A Jar of Budleias!

Hello Everyone from a bright and sunny Inverness....although we have flood alerts going on!  Let's hope not as there doesn't seem to be any sign at the moment.
Any way, I hope you are all in fine fettle and that you have a good weekend planned. I'm going for my annual eye test today, and hoping very much that my eyes won't have changed all that much that I will need new specs. I love the frames, and I have and managed to keep them for the last few years. Despite having diabetes, my eyesight is still not too bad and doesn't change all that much from year to year.  Anyhoo, we'll see.....no pun intended.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my Frosty and Bright card, much appreciated.

Today's card is another one for a challenge;
https://theflowerchallenge.blogspot.com/2020/02/the-flower-challenge-41-add-leaves.html

Another LOTV floral image and I think the blooms are Budleias, and I've coloured with Tombow watercolour brush pens, which I think are fabulous. I first stamped the image with Versafine ink. Added WoS for some shimmer and a few small pearls. The sentiment is one from the latest Creative Stamping magazine. A bunch of love stamps and sentiments in this edition. I've used some coloured card for both matting and as a base card.

Nothing all that much planned for us, but as we are out at the opticians, I thought we might as well get some food shopping done and have tomorrow as a day off sort of thing.

That's all for now, take care of your selves and see you soon,

love your colouring Kate, the flowers are beauties, hope your opticians appointment went well, I hate having to get a change of frames and always hope the ones I have are ok or if I need new that the style is still available

I was in the same state as you Kate, with glasses, then changed them and can't see properly, they say the varifocals have changed shape, I say they have placed them wrong, but now I have to live with them for a couple of years at least! grr.

I love your beautiful card Kate, I think those flowers could be Lilac, but buddlea are similar, whatever they are, they are coloured beautifully.

I hope the impending storm Ciara won't cause you too much disruption and damage up there in Scotland, we have been warned of damage, we hope it won't be as bad as they promise - fingers crossed. Take care.

What a lovely bouquet of flowers, it has a country feel in that casual vase. I hope your optician visit goes well! My family has all been needing to go also. So far, we did new a new pair of glasses for one son, but his old ones were breaking anyhow, as kids are harder on glasses than adults!

These buddleia flowers are so pretty Kate and love your watercolouring with the brush pens and I love the pink sentiment, the colour of which is echoed in the purply pink mat and such a lovely colour green for the base card too. Hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend. x

Love this beautiful stamp Kate. You have certainly used it perfectly too. Love the colour combinations. Hope all goes well with the eye test, mine is due in March and like you say it's a bonus if it's ok. Keep yourselves safe as the weather is dreadful down here this weekend. Hugs Rita xxx

Gorgeous card with those lovely flowers. I had a lovely surprise on Friday when a delivery van drove up with the most beautiful arrangement of roses and freesias - no not from John!!! They were from my favourite cousin who had forgotten my Big 0 birthday in November. he and his wife had sent me a card but not a special one, and bless him he was mortified when he remembered. Didn't worry me in the least because he had remembered my birthday, but the flowers were so special. And I didn't even have to arrange them which is just as well because I am hopeless! Hugs Christine xx
