Hello!

Hello Blogging Friends and Visitors, I hope you are well and enjoying your weekend, another one that's come around so quickly.

I've been making another journal page continuing the theme of the Ocean/Underwater,

Here we have the lovely mermaid Guinevere popping up to say hello to fairy Nia who has been having a wee sail in her boat. A little seahorse has also popped up too.

I started off with Lavinia Watercolour card, and make the sea and sky with Gansai Tambi watercolours, then used Element inks to give depth. I've coloured with Zig clean Colour watercolour pens. Lavinia Stamps are now stocking both of these products, though I've had them both for a number of years, but forget to use them. Gel pens and Stickles for some sparkle. The sentiment is from Lavinia stamps, sticker sentiments. I'm rather pleased with how it's turned out.

Thank you so much for your comments on my last post, you are as always very kind.

Off to have a wander through Blogland to see what you have posted, take care and see you soon,

Happiness Flying Home!

Hello Everyone, I hope things are going tickity boo for you all, and that your having a good week so far.
Our weather is so up and down just now, wearing a fleece one day and a tee shirt another. Still, nowhere near the extreme weather that some countries are experiencing, frightening and heartbreaking for the people concerned, not to mention the poor wildlife.
It amazes me that there are still people refusing to believe that the climate is knackered, and our political leaders are really doing nothing to help combat it.

Anyway, I'm here tonight with something a wee bit different, it's the first page of my Lavinia Calendar 2024,

I've coloured the background with Elements ink and stamped various tree images along with the lovely flying owl. Sentiments are from Lavinia's sticker sentiments. Splatters of Posca and waterdrops. Fairy has her wings coloured with gel pens with colours to tie in with the sky.
Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, that's all for now, take care of yourselves

A Winter Village for CCC!

Hello Everyone, I hope your weekend is going well and that you are all feeling good, but if not so much sending kind and healing thoughts to you.

Yes, it's Christmas Card Club Challenged once again, I honestly think that the time in between them is getting shorter.

Anyway it's cards showing a Winter Village that's asked for this time, or of course there's always Anything Goes is you can't manage the theme.

Well of course this is s fairy winter village,  with Dragon Stone Castle on a hell in the background, and little Pixi houses and some fairy houses, all set in the forest. It's pretty cold as the village has icicles hanging down and there's lots of sparkly snow on the ground.

We have been glued to the Tour De France for the last couple of weeks, I love looking at the scenery as the cyclists go past, some spectacular scenes, and this year quite a lot of crashes, always horrible to see and quite a few riders injured and unable to carry on with the race. Tomorrow is the last day and really just a cycle round Paris, I just hope there's no disruption from protesters.

Anyhoo, do have a look at what the other CCC girls make, there is always fabulous cards.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments left on my last post.

Enjoy your weekend, thank goodness the weather has picked up a bit, take care and see you soon,

The Greenman!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and having a good weekend.

Lots of rainy weather here, quite a change from the lovely warm sunshine of a few days ago.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments you have left on  my previous card, much appreciated.

My card today is my entry for the Lavinia Stamps Creative Challenge, which is My Favourite Stamp, here is my favourite,

You have seen this chappie before, the Greenman. It makes such a fabulous masculine card I think. Inked in various colours of Versafine Claire and Zig Clear watercolour pens. Stencil and sentiments are from Lavinia,  embellished with gold gel pen.

Just a short post tonight, take care,

This lovely fairy is Josie, and the stencil in the background is Replenish, sentiment is also from Lavinia Stamps as s the little butterfly.

I never make tags, just at Christmas, but I enjoyed making this one and think I'll do more.

Anyway, that's me for now, off to make some soup, that's about all we feel like for dinner, so take care of yourselves and see you soon,

Penguins for the CCC!

Hello Everyone, where has the last

fortnight gone??? it's time once again for the Christmas Card Club to show their Christmas cards with Penguins.

Now I have two cards this time

These little guys are all from Card-io, and the sentiments are from Lavinia Stamps. Lots of Stickles in Star Dust, not that you can see it all that well.

Now my next card I thought was a penguin and I was happily colouring it in and it wasn't till I came to his nose that I noticed that it was indeed a snowman, where on earth my head was I do not know, anyway I thought I would just include it today. Alistair said I could call it a  Snowquin,

How could I have thought that was a penguin 😆.  I've coloured him with Tombow markers and added Stickles. I've used a Card-io sentiment.

I hope everyone is keeping well and not melting in the heat, I was yesterday. We were supposed to have thunder storms last night, but they didn't happen, but very heavy rain early this morning. Still very humid though.

Anyhoo, enjoy your Sunday, take care and see you soon.

Look what I've found!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and having a good week.  I can hardly believe that we are at mid week already, the days, and weeks are just speeding by.

Thank you to all who left such lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciate them.

Last year I bought a small journal from Lavinia Stamps, and had been following the fabulous Jo Rice as she created such wonderful pages in her journal. I eventually got around to making a start in mine and here it is,

This is the first page and  once again I've made an underwater scene. In fact, I intend to make the journal all about underwater/ the ocean. Why? I don't know, lol. I've used the lovely Guinevere and she is surrounded by her friends as she shows them the sea urchin she's found.

I did enjoy creating this page.

That's me for now, take care of yourselves and see you soon,

Sweet Poppy Seahorse!

Hello Everyone, finally I'm back, and I hope you are all well.

We are back from a few days in York, and it was just a lovely break away.
It's been over twenty years since we've been there, and not much change except the expense. Couldn't believe it was £16 per adult to get into the Minster. We got in for nothing years ago. Changed times.

The heat was tremendous, made wandering around so tiring. My friend Mrs. Duck, some of you might have followed her lovely blog a while back, came up with her Husband to spend some time with us and that was just wonderful. It'd been around 6years since we last met up. Ang had never been to York, so she enjoyed he visit. Didn't get to Betty's though, queues a mile long.

Anyhoo, I thought I would post another underwater card,

This lovely seahorse is from Sweet Poppy Stamps, and I've mixed it with some of the Lavinia Foliage stamps and some Sea Urchins. Elements Inks, and some Sparkle.

Hope you like it.

That's me for now, hoping to get around to see what you've been creating. Enjoy your Sunday, take care,
