Golden Wedding Anniversary!

Good Morning to Eveyone and I hope all is well with you.  Here we are once again at the weekend, why do the come around so quickly, the weeks and months are galloping by.

I had a lovely birthday,  with beautiful cards and gifts, quite a bit of new crafting goodies too, lucky me. There was a downside though....I was a year older lol.

So we are into the World Cup...wall to wall footie. Now my hubby tries to let on that he's not that much interested in the game, but  flicking the channels over if I leave the room is a bit telling.  I heard him on the phone to friend Derek say in I was putting him out as the Sain//Portugal game coincided with Corrie and I wouldn't let him watch it and could he come over and watch the game with him. What a lying Toerag! and he took both scones that I'd hoped to have with a cuppa later in the evening...I would have only eaten one of the scones. Men!!
I did watch the first game on and off the other night and was pleased to see the much maligned Russia winning, and the camera shots of Pesident Putin and the Saudie chap whoever he was, we're priceless .  Anyway, Alistair arrived home having enjoyed his evening and a scone, but Derek  had no jam  for it...pity that, cos we have.

Right on to my card, something a wee bit different;
A pop up box card. This is for our neiboughrs who are celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary.  All the papers are from Sara Davis's Rustic Wedding pad. Most of the flowers are from Wild Orchid. The couple are great gardeners so thought I'd stick with the floral theme. I don't make this sort of thing often as they are so time consuming, I do hope they like it.

Thank to all who visited and left suck lovely comments on my last card and for the birthday wishes.

Not much going on here this weekend, the housework mainly, hope you all have a good one, cheerio for now and see you soon,

Hugs Kate xx

A wonderful card Kate and one that will be admired and treasured....
I am blessed with a man who hates every type of sport so no football in our house...but I am allowed for the next 4 weeks to watch the tennis every afternoon and even have my evening meal made for me...so long as I do all the preparation in the morning!...so I will be sat on the sofa and not crafting! Xxxx

Had a chuckle about DH, Derek and the scones and the football....
Actually I enjoyed the Spain and Portugal match as the football was excellent.
Your pop up box is amazing. Obviously made with love and so very thoughtful. I wouldn't know where to start.....absolutely stunning, they must have been thrilled with it? So glad you enjoyed your birthday and had more crafting goodies x

Oh that did make me smile about the scones, especially the jam. Hope you saw Outlander is back on Thursdays. Luckily hubby hates football as do I so none will be watched here. Your card is lovely, something to be treasured.

Hi Kate
Wow, what a smashing pop up. Bound to thrill any gardeners.
Isn't Alistair a rogue lol!
Sadly, Mr D doesn't even disguise the fact he wants to watch the footie.I don't mind some games, just not all of them lol!

What an amazing card Kate, it's a real statement piece and I'm sure it will be appreciated
Hubby does like a bit of football but I don't mind as its more craft time for me. I will watch the England games, although I haven't a clue about any of the rules!

Hello Kate, oh, how I so agree with you re the footie ... it's on just about every channel at the moment. You'd think one of them would have something better to offer people who don't follow the glorious game! Enough moaning, love your pop-up card - very pretty and the flowers are wonderful. Belated Birthday Wishes too - forget the extra year and enjoy every new day as it comes. Hugs, Elizabeth xx

Hi Kate, what a fabulous 50th Anniversary card (a gift really)! Love the garden of flowers and the pretty papers. They must have just loved it and been so impressed by your talent, as I am too looking at this beauty!

If it helps any, I could see my husband doing the same with the scones, they just don't think of anything but their needs........ugh..........

Hugs
Sue

First...thank you for visiting my humble blog! It was truly a nice surprise and I do create cards as well..honest..hahaha but I love my movies too. I just posted 2 cards I made if you care to see. I am so thankful that my hubby is not into sports so I feel for you:) I am amazed at your paper gift to them because this is no ordinary card and so much work involved. It really is quite stunning and beautiful.

The pop up box is very beautiful. It’s evident that you’ve put in a lot of effort to make this. My sister is also really good at crafts like these. I’m attending a close friend’s birthday party next week at the popular venue NYC, so I’ve asked my sister to make a card for her.
