Oh Christmas Tree!

Hello Everyone, how are you all doing? I hope things are good for you and and that you are enjoying the weekend.
Nothing much new in the Currie household, a quiet sort of weekend for us, although we had a lovely walk up at the Culloden Battlefield this morning. It's great to walk around it without the usual crowds that visit during  the Summer months.

We had the Mother of all thunderstorms yesterday, there was one thunderbolt that sounded that the sky was ripped apart and then rain like I've only seen abroad. It's a little cooler today thankfully, but still very muggy.

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my last card, I've got a card today that I want to enter into two challenges; http://www.didosdesigns.com/2020/06/fezziwigs-photo-inspiration-week-2.html

Sorry about the poor photo, anyhoo, this is all from a Die Cut sheet I bought in the Works last year but didn't use any of it. There is about 12 sheets and they are really lovely, and lovelier still is that I've kept it all flat for posting. I've added some tiny gems and some Wink of Stella.

I have missed browsing in the Works as they can have some really super stash and for not that many pennies, but not doubt they will be opening again fairly soon in Scotland. However, I am of a mind that I won't be venturing into shops for a long time yet.   I can see that Alistair and I will be one of the last to get back to normal...whatever that is Lol.

Anyway, that's me for now, must go and forage from some lunch., so remember to keep yourselves safe and enjoy your weekend and see you soon,

Lovely card,
Yes it’s cooler down here in somerset, it should be Glastonbury this weekend and it always rains when the festival is on, this year no traffic, no manic site traffic it’s all peace and quite and yes we had rain over night and this morning. My garden did need it after the high temperatures of the last few days that just knocked me out.
You won’t be the only ones not going shopping we will be one of last too, our shops are beginning to open and although we have been to the garden centre that’s been it, my hairdresser has already given me an appointment for my hair at the end of July. The restaurants and pubs are opening up from the 4th July (My birthday). but my hubby has said we won’t be going in any time soon. I was looking forward to having a meal out for my birthday, won’t be happening this year.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.

A Beautiful card and images Kate, good to find stuff and think they are really good and have to make a card with them, no matter how old. Yep! we had a "cracking" storm too, WOW!, just as well it didn't last long. I'm still nervous about shops too, although I HAD to go to The Range last week, plenty of space in the craft section thankfully. Made sure there was around me too, even with my mask on.
Take care
Faith x

Even far across the oceans and over to the west coast of Canada, the weather is still crazy here too. Some Hot humid days that made me wish for an air conditioner, and then terrible rain storms where the rain just pelted up off anything it touched!

Crazy weather!

Your card is lovely. I really fell in love with the works when I was last in Britain. IT was so reasonable and had a good selection of items. I am still using the teensy diamonds that I bought there as they do not have much depth so sail through the regular post price depth marker slot at the post office!

Their dies were well priced too...

Your card is lovely. I like the sort of shabby chic, (primitive art they call it here) look of it.

So far, i have not bought ny craft supplies.
i did get a present in the mail of some glittery sentiment stickers, from a blog friend, but that has been my only new purchase.

My local papercraft store has a video out every day at 2:00
They have been very successful with running their business this way as it seems everything they showcase is sold out that same day. You then drive up and they walk your order out to your car and leave it on the sidewalk for you. I must say that I have been tempted but decided to use my craft stash at home during this hunker down home time.

We do not plan to shop or venture out other than walking, till there is a vaccine. We can now have the kids and grandkids in our back garden, socially distanced. We bought a second table to two and we use that to sit on in the lower patio. Three steps is is a larger patio with patio table seating for 6.
We bleach the metal chairs, table top, gate handle etc after they all leave! We can not share food so Al orders Pizzas or buckets of chicken as two separate orders. A big bucket of chicken for them and a individual meals for us. We get the place we order from to include drinks and utensils for the kids.
Then we sit separately and enjoy our meals about 12-15 feet apart!

That is the sum total of our social life...

Oh what a fun walk that must have been - seeing an old battlefield and just getting out of the house! I am glad the storm is gone - how scary! Florida in the summer is like that ever other day - and it last for 5 minutes or 5 hours - we never know! So your card - SUPER cute! Love the wonderful tree and the paper - I can see why you'd want to use all of it. Sometimes it's hard for me to USE It and not hoard it :) Have a great weekend, my friend!

We've been lucky to miss most of the storms and heavy rain here, a little cooler today which suits me fine.
A lovely, rustic feel to this card Kate, I love the colours.

Hi Kate, What a lovely Christmas card you made! I do not mind about the quality of the photo, your card is just perfect! Hope the weather is better in your place today. In Greece we have a sunny weekend and it is very hot. I heard that in Wednesday the temperature will be at 37 Celsius degrees. Kisses, my dear friend.

The sunshine was nice but as always come as a bit of a shock as we seem to go from one thing to another overnight, today wind and rain.

A pretty card and although I don't often use DP's I do buy them to stroke and was impressed by those from the Works, good quality and value for money.

Like you I have no urge to go far, in fact a couple of trips to the nurse for my monthly jab has been it outside our own grounds since 6th March. My letter the other day said I can stop shielding beginning August but I won't be in any rush.

Your post reminds me of Outlander, talking of Culloden. Fab card, must get cracking on more Christmas cards. We haven’t ventured into the city shopping yet, don’t feel safe enough to.

Hi Kate,
Happy Rudolf Days.
what a very fab card and the design looks brilliant.
I bet the colours in real life are so pretty.
I agree The Works is a fab place to browse and buy form.
I too miss it.
I also am wary about going out any where at the mo.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
