Off to Sea in a Blue Boat!

Hello Friends and Visitors, I hope you are well and that you all had a good weekend. We had a quiet one, though we did go for a drive through to Nairn, but it was so busy, we decided to go with plan B and shop in Sainsbury. That wasn't a great experience either, quite a few empty shelves. So bought what I could then drove home. The highlight of the drive was spying a field of alpacas, but we couldn't stop as they were quite far in and we would probably be trespassing. I do love these animals, they are so sweet, and their fleece makes for even warmer knitted garments than sheep yarn.

Our boiling heat and blazing sunshine has disappeared somewhat, thankfully, and I think we has some rain through the night. What a sad state this planet is in with all the extreme weather some countries are experiencing, my heart goes out to all the peoples suffering either from the floods or the fires, not just people either, all the poor animals that are loosing their lives too is just so awful. I really hope humanity can do something about it, or there's going to be no planet left.

With that less than cheery note, here is today's coloured picture;

Another of Johanna Basford's books, this is the first page I've done in it and used mainly Caran D'Ache Luminance pencils, my background was made with DI, still learning how to blend them well. As usual I added Stickles for some sparkle. On the whole I'm pretty pleased with it.
Thank you so much for all the lovely comments on my previous card.
That's me for now, keep safe and I'll see you soon,

A Blue Birthday!

 Hello Everyone, are you surviving the heat? it's marvellous even if it's too hot for me to sit out, Somehow when the sun's shining it makes me want to get on with chores.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last post, always appreciated.

My card tonight is one I made for my friend Rita's birthday earlier this month.

This stamp is y Heartfelt, and I first heat embossed it then added Gansi Tambi watercolours, and some sparkle. Blue glitter card and a marbled paper. Sentiment is from Woodware. Pleased to say Rita liked it.

So we have more sport to look forward to, the Olympic Games. Alistair has been warned, I will confiscate the remote control. I put up with the football, the Tour I actually enjoy, but athletics not. However, I'm sure many of your lovely people will be tuning in to them.

Well, that's me for now, I'm going to visit your blogs and see what you've all been up to, so till next time take care of yourselves and see you soon,

Blue and Silver for CCC!

 Hello To Everyone, I hope you are all well. We have boiling hot weather, too hot for me, but I'm not complaining.

The last two weeks have sped by and it's now time for another Christmas Card Club Challenge, and this time the choice was made by our lovely Linda, who is now sadly not part of our little team, she has gone on to do different things, She chose Silver and Blue, here is what I've managed;

I've used these lovely dies from Carnation Crafts, the deer are called Magnus and Mya, and I had already printed them out in a sort of mono shade that I thought looked sort of silvery, as did the trees. Silver glitter card and blue card with a white glitter card in the background. SU sentiment Silver Embossed with WOW Powder, silver gel pen. Snowflakes are cut with silver glitter card, they are Carnation Crafts too. Finished off with some clear gems.

I think it's turned out well, so if you happen to visit Linda, it was a lovely challenge that I did enjoy.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my previous post, I love reading your comments and appreciated everyone of them.

Well it's too hot to do much, although I've washed the inside of the windows, Alistair washed the outside this morning whilst I was in town, so that is the extent of my housework for today.

I hope you are enjoying some good weather too, but keep yourselves safe, it's so worrying that the virus is gathering apace again, at least masks are mandatory here in Scotland.

This will be a scheduled post for when the CCC goes live tomorrow, till next time

Thank You!

 Hello Everyone, I hope you day is a good one. We have rain and oh so dull, it feels cold in the house, but I'm resisting putting some heating on, so load up with cardies and the oven is now on for tonight's dinner, so hoping the place will heat up, I mean it is July.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my Shark picture, you are all so kind.

I have a card today,

I made this card for a lovely Blogging Friend who gifted me a whole bunch of fabulous crafting goods.

