Beneath the Cherry Tree!

 Hello to Everyone, I hope that you are all managing to cope with the strangeness of life at the moment.

We seem to be galloping through January, it seems like it to me and although we are in a sort of lockdown, thankfully, time isn't dragging, in fact, there seems to be not enough time in the day to get everything I won't to do done, how about you?

Damian loved his birthday card, I'm pleased to say, and had an enjoyable birthday, although quite different from the usual. Thank you for all your lovely comments on his card.

Now it's time for Moreen's card as her birthday is quite soon;

I've chosen dies from Carnation Crafts Beneath the Cherry Tree set. I cut our the gorgeous frame die and mounted it on to lilac card. The flowers and birds are Carnation Crafts artwork called Vignettes and they are die cut too. The sentiment is from the same company. I added Stickles for some sparkle, tiny clear gems and pearls.

 A side on view to show the decoupage of the flowers, except it doesn't really, lol.

This is a gorgeous die set, it's Oriental in theme and comes with, little houses set on a hill and those lovely Japanese bridges, flowers and water lilies.

So, that's me for today, it's been a dark, rainy day here, not a day to inspire, but still another day, so must be grateful for that. It's just so sad all the deaths from the virus, and in a country that's an island, shameful really, anyhoo, you all take care and keep yourselves safe and I'll see you soon,

A gorgeous card Kate, beautiful colours and lovely dies - so pretty.
It's miserable and wet here at the moment, it either seems to be icy or muddy when we walk the dogs at the moment.

What a gorgeous card and the rest of the set sounds lovely too. In some ways January seems to have dragge on and on and in other ways I havn't had enough time for what I want to do. Just waiting for our vaccine notification. Not sure whether it will be via phone call, a text, or a letter as everyone we know who has been notified it has all been different. Annoying as we normally don't answer the phone because of nuisance calls but have been doing so in case we miss a call. So far I have been told my sky network is on the blink (not on sky) and a iPad I bought on amazon(not registered with them) needed me to press (1) for a full refund to my account. The fact I am waiting for my vaccine shows I was wasn't born yesterday.!!! Hugs Mrs A.

Just lovely! I so agree with you about time flying. I didn't think that would happen because I rearely leave the house. I can always find something to do...especially in my craft room...

Gorgeous card Kate! Really pretty! Like you I am struggling to get everything done that I need to just now - last lockdown was so much easier as I was furloughed but this time around I am teaching on zoom - its not been easy but I guess I still get to see my classes every lesson so they arent missing out too much! Big hugs Rachel xx

I agree about the days passing by quickly, hard to believe January just flew by. You would think that because everyday is the same it would lag, but keeping busy I guess is the answer.

Your card is lovely. She is going to love it. The colors and those beautiful birds and flowers are gorgeous.

Hugs
Sue
