Well, Alistair at long last got up his mountain, he and his friend Derek climbed up Cairngorm on Friday and he is still recovering, but had a great time and it was worth all the struggle to get to the top. His leg were so sore and he was kinda useless for a few days, he is now admitting that he's getting old, bless.
Anyway, I have another completed colouring book page from Maria Trolle's Nightfall book'
I've used Black Widows colour pencils except for the bowl where I used Prismacolours and tried to get a brassy look to it, I think I managed it not too badly. I decided to colour the background and used Faber Castell pastels, this is the first time I've tried this, needs a little practice but it's okay. It took me about a week to complete spending a couple of hours a day. Hope you like it.
Thank you for the kind comments on my last post, I always appreciate them.
That's me for tonight, continue to keep yourselves safe, the virus is still very much out there,

Your colouring is stunning Kate a beautiful project
A lovely page Kate it makes you want to climb up that little ladder and pop into one of those little tree houses! Wouldn’t that be nice, if only one could! Brilliantly coloured too, stay safe x
Just stunning colors and coloring Kate.
Hugs Diane
Another beauty! Great coloring page! I think I am going to buy this book. I love your coloring, Kate. Great colors on the flowers and yes, my friend, the bowl has a brassy look. Your idea of coloring the background with pastels is great. I have Jane Davenport's pastels and I love them. Hugs, sweetie!
Fabulous colouring on your page, Kate! And such lovely image, I would love living on this tree :D

Oh Kate, that is one fabulous coloring page! I love the vibrant colors and Id say you acheived the brassy look. That is one fun treehouse! It sounds like A also had a lot of fun making it up the mountain - even if he needed to rest a wee bit after :) Inky hugs!
Hi Kate
What wonderful colouring. My pencil work never looks like that!
Hope your hubby has now recovered from his adventure!
Love Jules xx
This is gorgeous, I really like the bright, vibrant colours you have chosen x

Wow ...what a wonderful image and so beautifully coloured Kate. I think you've done a marvellous job x Glad Alistair could finally get up the cairngorms x.
Glad Alistair managed his climb up Cairngorm but sorry to hear he suffered rather afterwards. Unfortunately these things need to be done regularly I suppose and with lockdown, not possible. There is the saying'use it or lose it' and I think it applies to anything and everything..lol. I think I will find my singing much more difficult as haven't been doing much practice and the higher notes do seem to get harder when you don't sing regularly, so not sure how it is going to be when we finally manage to get back to singing. Anyway, on to your beautiful colouring. I love the colours and the design is a bit like an exotic tree house, an interesting concept..lol, but seriously you did a great job. x
What a fun image and you have colored this up so beautifully, Kate. Love the colors you chose too.
Hugs
Sue
