Mistletoe and Wine or Anything Goes for the CCC!

 Hello Blogging Friends and Visitors, hoping you are well and have good plans for the weekend, even although it's just taking it easy, like us. The sun is just beginning to peek out of the clouds at the moment.

Anyhoo, another two weeks have gone by and it's time once again for the Christmas Card Club Challenge girls to show their cards, and this time the choice is Rita's and she has chosen Mistletoe and Wine. Or, Anything Goes is also a choice if you don't have anything to make the challenge. That's me this time, sorry Rita, I just couldn't find anything in my stash, but here is what I've come up with;

As you can see I've used Card-io stamps again, I'm having such a love affair with these stamps just now.  All sorts of sets of stamps have been used, too many to list, but if anyone wants to know, just get in touch. I like the idea of making the wreath card all in blue with just a little sparkle, which of course never shows up.

The first card was inspired by a Pinterest picture, don't know the maker though, and It was Lavinia stamps that were used, which I don't have, so I looked to see if the design could be made with Card-io stamps and here we are.

So Rita, thank you so much for the challenge, even although I couldn't managed the Mistletoe and Wine, I'm pleased with what I have managed.

So, that's me for now, I'm going to schedule this for tomorrow, Sunday, for when the challenges goes live.

Don't forget to keep your eye out for the other girl's cards, from the CCC,

Cowgirl!

 Hello Everyone, I hope all is well with you. We have had a day of rain, and quit cool too, so it's been a day indoors, but there is always lots to do there.....if you go and look lol, so I just sat and coloured, the dusting can be done another day. Oh the joys of retirement!.

Thank you so much for all the lovely comments on my last post. I appreciate the time everyone takes to visit and comment.

I have a Cowgirl tonight,

This beautiful drawing is by Christine Karron and I bought the PDF from her Etsy shop. I printed on to Crafters Companion  Neenah Desert Storm card, not really a coloured pencil paper, but it's done not too badly, then coloured with Prismacolor pencils and a little bit of white Posca pen. I'm rather pleased with how she's turned out, especially the plaits. I absolutely love Christine's drawings, they take me a while to finish though.

My Friend Fiona begins her treatment tomorrow, so I'm hoping that it all goes smoothly for her. Sadly she is having to go through it on her own, her mum was going to be with her, but it's not allowed, I bit harsh I think, although one level I can understand it, but this is a time when Fi really needs support, everything else is so opened up, really wrong.

Well that's me for now, enjoy your evening, take care of yourselves and see you soon,

Friends!

 Hello Everyone, I hope all's well with  you and your week is going well.

We had a lovely day with Alistair's niece on Sunday when we scattered he Dad's ashes, it all went well, and it turned out to be quite a jolly day with the telling of stories of Jim and Alistair growing up. There were five of us including Karen's boyfriend and two of Jim's friends. It was a long day though, six hours of driving for us, so Alistair was whacked by the time we got home, but who would have thought that scattering ashes could have been so much fun.

Anyhoo, here tonight with a coloured page,

From Colouring Heaven colouring book Mermaid Special, I've used Pablo pencils and Castleart  pastel pencils, gel pen, Stickles and DI. There are so many lovely drawings in this book it's difficult to make a choice.

Thank you all for the lovely comments on my last card, so much appreciated.

Well that's me for now, time for a cuppa and into the pjs, keep yourselves safe,

Sentiment as Main Focus for CCC!

Hello All, another weekend, gosh they come around quickly and so does the two weekly Christmas Card Club Challenge, I can hardly believe that two weeks have gone already.

 Anyhow, I hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend.

We are quiet today, but tomorrow, we are meeting Alistair's Niece Karen to scatter her Dad's ashes. It's happening beyond Glencoe so it's a long drive for us, but Jim requested this as it's a loch he used to fish at, it's Loch Ba. So up bright and early as I'll have to take a motion sickness tablet two hours before  we go, it's all  twisty, windy roads and I hate them. Of course poor Alistair has to do the driving. It is beautiful scenery though and I find Glencoe's scenery spectacular.

So on to my card and this time around Elizabeth chose the theme and wants to see the sentiment as the cards focus,

Quite a simple card, I just inked up the background in various blue inks and splattered with silver paint. I found this sentiment die in a drawer, so I don't know which brand it is. Mounted it on to glitter card and added some silver dots. Cardi-io stamps on the envelope. I hope this will do Elizabeth, it's a lovely challenge and I did enjoy it, thank you.

Thank you for all the lovely comments you left on my last post, so very kind.

That's me for now, scheduling my post for tomorrow, Sunday for when the challenge goes live. Take card of yourselves and see you soon.

Christmas Gramophone and Colourful Socks!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying life.

Living quietly here, weather's not great, much too windy for me to get out walking, but certainly still enjoying my aqua classes, if only the water was warmer, in fact I would love it to be tropical lol.

Thank you all so much for you lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciate you time to visit and comment.

I have a coloured page tonight;

 This lovely images is from Johanna Basford's 2021 Diary and I've coloured it entirely with gel pens, all different brands. I never did manage to complete the pictures in the diary, maybe one day.

My latest socks, I had the yarn for the first pair for years, and I'm so glad I finally got around to kitting it up as I love the colours, It's Regia sock yarn.

I can't remember what yarn the blue pair is knitting in, but it's called Christmas yarn and it has a lovely silver thread through it. It's certainly still knitted sock weather up here.

That's me for tonight folks, keep yourselves well and see you soon,

Winter Breeze!

 Hello from a very sunny Inverness, cool in the shade though, but at least I can have the heating off.

Another week over, or just about, hard to believe we are not far off mid year, scary or what.

I've got another Card-io card today,

I've used one of the new stencils, Round Tree and stamps from the Winter Breeze set. I've tried to put marking on the tree, but it's something I'll have to practice.

Thank you for you lovely comments on my Masque.

Just a short post today, not much news from my way.

Enjoy your weekend and see you soon,

Masquerade Masque!

 Hello Everyone, hope you are well and your week's got off to a good start.

We are a bit up and down weather wise, still having to put the heating on for a wee while, hoping for the heatwave that's supposed to be coming.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last post, as always I appreciate every one of them.

I have a completed picture today;

From Midnight Masquerade, by Hanna Karlzon, it's the opposite page to the lovely lady I coloured a few weeks back. Coloured with Prismacolors, Posca pen and gel pens. Soft pastels for the background.

Just a quick post tonight, so I'll say cheerio for now and see you soon,

Clean and Simple or Anything Goes for CCC!

 Hello Everybody, I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

We had nothing planned, it's such a dreich day here that it's a day for indoors, although I did a bit of shopping this morning for food, I hate shopping at the best of times, but food just seems a waste of  time, and the prices are going up in leaps and bounds. It's even getting too expensive to shop in Aldi. I think we are away to hell in a basket.

Anyway, here to show my card for the Christmas Card Club Challenge and this time it's or Gwen who has chosen the theme and it's Clean and Simple, or if you can't manage that, Anything goes;

As you can see I've used Card-io stamps again, the sets I've used are Beau Baskets, Winter Blooms, Elegant Baubles, Festive Fir Cones and Winter Wishes for the Sentiment. I have a brick stencil which I've used in the background, added gold Liquid Pearls to the centres of the poinsettias, and Glitter to the baubles. Added a pen frame and mounted on to some red card from SU.

I am really enjoying my Card-io stamps, but I'm needing practice in positioning them.

Thank you Gwen for a lovely challenge I did enjoy it.

That's me for now, scheduling this post for tomorrow for when the challenge goes live.

Cheerio for now,
