Hello Everyone, hope all is well with you and life is good.
Popping in today to show a card requested by a friend for her Brother's birthday, I actually made two to give her a choice,
I've used clocks and cogs from Lavinia Stamps latest release which has a Steampunk theme. I edged the card with gold Glistening polish and splattered gold mica on to it.
I will post the other card at a later date.
I'm sorry, that I'm not getting around to commenting as much as I used to, I'm afraid I'm find it a bit of a chore, I'm often just too tired. I think it must be all part of what's wrong just now. I haven't all that much inclination to make cards either, I've got to really push myself.
I've been blogging for a good number of years now, and perhaps it's time to stop, I've not entirely made up my mind on that one, but a lot of people seem to have gone that way, many are Followers, anyhoo, we'll see what happens.
Thank you very much for the lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciate them.
I'll say cheerio for now, and see you next time, take care,

I do hope you continue Kate as I love to visit and see what your up to and your visits to me. But I do know what you mean, so many have moved to such as FB, it's something I'm not into as find it doesn't hold the same friendliness as blogging.
Also know where your coming from on the inspirations side of things, since my last hospital procedure which went pear shaped I am struggling with craft. I tired hard to make something this afternoon and ended up reaching for more pain killers, then you end up with something your just not happy with.
I ramble on, don't get out much!! Sorry as I came to see your card and it really is a super masculine make.

These clocks and cogs are something a bit different for Lavinia, but they make a wonderful card, and the shiny gold edging really brings your eye in, and finished with some great spattering. Oh, Kate, I do hope that you don't decide to give up blogging as it would be such a shame as you create some beautiful cards and you would be greatly missed in Blogland. I'm sure we all understand if you don't get to comment as much as you used to, and not putting yourself under pressure will give you more energy to create which is what it is all about. I had to cut out commenting on Instagram and Facebook because I was not having enough time and energy to create and it has made such a difference. I still think that blogging is the best of the platforms, but I know others have been pushed towards Facebook and Instagram as they have become more popular and more people use them, but I don't find that they give as much creative satisfaction as there is to be had here, but this is my own personal opinion, and I'm not sure whether you use them anyway. I do hope that you do soon start to feel better. x
A perfect masculine card Kate, your finishing touches are wonderful
Your card is really fab Kate love those cogs! Blogland has changed so much since I started crafting and I must admit since my surgery it's been a real effort to craft and comment..but I love visiting friend's blogs to see what they have made. Take it easy hugs xxx
Hi Kate, your masculine card is gorgeous, love the new Lavinia stamp you used and the touches of gold make the design so elegant!
Sometime energy fails and commenting is time consuming. We all have these moments, especially in some moments of our life. I am neither on IG nor on FB and they do not attract me at all. But I think that blogging is better than the other socials, it's as a living room compared to a square... Here there are friends that give their time each others, there people are much more, but relationships are less friendly, at least so it seems to me.

This is a grand idea for a male card. I am rubbish at thinking up ideas to use for them. Do hope that you won't give up blogging. I do have a face book page but it is not used(only had it as a requirement for D.T. work, long gone) and certainly not any of the others. Have made some really good friends over the years on blogging and it is what is keeping me going now that we don't get out very much. Hugs Mrs A.
Wonderful card. Love the vintage feel.

Great card Kate…I know how you feel about blogging but at least the card making keeps me going so I think I will keep going for a bit longer…it’s a good way of keeping in touch…and I do love to see what people are making it gives me inspiration…take care xxxx
I love your fabulous masculine card Kate and I, also would hate to see you leave Blogland. I am on FB, due to some DT, but I would prefer the blogs, so much more can be made into a story. Not only that, but I rarely go there, I have difficulty keeping up with comments, but I don't mind if I comment and don't receive any back, although it's lovely when they do come through. I hope you feel better soon. Maybe when we have some heat and sun?
Take care.

I'm going to have to get this stamp set, I've seen several projects made with it now and I love it. A great masculine card design in my favourite Steampunk theme.

Oh I hope you don't stop blogging, I really love seeing your cards. This is a great masculine card with clocks and cogs. I only recently started really upping my blogging and visiting more blogs. I think some people go through peaks and valleys on blogging.
Great card Kate.
Totally understand what you mean about blogging, I often think the same myself. Xx
Hi Kate,
beautiful card fro the male people and such a fabulous stamp to use.
I feel exactly the same and have to push myself to card make and blog these days.
Thank goodness I am on a couple of DT's that keeps me going at the moment.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Super masculine card Kate, which I struggle with myself. I enjoy visiting your blog for the stories you have to tell about your daily life. But I do understand that it is time consuming. giving it up is something that has crossed my mind also as well as being on a design team. Hang in, we all get tired of it at some point, take some time away and see if you really do miss it.
Hugs

Kate, I think many of us struggle with being able to do as much as we used to. Sometimes, commenting is even too difficult emotionally/cognitively for me. But I've learned that our crafting community is very giving and understanding. LOVING your stenciling with the mica powders and added splatters! I imagine it looks very sparkly in person! Lovely creation! hugs, de
