All the Flowers!

Hello there, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and that the new week has got off to a good start. For some of you in the UK you have a little bit more freedom, being able to see more people which for many must be wonderful.

Our daily Covid briefings seem to have stopped because our politicians are out campaigning for the Scottish elections on May 6th. so I'm not all that sure when our more relaxed restrictions start, except for hairdressers opening, I've got that marked in big red letters in my diary, it's 5th April and I've got an appointment on the 8th. I did take the scissors to it the other month with disastrous results lol.

Just before Christmas I got my very long hair cut, I'd been growing it for 7 years and it was was down my back, and I was fed up with just having to put it up in some kind of way, so I decided I was going all Judy Dench, and I love it. But the only thing with having your hair short is you have to keep getting it cut to maintain the style, which also mean lots of money lol. Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting it cut again.

Thank you for all the lovely comments on my Christmas card, I do appreciate your continued visits,

I've completed another page in my planer;

I've used a combination of Bambino Clay crayons and Derwent Coloursoft pencils, with a few bits of gel sparkly gel pen here and there, finished off with a lovely quote from Card-io stamps. I actually loved colouring this page, some of the pages are so detailed that I begin to loose concentration, so I've decided to leave those alone, after all colouring is supposed to be a stress buster 😄

So that's me for now, remember to continue to keep yourselves safe, the virus is still out there,

Such a beautiful page Kate, the flower images are so delicate and pretty and your colouring of them is so neatly done. Love your colour
choices. My hair was down my back too Kate and....yes I too took the scissors to it lol! and not very well I might add lol. It is now shoulder length so I can still wear it up if I choose. Not sure what my hairdresser will say when I do go to get it trimmed! Have a good week Kate.
Hugs Jennifer xx.

Just reading your hair story Kate, I can totally identify as I have waist length hair, have done all my life with the exception of a few mad years in my 20's. According to my Mum I should grow up and get it cut, as if.

Your colouring page is beautifully done as usual and with a super summery feel to it.

Beautiful page, lovely colours. No idea when I will get my haircut, really annoying me now and as for the colour it feels so dull. At least we have back massages booked for 14 April and hubby has a haircut on 12 th thank goodness.

Beautiful coloring Kate, and what pretty flowers.

I haven't had my hair cut since the start of the shut down last year. We are having covid cases increasing so not sure where that will go. The vaccines are still in high demand so maybe that will help. It would be nice to finally go out somewhere.

Lovely card Kate, colouring is lovely.
We have to wait for another 2 weeks to see if any restrictions are lifted, doubtful as I think there will be a surge after easter

This is so gorgeous Kate! such pretty flowers and your colouring is so delicate too. Yes lovely to be able to see our grandchildren at long last. Bet you can't wait for a haircut now, I am a hairdresser so I am ok. I have coloured it a golden blonde shade now instead of very light blonde for a change and cut it shorter too. Stay safe ;) hugs Viv xx

Your card is lovely! I can't wait to get my hair cut. My hair is longer than it's been in many years. I'm afraid to cut it myself...The last time I did that it was a disater! I think I would make it look worse than it already does.
I was finally able to get a vaccine shot this week...so maybe I'll get to a hairdresser soon. (One can hope anyway)

Hi Kate

I can't imagine having hair that long!

The longest mine has every been is to my shoulders and that was many, many decades ago.

I have mine short .. .. and for the past year have been cutting it myself. I don't think I am doing too badly with it but I am sure my hairdresser won't agree when we finally meet up! LOL!!

Love the picture on your planner very much. A really lovely image. It would make a great stamp for card fronts too.

I hope you have a good Easter.

Love Jules xx

This is such a pretty page Kate and love your colouring. I can't wait to have my hair cut as mine is well beyond my shoulders and I have had to start putting it up to keep it off my face so can see where your coming from with a short hairstyle, but yes it does require more cutting to keep the style, but worth it I think. x

I love that sentiment and your coloring is lovely. I think there was a lot of home hair cutting going on during this pandemic. What else can a girl do. Your appointment is going to feel so good having someone making you all pretty and feeling fresh! Enjoy.
