Fairytale Forest!

Hello Everyone, back at last. Sorry not to have been around over the week, but I'm afraid I just felt completely washed out with this medical procedure, so tired and concerned as I couldn't eat for a couple of days and couldn't take my insulin. I had to drink some awful solutions, totally vile, I really don't want to have to do it again, so I do hope the camera managed to get all the photos it needs inorder to let the consultant see what's going on.

Anyway, I hope you are all well and that you have good plans for the weekend, if it's just a quiet one your having.

Thank you for your good wishes on my procedure and for the lovely comments on my CCC cards, always so appreciated.

I have a coloured page today;

This lovely picture is from Christine Karron's beautiful book Fairies and Fantasy Grayscale colouring book.

I've coloured the page in mainly Caran d'Ache Luminance pencils. Prismacolours were used to create that firey red hair, and a mixture of Luminance and Derwent Drawing pencils for the trees.

I am so delighted with how this has turned out as I steer away from pictures like this, but I've managed it quite well and has given me confidence to tackle more portrait pictures.

This is the name plate, I always try to do this page as it's a good way of testing out what pencils suit the paper, but I think this is quite a pretty illustration.

It's a dull day here, don't think there is much prospect for sunshine. I can hardly believe how far along in the year we are, it's another one that is speeding past.

Sorry not to have been visiting your blogs, and it's too far along to catch up, but hopefully I can get around them now.

I'll finish off now and and keep safe and I'll see you soon,

What a beautifully coloured page Kate, well they always are of course. My youngest son and o/h are now up in Sky having travelled the coastline but not seen much in the way of sunshine apparently. Such in August in the UK this year.

I'm not surprised you have been feeling a little washed out, I hope it was all worth while and you receive good news when you get the results.

Hi Kate, I'm so sorry to hear you have been unwell . Hopefully the tests have done the trick and they now know how to treat it. It's so difficult for you when you are too unwell to have your insulin.I hope you are starting to feel a bit better now. Your colouring page is absolutely gorgeous and your colouring is brilliant. Take care. Big hugs. Christine xx

Lovely page and great colouring, I do like the name plate.

Some of these procedures they put us though are bad but I suppose without them they would not find out whats wrong with us, I do hope they find out and can treat you quickly.
Take care sending you a hug

That sounds horrible what you had to go through. I. Sorry I have not been here myself. I hope you can get back on your insulin soon. Never feel bad for not visiting. You need to feel better. I just love your coloured page with the beautiful face you coloured in that is so well done. You can truly colour and mesh the colours so well like the woods behind her. I have to go for a total hysterectomy but not sure when. Seeing Dr on September 8th. So hoping all goes well.

So beautifully coloured Kate and love the way you have coloured her dress and given her that gorgeous red hair. You will have been glad to get that horrible procedure over with and can quite understand that it rather upset your system and made you feel rather tired and out of sorts. Hope you are feeling better now. x

A beautiful page Kate, the colours you have chosen look amazing with that image. I hope you are starting to feel much better now, the weather doesn't do much to perk up anyone's mood though does it? Where has our sunshine gone?
Take care,
Lorraine
