not stop the Covid.

Cute card. Well done on cutting Alistair’s hair. Graham has an appointment on Tuesday and I am having my eyes tested. I wish the mandatory face masks applied in England too.

The haircut story made me smile Kate, can identify with it as hubby decided to buy some hair clippers so I could cut his hair - thought I had sussed how the different blades worked and was starting cautiously, no so and he looked like a badger from behind so ended up rather a short one.

At least you card is pretty and summery which is more than can be said for the weather.

Ahhh this is adorable, I love the colours you have gone for. My Mum cut my dads hair the other week, hes now sporting a wonky bit but since they are not out much it doesnt matter. Hope Alistair enjoys the hills. When my friend came up for England they were talking about being so near the cairngorm park to me and I was a tad confused. (Its because we just call them the hills!! ) Have a great weekend, Hazelxx

Hi Kate
Yes, its me. Don't be fainting with shock now.
I had to smile and comment on this one as my friend has just started keeping bees..............such a responsibility looking after 50,000 little souls. Two kitties is enough for me.
Lovely image and beautifully coloured as always.
I've been cutting Lee's hair for some years now and never get a tip.
Take care.

I love your beehive and sweet little bees Kate and the background paper goes beautifully, and your colouring is great. I'm glad the clippers worked fairly well, practice makes perfect I suppose. I hope you don't mind me saying but your text has gone very large, not sure whether it looks the same to you but all the words are merging together a bit, especially the tall ones and capitals. I don't know if this is something to do with the new Blogger interface but I haven't started to use it yet myself but must brave it soon...lol. x
