Non Traditional Colours for the CCC!

Hello Everyone, I hope your weekend is going well, and that your weather is good.

It's time once again for the Christmas Card Club Challenge and this time it's our lovely Zoe who's chosen Non Traditional Colours as the theme. Well I've managed two cards, one is certainly non trad, not too sure about the other one;

This is a Woodware stamp, I think it's one of the new ones for this season, as you can see the colours are not traditional ones. Coloured with a mixture of Copics and Spectrum Noir markers, some gems and Stickles.

Another Woodware gnome stamp, and it took me ages to work out that his hat is a snowman, anyhoo, all shades of blue and coloured again with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers.Sequins and Stickles. I hope these will do Zoe, and thank you for the super challenge, much enjoyed.

What a fright I got the other night when I heard an almighty thud, and realised that Alistair had fallen out of bed. Now our bedroom is tiny, not much room to swing a cat, and the poor man had landed awkwardly in the small space between the bed and the wall, and I thought I'm never going to get in there to help him up, luckily, he managed to get on his knees and gradually back on to the bed, he was still half asleep. Said he wasn't hurt so thankfully we settled down. Knowing he was okay...I always worry about him cracking his head on the bedside cabinet, and also injuring his hip, I kept playing it around my mind until I was laughing hysterically. His guitar is leaning against the wall, and his behind somehow got wedged in the strings, I've never seen anything so funny, so asking him what on earth happened, he said he was skiing and came off the edge of the cliff as someone was chasing him. Now he often had dreams where he is skiing, but this is the first time he's come a cropper. We are still laughing about it.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my last post. Since then I've finished another pair of socks and received some new yarn to knit socks for Christmas presents.

Remember to have a look at what the other CCC girls have created, their cards are always fabulous.

That's me for now, keep safe and  see you soon,

Thank goodness Alistair didn't hurt himself and you can both have a laugh about it now - maybe time to keep the guitar in a different place in case his dream reoccurs :o)

Both fabulous stamps and colouring Kate, I love the different colours on the first one. The second, does take some working out I agree. Love your colouring of it though.
So funny about Alistair's dream, poor man. The strings got me and going off a cliff. :D I'm happy to hear he isn't harmed though.
Keep safe and well

Oh dear, I shouldn't laugh but your explanation of Alistair falling out of bed was so funny, and luckily he was OK. I love your super gnomes, and the second certainly puzzled me to start off with until I realised what you said about the snowman hat and then I could see it. Two brilliant cards Kate. x

Two great gnome cards Kate. What are these men up to? John did something similar about 10 days ago. We have twin beds now because John needs the head of his bed raised for medical reasons. We initially raised our own bed but I just kept sliding down to the bottom and it was so uncomfortable so we moved into the twin bed guest room instead. The beds are quite close together and he fell into the very narrow space between them. He didn't know where he was or what he'd done. And then he couldn't get up. Like you I could do nothing but laugh! No guitar though - no room for it ...lol! Take care Christine xx PS My card will be up tomorrow, I ran out of time.

Two lovely cards, I like the second one took me a time and reading that the snowman was his hat.

I hope he is fully recovered, it was not funny to fall out of bed, bu5 what a brilliant reason to be skiing., something I always wanted to do and never had the chance to do, it’s too late now.
Hooe you have a good week.

Two fun cards Kate, I love the first one.....gnomes seem to be in fashion at the moment lol! The second card had me fooled for a while but having re-read your post, realised the snowman was actually a hat lol! Hope Alistair is ok and has had no problems since falling out of bed, I think this happens more often than we realise. Enjoy the rest of your week. Stay safe and well Kate.
Love & Hugs Jennifer xx.

Hi Kate

Great gnome themed cards .. .. lovely colour choices.

I hope that Alistair is OK after his fall. Sorry but I did smile at imagining him getting entangled with the guitar (must warn my youngest son not to leave his too near his bed .. .. just in case LOL!).

I hope all is well with you.

Love Jules xx
