Humour for the CCC!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are enjoying your weekend and have some of the lovely weather that we are experiencing here in the Highlands. Beautiful sunshine, but frosty and very cold during the night, but that's okay.

Another fortnight has gone by and it's time for the girls from the Christmas Card Club to show their latest cards, and this time it's our lovely Rachel that's chosen the theme of Humour, here is what I've managed;

Here are the Hobby Art Camels, I love this image, such fun and I've used Prismacolours pencils to colour, and added just a little bit of Stickles to the Santa hat. I only managed one card this time, but I hope it will do Rachel, and I loved the challenge, so thank you.

Thank you too, to everyone who commented on my last post, I so much appreciated them.

Well, tomorrow is a big day for Scotland.....no not the Scottish Election, we have another eleven days for that, but the non essential shops are opening up, I think gyms are too, I'm hoping opticians are as I need my eyes tested. Once again it's not going to make all that much difference to us, other than having at long last our Velux blind  installed in the bed room, it was ordered before Christmas before the latest lockdown. So we'll see how it all goes.

That's me today, have a lovely Sunday whatever your plans and see you soon,

Fabulous card, I love the camels, but not to ride as my hub by and I found out in the Canary islands, we had one that was not very sure footed and by the time we had ridden it across the sand dunes we were both suffering with our backs.
Our shops open a week ago but as yet I am still to rush out and go shopping, just hoping that now life can get back to somewhat normal, whatever normal is. Enjoy your shopping when you go out.

Oh Kate you have really made me smile with this amusing image and sentiment. I love it. Our shops opened last week but apart from my very early morning trip to the supermarket (7.30 am because there are so few people in at that time)I still haven't been to any of them. Hope you get your blind fitted soon. Take care. Hugs Christine xx

OH! Kate that is the funniest card I've seen for an age. I LOVE the camels and the fabulous sentiment.
We lived in Saudi Arabia for a few years and I loved going to the Camel Souks. My driver at the time (women couldn't drive) was offered 7 camels for me, I think that was a bit expensive and he would have lived to regret it hahahaha
Hope you get your blind done sooner rather than later.

What a super fun image and card design Kate. We are still going in and out of different virus phase opening for shops, with some places having to close just after they started to open. I will be glad when things finally start to be more normal.

Hi Kate, a perfect card for the challenge set by Rachel. It certainly brought a smile to my face when I saw it! Love the sentiment too, also perfect for that particular image. I do hope you manage to get an appointment with your optician soon. The weather here has been glorious, sunshine for days. Our garden, like many, is now in need of some rain lol! Take care and stay safe my friend.
Love & Hugs Jennifer xx.

Fun card! Glad to hear things are opening up your way.
They are in my area too. So thankful ...I was really starting to feel a bit closed in. (But with being a crafter...I could always find things to do...smile!

What a fantastic card Kate. My hubby loves anything with camels on as he worked in Arabia before we were married. He would adore this card, as do I x

Your card definitely fits the bill. Love those camels. When the restrictions get lifted here it won't make much difference to us. The doc has a hairdressers appt booked but I am holding off till I have had the dreaded second vaccine in case I have a reaction again. I wear a hat in the garden at all times anyway and the fence is 6' high so no one is going to see me!! Hugs Mrs A.

Those HA camels make a fantatic and fun card Kate and love the music notes and the desert scene in the background, and of course that great sentiment. I meant to say on the last comment that I'm pleased you had your second jab and only minor side effects. I have my second one on Tuesday and only mild side effects I hope. Last time I did have the shivers which lasted a few hours, but luckily nothing else. x

This is hilarious! I love these camels who look like they drank a bit too much wine and that fez hat is priceless. Very funny!
