A Colourful Birthday!

Hello there, how are you all doing?, I hope the weekend is a good one whatever your plans are. Mid April, the weeks and months are whizzing by, scary or what.

Scotland opened up with travel restrictions being lifted on Friday, we could travel outwith our local council areas. We here in the Highlands, live in a really big  council area which takes in the Islands, however, we just went 20 miles of so to Foyers which is along the side of Loch Ness. We thought going to Nairn or Rosemarkie which is the coast would be crowded. To get to Foyers we had to pass through Dores, a little village on the side of the Loch and it was mobbed. the amount of cars parked along the very narrow road was amazing. It made me wonder what the road at Loch Lomond would be like. Anyhooo, we travelled along to our destination, with the intentions of turning back if that was crowded, but we were lucky, we were he only people there, so we had a lovely woodland walk then sat at the side of the Loch and had our picnic, it was just lovely.

I have a card today,

I've embossed a lovely Altenew stamp called Exotic Garden with WOW white EP on to water colour card and then used Altenew water colour paints to colour. Added a few gems and a sentiment from a Creative Stamping magazine. A little bow to finish.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last post.

I go for my second jab tomorrow, i'll be glad to finally get it, although life will continue as it's been doing for me for the last 18 months or so lol.

Take care everyone and enjoy the remainder of the weekend,

Happy Sunday Kate. Beautiful card. Pleased you had a lovely day out. No sign of Nessie then? ;) Good luck with the jab. Hope all goes well. Husband is having his second jab on Saturday. The time is flying by. I think I blinked and missed most of the Spring. Nice that the weather is picking up a little now though. Take care. Hugs to you both, Flo xx

Love your rainbow coloured card Kate. So bright and happy.
As for your drive, how lucky to find a quiet spot to enjoy your walk and picnic. We are carrying on as if we haven't had any restrictions lifted. Only going out when we need to and a walk around here, I feel with so many ignoring safety it's safer for us, even though we have had both jabs a couple of weeks ago.

Pretty card with all the colors in the background. Your trip sounds like such fun. We are both vaccinated now. So very grateful too. Idiots in the US that are not getting it is putting everyone else at risk and slowing the goal of keeping the spread at bay. Ugh......

Such a pretty mix of colours over the embossed flowers Kate and love the mats and layers on the scallop edged card. Glad you had a lovely picnic by the side of Loch Ness, it is good to be able to do more now. x
