Take Me to the Ocean!

Hello Everyone,  I hope all is well with you and yours and that you've enjoyed your day.

We have had a swelterer today, 24 degrees at one point, it was marvellous sitting out in the garden and watching the birds.

We have a few Starling families just now and it was just delightful watching the babies being fed by their  parents, what noisy babies they are too.

I've got blocks of berry suet hanging up and they just love it, but I've noticed that the Blue Tits and Gold Finches are enjoying them too, when they can get into them that is....the Starling are such bullies.

I've got a lovely little wooden plaque today, unfortunately the colours aren't showing up all that well. All the stamps are from Chocolate Baroque and the swirly green plants are from an Imagination Crafts stencil. To create the sand I've used Pebeo textured sand and coloured it with Starlight Paints, in fact all the colours are Starlight. I've added some lovely pearl sequins from SU.
I have a space on my bedroom wall which is dedicated to my sea world and beach projects, so this is another one to add to the wall.

Well that's another weekend about to start, have you got something planned or like me take it as it comes. We have to have some thunder and rain tomorrow, and for sure it is awfully sticky hot just now.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last card, most appreciated.

That's me for now, enjoy your weekend whatever you get up to,

Gorgeous plaque Kate and I love the colours. We had the most horrendous storm yesterday evening and well into the night. Far worse than last week I think. Yet it hsn't really made much difference since it is still quite muggy. I am always very wary of lightening, especially as bad as this was, because our house been struck by lightening twice, although not for a number of years thankfully. Enjoy your weekend. Hugs Christine xx

A beautiful heart plaque Kate, such a lovely underwater scene - so pretty.
We have got a bird table for my Mum for her Birthday on Monday, she loves to watch the birds so we are hoping that it will encourage a few more into the garden for her.
Have a lovely weekend.

A bit muggy with the occasional shower for us today and yes the thunderstorms are supposed to come shortly. No plans this weekend as we've been so busy fussing in the garden this week with all the wonderful weather we could do with the break. How fabulous to watch the Starlings and their babies, even if they are thugs x. Your plaque looks great Kate and I bet with the starlights it's all sparkly? Great texture from the sand and also great that you you have a 'sea world' wall to put it this beautiful plague onto too x.

It is a lovely time of year. My sister had a family of robins nesting in a plant pot, we were going to take 2 of my grandkids to see them but they had flown the day before. The swans were sitting on nests yesterday in the park.
Gorgeous plaque, xxx

A beautiful underwater scene you have created on your
wonderful plaque. Loving the plank effect too.
I do like to see a little bit of texture on projects like
this and your ocean bottom looks great. I'm sure it
will have pride of place on your wall. Enjoy your
Sunday Kate.

How clever to make this very cool & serene looking seascape to fit a niche in your room. I bet it is very soothing on the hot days too. It's unusual with the heart shape and love the addition of those fab sea pearls. YOu did a great job stamping on this with the perfect placement of all the elements. Enjoy your hot weather. TFS & Hugs (and yes, birds can be very mean...our cardinals are extremely bad to some of the tiny birds that come to eat).

Kate, what a lovely wall hanging. The sea colors are lovely too. I love mermaids. Our granddaughter loves the ocean, and I am afraid someday she will move South away from the cold winters to be near the ocean. This piece is going to be lovely on your wall.

Hi Kate, what a fabulous plaque. Love the underwater scene and colours you used.
We have some birds nesting in a huge clematis we have growing over the garage that seem to come back each year, not really sure what birds they are but I do try to make sure there's enough food out for them. Whatever they are I love to see them.