It's a woodware stamp, and I've coloured it up with Derwent Procolour pencils, and added a little bit of Stickles. A little heart gem beside the sentiment which I can't think where that's from. I do love toadstools and mushrooms,  to colour and on cards, not all that keen of eating them...well you wouldn't eat toadstools anyway lol.

We have had the Tour De France on all afternoon, and the cyclists  have been going through some awesome countryside, and they've just gone through Andorra in the Pyrenees, which brought back memories of a holiday a number of years ago. We stayed a couple of days in Andorra, and as the Tour were going through I recognised the hotel we stayed in. It's just one long street, but Alistair managed to sniff out an outdoor shop where he bought a sleeping bag, I gulped at the price of it, but apparently he could use it in artic conditions....so he says, and it weighs nothing. Men too justify their purchases lol.

Well that's me for today, enjoy the remainder of your Sunday, and keep yourselves safe,

The Laughing Shark!

 Hello Everyone, I hope you all had a lovely weekend, and that your week is off to a good start.

We've had the thunder, lightening and rain in rods over the weekend, but it's not too bad a day today. Alistair and I have gotten a bit of gardening done this afternoon and I was at my aqua class this morning. It never ceases to amaze me that I love it, especially as I'm not an exercise kind of girl.

I only manage two classes a week, at the moment there are only three, and I have to be up for the booking line opening at 6.30 in the hope I can get a place as there are only 9 places due to the covid regulations. This of course might change over the coming weeks.

I'm not happy that restrictions are being lifted in England, and I'll be even more unhappy if our Nicola follows suit. I will be wearing my mask for the foreseeable future. I'd hate to think I would be responsible for passing the virus on. There are still too many unknowns at the moment and independent scientists....not those on the Sage teams who follow Johnston, think it's stupid to throw away masks and social distancing. I'm following them.

We will however have to learn to live with this virus, but as far as I'm concerned, everyone will have to be vaccinated, throughout the world, for everyone to be more safe.

Anyway, these are my thoughts for what they are worth.

Thank you for all of your kind comments left on my last post, I do appreciated them and it helps encourage me.

I have a coloured page today;

 Isn't this a fun shark!, I'm not sure if he's laughing or showing off his gold fillings lol, he's coloured with Bambino Clay Crayons, everything else is coloured with Derwent Coloursoft and Lightfast pencils.  The ocean is coloured with Derwent Inkintense pencils.

This is the book the page is from:

There are some really lovely pages in this book and it was as cheap as chips.

Anyhoo, that's me for today, keep yourselves safe and hope to see you soon,

Anything Goes for the CCC!

 Hello To You All, I hope your weekend is going well and you're enjoying yourselves, even if you're not doing much.

It's awfully close here today and it wouldn't surprise me if we had some thunder, however I got towels dried so I'm happy.

You might have noticed that I've now got a follow.it icon and a thingy for your email address if you still want to follow me. Some of you already follow on Bloglovin, although I can't find me on it lol, but I must have had an icon on my side bar at some time, anyhoo, I hope you will still follow me, even although I'm not doing so many cards nowadays.

So that being said, it's time again for the Christmas Card Club to make their cards, where did that last two weeks go to????  It's Anything Goes this time around, and both of my cards this challenge are created with Carnation Craft dies

Both of my cards are made from Carnation Crafts dies, and luckily I had them left from last year and had enough for both cards. The red card is from SU and I've added gems and Stickles. I'm pleased with them, they turned out lovely.

This is one of the reasons, I'm not making so many cards now, I feel as if I've lost quite a bit of enthusiasm, trying to think of designs seems like a chore. I also don't need so many cards now, I just stick to friends and family, and the odd sad card if necessary. Much more enjoying the colouring books.

Anyhoo, that's me for now, remember to have a look at all the lovely cards my CCC teamies will post, and thank you for your lovely comments on my last post.

Enjoy your Sunday, and take care, Scotland is wild with Covid, who would have thought!
